The Dazzling New Star of the Heroes of the Martial World
Within the Poetry Sect, Mengzi and the Central Plains Martial Arts Community faced off against the Half-Dragon leading the Half-Beast Army. Both sides were eager for battle, weapons drawn, as a spectacular confrontation was about to ignite. Sun Simiao, seeking to drive out the barbarians, first ordered Yamada Koji to take action, while the Half-Orc dispatched an elite Half-Tiger Man to confront Yamada Koji. The Half-Tiger Man lunged at Yamada Koji with fierce claws, aiming for a quick victory. However, Yamada Koji's tough skin and iron bones made him impervious to harm, no matter how much the Half-Tiger Man struggled. The Half-Tiger Man relied on his incredible speed to maintain the battle.
In a clash of titans, Mengzi faced the composed Half-Dragon, marking a duel between their respective commanders. Mengzi struck first, delivering a powerful palm strike towards the Half-Dragon. The Half-Dragon would not be provoked; with a sweep of its tail, it dissipated Mengzi's palm energy. Mengzi then unleashed a renowned technique from the Confucian school, "Killing with Benevolence," sending forth a torrent of energy towards the Half-Dragon in an attempt to establish dominance with a single blow. The Half-Dragon responded swiftly with its own technique, "Flying Dragon," summoning a massive dragon formed from clouds that dove down to counter Mengzi's attack. The collision of these extraordinary techniques created a shockwave that split the ground for miles and caused debris to scatter everywhere, leaving everyone in awe. Both combatants were pushed back by the force of their energies.
Dreamy Beauty found herself facing the lecherous Half Lion Man. "Beauty, let this lion satisfy your needs," he declared as he lunged at her with his claws aimed at her femininity. Dreamy Beauty swiftly sidestepped his attack and retorted, "Ha! You lecherous beast are not qualified to fulfill my desires." She counterattacked with a palm strike imbued with tremendous force aimed at the Half Lion Man. Faced with such overwhelming energy, the Half Lion Man dared not confront it directly; instead, he leaped into the air to evade her strike and continued his assault with his sharp lion claws targeting her vital areas, eager to taste womanly pleasures after days away from softness. Dreamy Beauty would not allow him such ease; she countered with multiple palm strikes aimed at thwarting his advances. The Half Lion Man used his superior speed to dodge her attacks repeatedly, resulting in a stalemate between them.
Duanmu Chong was injured and could only face Mengzi's prized disciples: Zilu, Zeng Gong, Liang Shanbo, and Zhu Yingtai. Zilu and Liang Shanbo struggled against Duanmu Chong while Zeng Gong and Zhu Yingtai surrounded Surveillance Motive. Although Duanmu Chong was still nursing old wounds, he would not be bullied like a fallen tiger; his powerful palm strikes rained down on Zilu and Liang Shanbo as he sought revenge against his enemies. Zilu and Liang Shanbo invoked techniques taught by Mengzi to defend against Duanmu Chong's lethal attacks. However, due to their significant power disparity, both were injured by Duanmu Chong's strikes. Meanwhile, Zeng Gong and Zhu Yingtai found themselves in a precarious situation against Surveillance Motive, who had been severely weakened and lacked inner strength for recovery; they could only passively endure blows without any chance for retaliation. After several exchanges, Surveillance Motive was left covered in handprints from Zeng Gong and Zhu Yingtai, teetering on the brink of death. Just as Surveillance Motive was about to succumb, Duanmu Chong intervened just in time to pull him back from death’s door.
Sun Simiao faced Eastern Proud Dragon alone. Despite his low martial prowess and shallow inner strength, he skillfully utilized various medicinal concoctions to enhance his combat abilities, allowing him to remain undefeated against Eastern Proud Dragon. Although Eastern Proud Dragon possessed immense strength and some foundational skills, he found himself at an impasse against Medicine King Sun Simiao. Just then, Yi Junsheng could no longer contain himself; wielding giant scissors, he jumped into the fray and launched an assault on Eastern Proud Dragon. Reverse Head and Killer Yu Rang saw Yi Junsheng enter battle and joined forces to attack Eastern Proud Dragon simultaneously. Suddenly outnumbered by four opponents, Eastern Proud Dragon found himself in dire straits.
