Catherine gave the old man a hug and hesitated before saying, "Yes, this is my slave, an exceptional talent in Alchemy. His abilities are so high that even the three great Alchemists of the Bridport Empire are astonished. I have kept him by my side for several years to cultivate his skills before letting him out." 0

"That's wonderful! The progress of human alchemy has rapidly suppressed our dragon race's power. Unfortunately, humans are very wary of our kind and we cannot learn their knowledge at all. Now that we have this slave, our dragon race's Alchemy will surely develop." 0

After chatting for a bit, they left him sitting alone in what resembled a reception room. 0

Daniel observed carefully and found that although this was the base of the Dragon Resistance Army, there were still quite a few humans present. However, they were in a slave position. The dragons took them in mainly for convenience when mingling with human society; they did not regard them highly and treated them as slaves to carry out various tedious tasks. 0

He waited until the afternoon when Catherine finally appeared, looking down at Daniel with an air of superiority. In the human world, because she was a dragon, she had to submit to Daniel to avoid revealing her true identity, pretending to be his dragon companion. They even slept together at night, which was tormenting for her. 0

Now that they were at the base, she was the master and Daniel had become the servant. Their roles had reversed, and it was her turn to take charge and make things difficult for Daniel. 0

"Come with me; I have something for you to do." 0

"Yes." 0

Daniel shot her a fierce glare but nodded in agreement without resisting. 0

The two of them walked one after the other to an Alchemy Workshop where a group of people awaited them, half of whom were dragons transformed into human form. 0

"We will stay at the base for a month. During this time, you must teach them everything you know about alchemy." 0

Daniel knew this responsibility had fallen on him. Unfortunately, he was currently playing the role of Catherine's slave and could not oppose her wishes; he had to share all his knowledge. 0

Moreover, he wasn't even from the Dragon Rider World; the growth of dragon strength had nothing to do with him. 0

He would rather see the dragons grow stronger and engage in endless battles with the Dragon Rider Clan, hoping they would mutually destroy each other, making it easier for those from the Wizarding World to invade. 0

So he pretended to be enthusiastic and expressed great admiration for the dragons, saying, "Alright, no problem. I will definitely teach them everything I know." 0

The elder of the Golden Dragon Clan, who had been observing from the shadows, nodded to himself, thinking that sacrificing Catherine to obtain this slave was a good choice. At least it would elevate the dragon clan's alchemical knowledge by several levels, reducing casualties among his kin in the struggle against humans. 0

Next, Daniel settled in here, pouring out all the knowledge he had learned from Acarlo and the others. He retained only the knowledge of the Wizarding World, sharing nothing else. 0

Almost a month passed, and while Daniel was resting, Catherine suddenly ran over. Seeing Daniel, she grabbed him urgently and said, "Hurry, we need to go! The base has been exposed." 0

Daniel was startled; what was going on? He had only been there for a short time, and already the base was compromised. 0

For a moment, he didn't know what to do as Catherine pulled him outside. 0

On their way, Daniel noticed that the news of the base's exposure hadn't spread. Many dragons were leisurely enjoying their afternoon tea, seemingly unaware of the situation. 0

They did not leave through the entrance. Under Catherine's guidance, they quickly arrived deep within the base. The elder of the Golden Dragon Clan stood solemnly beside a door. Upon seeing them, he nodded and opened the door, saying, "Hurry! This is a secret passage that leads to a place ten miles away. No one knows about it." 0

"Uncle Bivis, come with us! The dragon clan cannot lose you," Catherine urged. 0

Bivis shook his head with a bitter smile. "No need for that. As the leader of this base, I have long been marked by humans as a target for their pursuit. I will wait here for them to arrive and buy you time. Go now; the dragon clan can survive without me but cannot do without the Holy Dragon." 0

Catherine's tears flowed painfully as she let out a low growl of anger. 0

Daniel felt equally sorrowful. This was a Sanctuary Expert; as a Golden Dragon, his combat strength was formidable, easily challenging foes beyond his level. Yet he would have to die here, with less than a ten percent chance of escaping. 0

Under Bivis's urging, Catherine gritted her teeth and pulled Daniel forward into the passage. They traversed through the long dark corridor until they finally reached the entrance. 0

Glancing at Catherine, who remained despondent, Daniel realized she was engulfed in pain over the base's exposure and needed to take charge herself. He quietly opened the gap in the Entrance to the Passage and looked around. Seeing no one, he led her outside, and they quickly fled into the open. 0

Not long after they left, they heard a painful dragon roar followed by someone saying, "Bivis! You really know how to hide. I've searched for you for years and finally found you. 0

