Daniel did not think much and coldly commanded, "Land the Wizard Tower in the middle of the military camp. I want to see who dares to attack the Harris Family castle."
"Yes," Alva replied loudly after a moment of surprise.
Soon, the entire Wizard Tower descended straight down.
Watching the Wizard Tower fall from the sky like a giant mountain, the soldiers of the Granville Empire were thrown into chaos. They no longer cared about attacking the castle, panicking and unsure of what to do, with many even turning to flee.
However, there was still a figure who appeared to be a Commander, pointing upwards and shouting loudly, but Daniel completely ignored him.
After finally returning home, he discovered that his castle was besieged by enemies and under attack. If he had arrived even a moment later, it could have become a ruin; who wouldn't be furious?
The Commander, riding a Black Stallion and clad in Gilded Armor, with a Red Cloak billowing behind him, held his sword at an angle, looking imposing and arrogant. Yet, when faced with the Wizard Tower, he found himself helpless, merely watching it descend.
He wanted to issue an order to attack but hesitated for a long time and ultimately dared not act. With a long sigh, he turned his horse around and fled.
Not everyone had the courage to fight against the hundred-meter-long Wizard Tower slowly pressing down.
As he fled, the already chaotic army could no longer withstand the pressure and began to turn and run.
Daniel paid no attention and directed the Wizard Tower to land in the center of the military camp.
The Wizard Tower, originally supported by twelve giant steel legs, was observed by Daniel, who calmly said, "Lower it."
Alva was taken aback but followed orders to retract the giant legs of the Wizard Tower, allowing it to descend slowly.
Instantly, all the tents beneath the Wizard Tower were flattened, and several people who couldn't escape were crushed underneath without even a sound, reduced to pulp.
This terrifying scene frightened the enemies into fleeing even more desperately.
Then Daniel pointed at the fleeing Commander and said, "Iron Hoof, you lead the Knight Order and bring him back alive."
Iron Hoof responded and left with his subordinates, the Minotaur Knight.
Daniel calmed himself and slowly descended from the Wizard Tower. Suppressing his excitement, he walked towards Harrisburg, where someone was calling out.
"May I ask where the Master Wizard has come from? What brings you here?"
The voice belonged to his father, Viscount Harris.
"It’s me, Daniel Harris. I’m back."
After a moment, someone suddenly jumped down from the castle. He was powerful, and even in heavy armor, he moved with grace, landing lightly on the ground.
He took a few steps forward, removed his helmet, and looked at Daniel. After sizing him up for a moment, he embraced him tightly, patting his back joyfully. "It’s you! My son has finally returned."
There was an undeniable weariness in his voice.
Daniel was equally overjoyed, holding onto him tightly. After a while, Viscount Harris finally released him and asked happily, "What brings you back? Don’t Wizard Apprentices rarely return?"
This statement had some basis; although there were few Wizard Apprentices from the Okto Archipelago, the overall number of visitors was not small. As a Viscount, it wasn’t difficult for him to gather information.
However, from what he had learned, very few of the departing Wizard Apprentices ever returned. Even if they did come back, it was usually after thirty or forty years.
Given how little time had passed since Daniel left, could something have gone wrong?
"I just came back to see you."
Viscount Harris didn’t believe him at first, but upon hearing this reason, Daniel understood.
In fact, Viscount Harris wasn’t entirely wrong; it was true that Wizard Apprentices rarely returned after leaving. After years of study—often decades—many had long forgotten their homes.
In the blink of an eye, decades had passed. The world had changed drastically; parents had aged significantly, and many had passed away. What purpose would returning serve? Even if they did return, many would only take a distant glance without revealing themselves.
Moreover, the journey of a Wizard Apprentice was fraught with danger; countless individuals perished along the way. It was fortunate if even one in ten survived, further diminishing the number of those who returned.
He was exceptionally talented, and after going to the academy, he was taken in as an apprentice by his mentor. Everything went smoothly for him, and he encountered no dangers along the way, which allowed him to graduate in ten years.
"Don't you see what kind of person your son is? I am exceptionally talented; how can I be compared to others? I have already graduated and become a Formal Wizard. Father, can we just talk here? You won't let me in?"
"Hahaha, I was so happy that I forgot! Let's go home first and let your mother take a look."
Van pulled Daniel towards the castle.
After meeting the family, Daniel realized that his father was quite energetic. He had only been away for ten years and already had seven younger siblings. What a stud!
Seeing Daniel's unusual expression, Viscount Harris scratched his head awkwardly.
"I can't help it; who told me to have such vigor?"
