Eileen stood in front of Mad Dog's office, the door firmly closed, yet shouts and curses echoed from within. She gripped the documents tightly, trying to remain calm, but each angry outburst quickened her heartbeat. She knew that so far, no proposal had satisfied Mad Dog, which undoubtedly increased her pressure. 0

Lisa stood beside her, her expression serious, anxiety and concern evident in her eyes. She glanced at Eileen from time to time, seemingly offering silent encouragement. "You can do it, Eileen. We all believe in you," Lisa whispered, her voice trembling slightly. 0

Mark maintained his usual demeanor, even appearing a bit cheeky. "Don't worry, that old guy just likes to blow up," he said casually. "Our proposal this time will definitely impress him." 0

Eileen took a deep breath, striving to calm herself. She knew this proposal was their only chance to stand out in this crazy television station. Her heart raced; each curse felt like a hammer striking her heart, but she stood firm. 0

The shouting inside grew louder, Mad Dog's roar almost penetrating the thick door: "What kind of crap proposal is this?! Are you trying to mess with me?!" 0

Eileen felt her palms sweat slightly; she unconsciously tightened her grip on the documents, focusing hard. Just then, the door swung open, and a recently scolded employee walked out dejectedly, his face filled with disappointment and helplessness. 0

"It's our turn," Eileen said softly to Lisa and Mark, then took a deep breath and stepped into the office. 0

Mark patted Eileen's shoulder with a teasing smile. "Go for it, Eileen. This time we’ll definitely make him shut up." 0

Eileen nodded and pushed open the door, entering Mad Dog Jenkins' office. The lighting was dim, and the walls were adorned with various awards and photos, but what caught the eye most was a shotgun hanging on the wall behind Mad Dog. The golden barrel glimmered coldly under the light, sending a chill down her spine. 0

By the desk sat two voluptuous Black women playing with their phones, seemingly waiting for Mad Dog to finish his business for the day. Their presence made the room feel more like a mob hideout than an ordinary office. Eileen sensed she was in an exceptionally dangerous environment; every detail reminded her that this was not a place where mistakes could be easily forgiven. 0

Eileen took a deep breath, trying to suppress her inner tension as she approached the desk. She felt Jenkins' gaze fixed on her like a predator ready to pounce, making every cell in her body scream with anxiety. 0

"What do you have that's good?" Jenkins asked coldly, his eyes filled with disdain. 0

Erin placed the documents on the table, trying hard to appear calm and composed. "We have a very unique proposal regarding the mysterious beliefs of the town of Esperanza in Spain." 0

Jenkins furrowed his brow, showing some interest but still maintaining a detached demeanor. "Spain? What interesting things can be found there?" He appeared confused and skeptical, seemingly unable to believe that this distant place could offer any valuable reporting material. 0

Erin continued, "Esperanza is a small town located in the northern mountains of Spain, surrounded by dense forests and rolling hills. Most of the residents engage in agriculture and livestock farming, leading simple and traditional lives. There is a medieval church that once served as an important site for religious activities. It is said to have been a place of practice for saints and hermits, leaving behind many mysterious legends. Over time, the church has gradually fallen into disrepair but still attracts some devout believers who come to pray and worship." 0

She paused for a moment, watching Jenkins' reaction, then continued, "However, in this town exists a completely different form of belief—the Holy Angel Cult. The beliefs of this cult are entirely different from those of God and are particularly mysterious and bizarre. Many strange legends circulating online originate from there. It is said that it is referred to as 'Cicada Town' because the sound of cicadas can be heard throughout the seasons." 0

Jenkins listened, his brow slightly furrowed, clearly intrigued by the proposal but still wearing a skeptical expression. "Go on." 0

Erin nodded and turned to Jenkins, a glint of mischief in her eyes. "In fact, Esperanza has many mysterious incidents; numerous cases of mysterious deaths have circulated online. These cases are quite bizarre, and many people are very curious about the beliefs there." 0

Jenkins frowned, appearing even more doubtful. "Damn... Can we trust what those internet trolls say?" 0

Erin calmly pulled out a stack of documents and handed them to Jenkins. Inside were several photos, each one chilling. There were images of a male corpse with severed genitals, a priest with no teeth, and some blurry yet blood-soaked bodies. She gently tapped on the photos and said, "These are actual cases that have occurred; what circulates online is just the tip of the iceberg. These photos come from internal police records and are verifiable real events." 0

Jenkins stared at the photos, his brow furrowing even tighter. His gaze swept over the horrifying images, each one darkening his expression further. He remained silent for a moment before slowly nodding, seemingly finally convinced. 0

Jenkins flipped through the photos one by one, his face revealing deeper contemplation. The horrors depicted in each photo seemed to evoke memories he was reluctant to recall. He muttered under his breath, "Damn... this is no better than what I saw in the gang." 0

His gaze became more focused as if he were carefully pondering the truths behind these cases. Every detail in the photos, every wound seemed to tell him untold terrifying stories. Jenkins slowly set down the photos and looked up at Erin with a serious tone. "These photos do indeed have some weight to them. You say all these happened in Esperanza?" 0

Erin nodded firmly and said, "Yes, these are all cases that occurred there. The mysterious deaths and bizarre beliefs are intricately connected. We believe that uncovering the truth behind this mysterious cult will cause a huge sensation." 0

Jenkins was silent for a moment, then slowly nodded, a hint of a satisfied smile appearing at the corner of his mouth. "That sounds good, much better than those ridiculous proposals." 0