Yi Junsheng fought fiercely with the intent to slay the formidable Tall Guy to relieve his long-standing frustrations and honor Sanwei Daoist's spirit. Reverse Head sought vengeance for his close friend without holding back any attacks. Killer Yu Rang focused solely on striking Eastern Proud Dragon's vital points to complete his mission. Sun Simiao aimed for fame in the martial world and would not allow Eastern Proud Dragon to perish at another's hands; he unleashed powerful moves without holding back. Under this four-person siege, Eastern Proud Dragon was battered and bloodied, nearly losing consciousness from his injuries. Just as Killer Yu Rang prepared to deliver a fatal blow with his sword, a timely palm strike arrived just in time to save Eastern Proud Dragon from crisis—once again delivered by Duanmu Chong. Seizing this opportunity for respite, Eastern Proud Dragon moved toward Duanmu Chong for protection against further attacks. Yi Junsheng and the others then redirected their focus toward surrounding Duanmu Chong instead.
Zhuge Kongming, Fan Buzhao, Sima Qian, Hua Mulan, along with many disciples from the Martial Arts Community and Confucius Academy engaged other Half-Orcs in fierce battles resulting in mutual casualties. Amidst these numerous clashes occurring simultaneously, a verse resonated through the battlefield:
"Buddha and Demon Cultivation Together is the Way,
Half Literary, Half Martial, Truly Extraordinary.
Countless Strategies Within,
Supreme Leader of the Martial World: Ren Xiaoyao."
Ming Lang Qian Kun·Yi Zhangzhi unexpectedly arrived at the scene. Mengzi and Half-Dragon confronted Yi Zhangzhi as soon as he appeared, for neither wanted to let Yi Zhangzhi take advantage of the situation. Yi Junsheng saw his younger brother arrive and exclaimed, “A Piece of Paper, damn it, Duanmu Chong is here, hurry up and take him down.”
At this moment, Yi Zhangzhi made his move. With his left hand, he channeled energy, and the Daoist Name Technique·Tai Chi True Qi surged forth. His right hand flipped, unleashing the magical technique Waste of Effort, Severing the Veins, both techniques striking towards Mengzi and Half-Dragon. Facing the powerful Qigong emitted by Yi Zhangzhi, who had merged the three powers into one, Mengzi responded cautiously, executing the Confucian Sect's Ultimate Skill·Killing Justice, infused with a vigorous inner strength to counter the incoming attack; meanwhile, Half-Dragon, fully aware of Yi Zhangzhi's capabilities, did not dare to underestimate him. He summoned his true essence and unleashed the Divine Essence Secret Arts·Divine Dragon's Tail, attempting to match Yi Zhangzhi's magical technique. The four techniques collided with explosive force, sending shockwaves that could be felt for miles. Both Mengzi and Half-Dragon were slightly outmatched and were pushed back dozens of miles from the Poetry Sect. Yi Zhangzhi, however, shifted his target and launched an attack on Duanmu Chong.
With Duanmu Chong unable to spare any effort to defend himself, he was besieged by Yi Junsheng and others, who overwhelmed both Eastern Proud Dragon and Surveillance Motive. Without the protection of Duanmu Chong, both were left in disarray. Yi Junsheng mercilessly left a large gash on Eastern Proud Dragon, while Reverse Head left several palm prints on him. In a bid for a clean kill, Killer Yu Rang pierced through Eastern Proud Dragon's neck with a single sword strike. A terrible scream echoed as Eastern Proud Dragon, filled with resentment, fell to the ground; in that moment, his unwilling gaze seemed to accuse the injustice of his fate, while his pained expression chronicled the cruelty of the world. As Killer Yu Rang withdrew his sword from the neck of Eastern Proud Dragon, the latter's body fell apart in a gruesome sight. Seeing this, Yi Junsheng remarked, “Damn it, the tall guy has finally gone to hell! His end is just like that of his brother—body and head separated! Hahaha, truly a pair of good brothers; even their deaths are identical. Poor Sanwei Daoist, you can finally rest in peace.”