Daniel shook his head helplessly. He accompanied Viscount Harris in the hall for a while before learning the reason why Harrisburg was besieged.
Three years ago, the Granville Empire suddenly launched a large-scale attack on the surrounding principalities to expand its territory. Dover Duchy happened to be within the range of attack. Despite the principality's efforts to resist, they could not withstand the invasion.
As a powerful noble family in the principality, the Harris Family was a pillar of resistance against the Granville Empire, inflicting significant damage on them.
That was why, despite besieging the capital of the principality, they still dispatched a military force to try to break through Harrisburg first and eliminate the Harris Family to intimidate the surrounding nobles.
Just then, a Squire came in with news. "My Lord Viscount, the young master has brought back Baronet Knight Barnett. Should we let him in?"
Viscount Harris was startled and exclaimed, "You actually brought Baronet Knight Barnett here? Why did you capture him? He is a disciple of Legendary Knight Lord Dominic! If he finds out you captured his apprentice, what should I do? Quickly let him in!"
Daniel didn't think much of the Legendary Knight. Although the Life Level of a Legendary Knight was equivalent to that of a Formal Wizard, theoretically there wasn't much difference between them; however, their combat abilities were not comparable.
A Legendary Knight only had the same Life Level as a wizard but could not match a Formal Wizard in combat strength. In fact, even during his participation in the Talent Wizard Championship, he could find ways to exhaust a Legendary Knight to death. How could he possibly fear him?
"Don't worry; just a mere Legendary Knight is nothing to me."
But Viscount Harris would not listen. The reason why Harrisburg could still hold on until now was that he had successfully advanced to become a Great Knight.
A Great Knight is already formidable, let alone a Legendary Knight. Even with the Granville Empire and its surrounding principalities, there is only one Legendary Knight, who serves as the National Guardian Warrior of the Granville Empire. Not even the emperor dares to act recklessly in front of him.
If the Harris Family were to offend him, they could be easily wiped out.
Soon, Iron Hoof entered, dragging Barnett and throwing him harshly to the ground. He knelt and shouted loudly, "Master, I have brought him back."
Daniel waved his hand, signaling him to leave.
However, Harris did not dare to be so bold. He quickly walked down to untie Barnett.
Barnett stood up and glared fiercely at Daniel, coldly saying, "Harris, you really have some nerve to capture me. I will definitely tell the teacher."
Viscount Harris smiled awkwardly and said, "This is a misunderstanding; it’s all a misunderstanding."
"Misunderstanding? What misunderstanding? If you don’t want me to tell the teacher, then kill me." He pointed arrogantly at Daniel, showing no awareness of being a captive.
This...
Viscount Harris could not agree to that. His son had just returned with great difficulty; there was no way he would agree to let someone kill him.
"Then you just wait. I will definitely tell the teacher..."
Before he could finish, Daniel threw a fireball at him. At this moment, having advanced to Formal Wizard, the power of the Fireball Spell was far beyond that of a Wizard Apprentice. Barnett didn’t even make a sound before being completely incinerated by the fireball.
Viscount Harris stood frozen in place, watching this scene in disbelief. This was a Great Knight, and just like that, he was gone without leaving a trace.
It should be noted that this was a Great Knight, not an ordinary person. Even in a principality, having one or two is already exceptional; they are the pillars of the nation and its strongest military force.
More importantly, he suddenly remembered that Barnett was a disciple of Dominic, and cold sweat broke out immediately.
Although Barnett was also a Great Knight, he was simply incomparable. The other party might have learned a few more knightly secrets, but in an actual fight, he could easily defeat or even kill him.
But why had Barnett been living so well all this time?
He is afraid!
Barnett is the disciple of Legendary Knight Dominic, and he is quite favored. If he were to be killed, Dominic would definitely not spare him; the entire Harris Family would be destroyed in his wrath.
Now Daniel has actually killed Barnett. What should he do? After being stunned for a moment, he suddenly pushed Daniel and said, "You need to leave quickly. While Dominic doesn't know yet, get out of here as fast as you can. You must not let him find you."
In the face of death, he still chooses to protect his child.
Daniel smiled faintly and confidently said, "Father, why be afraid? It's just a Legendary Knight. If he dares to come over, I won't let him leave Harrisburg."
"You don't understand; that is a Legendary Knight, someone you cannot deal with."
Daniel shook his head, knowing that if he didn't show some of his power, his father wouldn't feel at ease, and the entire Harrisburg would fall into panic.
He signaled for his father to follow him and walked all the way to the city wall. Daniel whistled, and all the members of the Knight Order who saw him rushed over, lining up to accept his inspection.
"Greetings, Master."
