As Daniel was trying to find the true meaning of fire among the vast books, a message suddenly came from Maxwell. 0

"Daniel, come to my place." 0

Daniel agreed and made his way to his mentor's Wizard Tower. 0

"Mentor, what do you need me for?" 0

"Nothing much, just come meet two old friends of mine. I think you'll really like them." 0

Daniel was puzzled; he had not been in the Wizarding World for three years yet, so when did he have old friends here? 0

He didn't have to wait long before a hearty laughter echoed from outside. "Hahaha, Maxwell, my old friend, I hope my sudden visit isn't bothering you!" 0

With the laughter, two people walked in. The first was a bald old man whose face was covered with lightning-like scars, making him look fierce and terrifying. 0

The second was a beautifully dressed woman with two ponytails that reached her waist, swaying as she walked, drawing attention. 0

Daniel indeed recognized these two; they were Gerald, a mentor from the Blood Thunder Sorcery Academy, and his apprentice. It was thanks to them that Daniel caught his mentor's attention. 0

On the way to the academy initially, they had attempted to rob the Vessels where Daniel was located, aiming to plunder its apprentices. However, under Daniel's command, they ended up being robbed instead. 0

"Haha, how could that be? I'm glad you could come!" Maxwell said. "This is my apprentice, Daniel." 0

"Well," Gerald glanced at Daniel, not recognizing him. This was normal; at that time, Daniel was just an ordinary apprentice, blending into the crowd. How could he pay attention to someone as insignificant as an ant? 0

Who would have thought he could become a Wizard Seed and a prominent figure in the academy in just two or three years? 0

Even now, Daniel was merely a Second-Level Wizard Apprentice. In the eyes of his mentor, only a Third-Level Apprentice would leave an impression. 0

Maxwell asked knowingly, "How did you think to come find me?" 0

"Haha, I just wanted to discuss some things with your academy. Natalie is my most prized apprentice, and we have a Wizard Seed who just left, making room for her. 0

I happened to hear that your academy also has a Wizard Seed who has been promoted to wizard and left the academy. I thought it would be nice to bring her over for some 0
communicate and see how your new Wizard Seed compares. She should be quite a bit stronger than Natalie!" 0

Gerald's tone was filled with pride; he was very pleased with Natalie. Otherwise, he wouldn't have brought her up to boast. 0

Initially, he had tried to rob someone but ended up being robbed himself, losing face. Now he had to make sure Natalie regained that honor. 0

Daniel shivered; he knew that becoming a Wizard Seed meant preparing to fight for the honor of the academy, but he didn't expect it to come so soon. He was very wary of Natalie, even more so than of Brook. 0

At least losing a battle against Brook meant just that—losing. There were no major consequences. But with Natalie, who knew what might happen? After all, she could perform Transmutation. 0

Transmutation wasn't limited to turning things into sheep; there were other types: Turtle Transformation, Rabbit Transformation, Pig Transformation, Cat Transformation, Penguin Transformation, and Monkey Transformation—any animal would do. 0

Just like Cecil, who was turned into a Frog and jumped into the sea. Those affected by Transmutation would act according to their instincts. Jumping into the sea was mild; being turned into a sheep would only mean eating a couple of bites of grass—nothing too serious. 0

But if one were turned into a dog with a pile of mess nearby... There's an old saying: A dog traveling thousands of miles cannot change its habit of eating feces. 0
He was completely despondent. 0

"Haha, this is good. We really should have a chat. Sit down, sit down." 0

Once everyone was seated, Daniel looked at the empty table, which didn't even have a glass of water on it, and asked with a smile, "Instructor, what would you like to drink?" 0

"Coffee," "Coffee." 0

Both instructors ordered coffee, and Daniel turned to Natalie and asked, "Senior Sister, what would you like to drink?" 0

"Juice." 0

"Juice sounds great; it's good for beauty and health, perfect for a beauty like you." 0

Daniel hurriedly went back and forth to bring two cups of juice and two cups of coffee, handing them over. 0

Natalie took her cup with a cold expression and said nothing. 0

The two instructors chatted while Daniel could only play the role of a runner. 0

Maxwell noticed that Daniel seemed uncomfortable and understood that he was under a lot of pressure. After all, facing a Third-Level Apprentice as a Second-Level Apprentice was no easy task, and he couldn't just give up. 0

"Natalie, this is your first time at our academy, right? I'll have Daniel show you around." 0