Before Yi Junsheng could finish his vengeful speech, an unexpected scene unfolded. It was seen that the merged powers of Yi Zhangzhi had been defeated by the less than fifty percent capable Duanmu Chong, who had also sustained injuries and was spitting blood. Yi Junsheng could hardly believe what he was witnessing; he even doubted whether there was something wrong with his eyes. “What is going on here?” he questioned.
Originally prepared to expend all his strength against Yi Zhangzhi, Duanmu Chong was astonished that he had actually managed to defeat him—something he himself could hardly believe. The injured Yi Zhangzhi immediately fled the scene. Just as he left the vicinity of the Poetry Sect, both Mengzi and Half-Dragon returned to find out about how Yi Zhangzhi had been defeated by Duanmu Chong. They both suspected it was a trick devised by Yi Zhangzhi, though they were unsure of its purpose. Seeing that Yi Zhangzhi had already departed from the sect, Mengzi launched an attack on Half-Dragon. The two exchanged minor injuries; however, undeterred, Half-Dragon retaliated.
Meanwhile, after a prolonged battle between Half-Tiger Man and Yamada Koji, despite being highly skilled with formidable inner strength, the former found himself helpless against the invulnerable and untouchable attacks from Yamada Koji. Exhausted and running low on energy, just then did Yamada Koji launch his offensive. With both blades drawn, he struck at Half-Tiger Man. The latter managed to evade several strikes using his last reserves of strength; however, the relentless assault from Yamada Koji, with its continuous barrage of blade strikes, overwhelmed him. Eventually, after several exchanges where all of his claws were severed by Yamada Koji's relentless attacks, the exhausted beastman could no longer evade death's grasp. A terrible scream erupted as Yamada Koji cleaved him in two with a single stroke. Thus perished an elite of the half-orc race at the hands of Sun Simiao's ultimate killing weapon—a death that undoubtedly tarnished their reputation.
Witnessing his beloved subordinate’s tragic demise ignited a furious rage within Half-Dragon. He simultaneously channeled energy in both hands—one strike aimed at Mengzi, another at Yamada Koji. Upon seeing this, Mengzi quickly initiated a technique to deflect the incoming energy. In contrast, without any movement or defense whatsoever, Yamada Koji allowed himself to be struck by half-dragon's palm energy and was sent flying out of the Poetry Sect for several miles. Observing that one of his prized creations had been knocked away from the scene, Sun Simiao hurriedly rushed out in pursuit of Yamada Koji ’s direction. At this moment, Half-Dragon ordered a retreat. Upon receiving this command, Half-Beast Army swiftly evacuated from the area. Half Lion Man turned to Dreamy Beauty and said: “My lady, we will have another chance to meet again; this lion will miss you dearly.” With that said, Half Lion Man feigned several moves before making his escape. Duanmu Chong dispersed those entangled with Surveillance Motive with a single palm strike before leading them away from danger. Black Design Society ’s Killer Yu Rang had already completed his mission by killing Eastern Proud Dragon and left long before.
Seeing that Half-Beast Army had retreated while he himself had been injured by Yi Zhangzhi , Mengzi reluctantly chose not to pursue them further. “Everyone enter Poetry Sect and see if there are any survivors,” he instructed as they ventured inside for investigation. At the entrance of an internal confinement room, Yi Junsheng and Reverse Head heard sounds of gasping breaths; they kicked open the door only to find Li Taibai hanging up Du Fu and whipping him mercilessly. Immediately attacking Li Taibai after witnessing this scene led to several rounds of combat before Li Taibai found himself overpowered by their combined efforts; ultimately subdued by Reverse Head and others. With Du Fu rescued successfully, Yi Junsheng asked: “What is going on here?”
