The match with the fewest techniques used in the first round belonged to Xian Haixing against Jianghu Hero Dull Blade of the Wandering Sword. This match turned out to be the biggest upset of this round.
The most crucial battle of the first round was between Yamada Koji, who went by Li Xin, and Tangmen Young Master Tang Bo Hu, who was immune to all poisons. Yamada Koji's determination to marry Murong Yaoxian was unwavering; even if faced with an endless Summit ahead of him, he was determined to climb over it. Yamada Koji aimed at those obstructing his path but could not use ninjutsu to avoid revealing his identity. In contrast, Tang Bo Hu appeared calm and confident in victory. After several rounds of fierce combat where Yamada Koji could only use ordinary techniques and Tang Bo Hu's strengths did not lie in blades or swords either, they fought to a standstill. At this moment, Tang Bo Hu unleashed Tangmen's unique poison technique Laughing Step into Madness towards Yamada Koji. To avoid being poisoned, Yamada Koji reluctantly used Earth Escape Technique. However, beneath the Arena several members of the Martial Arts Community were caught in collateral damage and were poisoned by Laughing Step into Madness, their lives hanging by a thread.