As the two walked together, Daniel quietly glanced at Natalie. 0

Natalie Third-Level Apprentice Strength: 46 Agility: 5 Constitution: 46 Mental Power: 68 0

Her strength is formidable even among Third-Level Apprentices. 0

Comparing it to his own. Daniel Second-Level Apprentice Strength: 0

Agility: Constitution: 9 Mental Power: 4 0

He is completely outclassed. Daniel instantly feels like he has been utterly defeated. 0

There’s no choice but to compare with others. 0

Jim First-Level Apprentice Strength: Agility: Constitution: 4 Mental: 14 0

Furnal First-Level Apprentice Strength: 0 Agility: 19 Constitution: Mental Power: 11 0

Being able to successfully advance to First-Level Apprentice within two years, both of them can be considered among the top tier of this group of apprentices. 0

Especially Jim, who already has fourteen points in Mental Power, will likely advance to Second-Level Apprentice in a few years. He is among the most elite. 0

However, compared to himself, they are simply not enough. Daniel feels a bit better; it's not that he isn't trying hard, but that the enemies are too strong. 0

While he is trying to soothe his wounded spirit, Natalie suddenly stops and coldly asks him, "What are you doing? If there’s a next time, I’ll turn you into a roasted pig." 0

Daniel smiles awkwardly, pretending not to understand, but cold sweat is already pouring down. He has never failed in detecting others' data before; while this is partly because he never probes Formal Wizards, it is still the first time he has been caught off guard. Just how terrifying is Natalie's strength? 0

It seems that next time, one should avoid using it on someone with stronger abilities to prevent any issues. 0

Daniel led her around, eventually arriving at the potion-making area. This is where the Pharmacology apprentices in the academy prepare potions. 0

Not everyone can afford to buy a complete set of potion-making equipment; many apprentices only practice a few times when they have free time and are not professional Apothecary Apprentices. They simply cannot afford a full set of equipment and have to come here to rent the tools for their potion-making. 0

"Senior Sister, what do you think of the potions they are making?" 0

"Not much, is this the level of your academy?" 0

In Natalie's view, the potions these people were making were just the most basic ones and nothing special. 0

Daniel's face turned red with indignation as he pretended to be angry and said, "That's just because they haven't learned well; just watch me make potions." 0

Natalie glanced at him and nodded in agreement. She was quite curious as to why Maxwell had asked Daniel to host her. After all, Daniel was just an ordinary Second-Level Wizard Apprentice with nothing particularly impressive about him. 0

What she didn't know was that Daniel had only recently become a Wizard Apprentice, and despite his rapid progress, he still had many shortcomings, which was why he appeared this way. 0

Daniel rolled up his sleeves, found a spot, grabbed a pot for cleaning tools from the side, and then took a glass rod for stirring potions. 0

Looking at the glass rod in his hand, which was about the thickness of chopsticks, Daniel shook his head, feeling it was a bit thin. He grabbed another handful of glass rods, summoned flames in his hand to heat them until they melted and deformed, ultimately forming a thick glass rod. Satisfied, he nodded. 0

Natalie watched in astonishment; she had never seen anyone prepare for potion-making like this. The next scene left her even more dumbfounded. 0

Daniel instructed someone to help him fetch the ingredients, which seemed quite normal. However, Natalie noticed that the amount of ingredients was enough to make dozens of Mental Potions. 0

Did he really want to brew dozens of Mental Potions in one go? That was too absurd. Brewing a single Mental Potion took a quarter of an hour, which wasn't too long. 0

But brewing dozens consecutively would take an immense amount of time. He certainly didn't have that much time. 0

Curiosity drove her to keep watching. 0

Hearing that the professor was going to brew potions, many apprentices gathered around, eager to learn. They greatly admired the professor's ability to brew potions. The quantity of even just ordinary potions he produced was several times greater than theirs; they truly had no idea how he managed it. 0

They were astonished to see Daniel directly throw a basket of herbs into the cauldron. 0

Brewing potions is a serious discipline that requires precise knowledge about what herbs to use, their quantities, their ages, and when to add each ingredient—all with very detailed requirements. 0

Many people would first use precise weighing instruments to measure out the herbs and set them aside, timing everything perfectly, adding each herb exactly as required without daring to change anything. Even so, there were still many chances for failure. 0

How could Daniel succeed with such a haphazard method? It truly did not match his reputation. 0