I wonder if you still have the ability to escape this time. This should be an important base for your resistance; I wonder how much damage will be done to your forces once it is breached." 0

The roar of Bivis echoed. "Come on, let's see what progress you've made over these past 100 years. Do you really think you can deal with me?" 0

"I can't do it alone, so I've specially invited the leader of the Dragon Knight Corps and the leader of the Royal Earth Dragon Legion. Together, the three of us and our three dragons will see if you can escape." 0

With a loud bang, the battle began. Daniel was taken aback; he hadn't expected such a powerful force in this encirclement. From the tone of his opponent, it was clear that six Sanctuary Experts were personally involved, and with their subordinates, who knew how many people at the rebel base would be able to escape. 0

Turning around a section of the base, Daniel stopped in his tracks as a young boy appeared before him, riding an Earthwalker Dragon, accompanied by ten soldiers behind him. 0

From their equipment and demeanor, they were clearly elite soldiers of the Royal Earth Dragon Legion. The boy snapped his fingers dismissively and said, "I randomly chose a direction, and I didn't expect to find a dragon escaping. How annoying." 0

Upon seeing Catherine, his eyes lit up. "Not bad, I didn't expect to have such a good harvest today." 0

Catherine let out an angry roar and charged forward, but Daniel quickly pulled her back and took out a token representing his identity. "Who are you? What are you doing here? I don't care; I am an Alchemist. I have a document signed by my mentor Acarlo. I came all the way to Beast Mountain Range; step aside." 0

The opponent took the paper and glanced at it. Upon seeing the signatures of three Alchemists, his pupils slightly contracted. However, after glancing at the beautiful Catherine, he couldn't resist the temptation in his heart and tore the document apart coldly. "You dare impersonate an Alchemist? The Alchemist profession is so noble; how could one come to such a place personally, especially during our encirclement of the rebels? Who would believe that you have nothing to do with them?" 0

Daniel wanted to explain further but saw the opponent draw their weapon and charge at him. Knowing that fighting was unavoidable now, he frowned as soon as they clashed. The group had First-Level Wizard strength. Normally, with his abilities, he might have had a chance to kill them if he went all out. But now, as an Alchemist, he had to hide his identity as a wizard and couldn't use many of his methods. 0

In just a moment, he found himself at a disadvantage. 0

Catherine rushed over to help Daniel and unleashed her hidden dragon might to intimidate them. The Earthwalker Dragon was so frightened it nearly collapsed on the ground. Even though it had undergone training to resist dragon might, facing such powerful dragon presence was not easy; it trembled in fear and could hardly muster any fighting spirit. 0

However, the boy showed no fear; his eyes gleamed with excitement as he said, "Great! I didn't expect it to be a Silver Dragon; just right for capturing and taking back to guard the gate." 0

He also summoned his Companion Dragon Clan, which was also a Silver Dragon, shining brightly and exuding powerful might as it lunged toward Catherine. 0

Catherine's eyes flashed with anger; she found herself in the same predicament as Daniel. If she released her Holy Dragon's might, not even this Silver Dragon would dare confront her—let alone a Golden Dragon—but now she had to conceal her identity and could do nothing against him. 0

She glanced at Daniel, who was evading the soldiers' pursuit, flew over, grabbed Daniel, and turned to flee into the distance. 0

In the air, it was evident that at least a hundred dragons were escaping from the base, being hunted down by several Dragon Knights, making it nearly impossible for them to escape. 0

As for Bivis, he was under attack from three Sanctuary Dragon Knights and showed signs of defeat. Normally, with his abilities, he could escape even if he couldn't win, but now that the base had been breached, he fought to the death to cover the retreat of the dragons below. 0

He was clearly prepared to die, hoping to awaken more dragons with his sacrifice. 0

Others saw Daniel riding a dragon approaching, and the young man waved his hand for them to leave, indicating that he could handle it alone, clearly holding a significant position among them. 0

One chased while the other fled; in the blink of an eye, they covered thousands of miles. This distance was not far for dragons, but after fighting over a dozen battles in the air, Catherine was already exhausted, and Daniel could hear her heavy breathing. 0

He couldn't help but frown, realizing that if this continued, they would only end up captured. He needed to think of another way. 0

He took out several Magic Cores and some Alchemical Materials from his waist pouch and quietly began to prepare. 0

After some time, Catherine finally reached her limit and could no longer hold on, falling to the ground. 0

The young man followed her down, holding a longsword in his hand and wearing a confident smile. "Child, you are running away? I want to see how far you can go. Just accept your fate." 0
