As Daniel was trying to find the true meaning of fire among the vast books, a message suddenly came from Maxwell.
"Daniel, come to my place."
Daniel agreed and made his way to his mentor's Wizard Tower.
"Mentor, what do you need me for?"
"Nothing much, just come meet two old friends of mine. I think you'll really like them."
Daniel was puzzled; he had not been in the Wizarding World for three years yet, so when did he have old friends here?
He didn't have to wait long before a hearty laughter echoed from outside. "Hahaha, Maxwell, my old friend, I hope my sudden visit isn't bothering you!"
With the laughter, two people walked in. The first was a bald old man whose face was covered with lightning-like scars, making him look fierce and terrifying.
The second was a beautifully dressed woman with two ponytails that reached her waist, swaying as she walked, drawing attention.
Daniel indeed recognized these two; they were Gerald, a mentor from the Blood Thunder Sorcery Academy, and his apprentice. It was thanks to them that Daniel caught his mentor's attention.
On the way to the academy initially, they had attempted to rob the Vessels where Daniel was located, aiming to plunder its apprentices. However, under Daniel's command, they ended up being robbed instead.
"Haha, how could that be? I'm glad you could come!" Maxwell said. "This is my apprentice, Daniel."
"Well," Gerald glanced at Daniel, not recognizing him. This was normal; at that time, Daniel was just an ordinary apprentice, blending into the crowd. How could he pay attention to someone as insignificant as an ant?
Who would have thought he could become a Wizard Seed and a prominent figure in the academy in just two or three years?
Even now, Daniel was merely a Second-Level Wizard Apprentice. In the eyes of his mentor, only a Third-Level Apprentice would leave an impression.
Maxwell asked knowingly, "How did you think to come find me?"
"Haha, I just wanted to discuss some things with your academy. Natalie is my most prized apprentice, and we have a Wizard Seed who just left, making room for her.
I happened to hear that your academy also has a Wizard Seed who has been promoted to wizard and left the academy. I thought it would be nice to bring her over for some
communicate and see how your new Wizard Seed compares. She should be quite a bit stronger than Natalie!"
Gerald's tone was filled with pride; he was very pleased with Natalie. Otherwise, he wouldn't have brought her up to boast.
Initially, he had tried to rob someone but ended up being robbed himself, losing face. Now he had to make sure Natalie regained that honor.
Daniel shivered; he knew that becoming a Wizard Seed meant preparing to fight for the honor of the academy, but he didn't expect it to come so soon. He was very wary of Natalie, even more so than of Brook.
At least losing a battle against Brook meant just that—losing. There were no major consequences. But with Natalie, who knew what might happen? After all, she could perform Transmutation.
Transmutation wasn't limited to turning things into sheep; there were other types: Turtle Transformation, Rabbit Transformation, Pig Transformation, Cat Transformation, Penguin Transformation, and Monkey Transformation—any animal would do.
Just like Cecil, who was turned into a Frog and jumped into the sea. Those affected by Transmutation would act according to their instincts. Jumping into the sea was mild; being turned into a sheep would only mean eating a couple of bites of grass—nothing too serious.
But if one were turned into a dog with a pile of mess nearby... There's an old saying: A dog traveling thousands of miles cannot change its habit of eating feces.
He was completely despondent.
"Haha, this is good. We really should have a chat. Sit down, sit down."
Once everyone was seated, Daniel looked at the empty table, which didn't even have a glass of water on it, and asked with a smile, "Instructor, what would you like to drink?"

"Natalie, this is your first time at our academy, right? I'll have Daniel show you around."

"Senior Sister, what do you think of the potions they are making?"
"Not much, is this the level of your academy?"
In Natalie's view, the potions these people were making were just the most basic ones and nothing special.
Daniel's face turned red with indignation as he pretended to be angry and said, "That's just because they haven't learned well; just watch me make potions."
Natalie glanced at him and nodded in agreement. She was quite curious as to why Maxwell had asked Daniel to host her. After all, Daniel was just an ordinary Second-Level Wizard Apprentice with nothing particularly impressive about him.

Curiosity drove her to keep watching.
Hearing that the professor was going to brew potions, many apprentices gathered around, eager to learn. They greatly admired the professor's ability to brew potions. They were astonished to see Daniel directly throw a basket of herbs into the cauldron.
Brewing potions is a serious discipline that requires precise knowledge about what herbs to use, their quantities, their ages, and when to add each ingredient—all with very detailed requirements.
Many people would first use precise weighing instruments to measure out the herbs and set them aside, timing everything perfectly, adding each herb exactly as required without daring to change anything. Even so, there were still many chances for failure.
How could Daniel succeed with such a haphazard method? It truly did not match his reputation.
