The Dazzling New Star of the Heroes of the Martial World
The atmosphere in Moonlit Forest Manor was tense and oppressive. The Black Clan Evil Ones and the Martial Arts Community faced each other coldly, with war imminent. Dugu Yijian spoke angrily, saying, "Tonight, this place will be your grave, evil ones." With that, Dugu Yijian was the first to draw his sword and attack the evil beings. Dugu Yijian fought alone against Black Witch Evil Shadow, and they exchanged blows for dozens of rounds. At this moment, Dugu Yijian unleashed his ultimate move, channeling a massive sword energy toward Black Witch Evil Shadow. In response, Black Witch Evil Shadow also summoned her dark powers to their peak and gracefully countered. Their ultimate techniques clashed, destroying everything around them. Dugu Yijian spat blood; his sword had left his hand, marking his defeat.
With Dugu Yijian's defeat, many from the Martial Arts Community were also killed, and Cold Cold Shangs lost an arm to Black Witch Evil Shadow. Just as victory seemed to tilt toward the Black Tribe, Ugly Hour Hall Master Uncut Li from Purple Twelve Hours arrived on the scene with his troops. Uncut Li declared, "Black Clan Evil Ones, tonight is your doomsday; everyone attack."
With a command given, both sides clashed fiercely, the battle becoming increasingly tragic as the skies darkened. Uncut Li faced off against Black Witch Evil Shadow and loudly unleashed a powerful energy from a light sphere—this was his ultimate technique, Time Spear. Not to be outdone, Black Witch Evil Shadow used her divine skill, Shadowy Mirage, to defend herself. The two were evenly matched until Black Witch Evil Shadow activated her dark power to unleash Evil Shadow Split against Uncut Li. Seeing this, Uncut Li activated Time Shield to defend himself but could only block one shadow; another struck the light sphere, causing it to explode and revealing Uncut Li's true form.
Amidst their fierce battle, the sound of a Pipa being played suddenly disrupted everyone's focus. Even the highly skilled Uncut Li and Black Witch Evil Shadow were affected. The sound of the Pipa grew closer until everyone saw a young man playing it while carrying a lute on his back approach slowly. The young man spoke: "I am Qin Se Pi Pa; let us go to the underworld together." He then played a loud note on the Pipa, causing soldiers from Purple Twelve Hours and the Black Clan Evil Ones to shatter into pieces. Black Witch Evil Moon and Uncut Li tried to resist but were ultimately overpowered; both bled from their seven orifices and perished. After one song ended, tranquility returned to the forest manor once more—except for the countless corpses strewn about.
At the Black Clan Headquarters that night, an unusual atmosphere prevailed. A masked figure quietly arrived and after searching around found a Golden Box; the Masked Man quickly snatched it into his arms and prepared to leave. At that moment, patrolling guards noticed an intruder and sounded the alarm; many evil beings rushed to surround the headquarters. Seeing this, the Masked Man took action first and struck at an evil member at the entrance with a powerful palm strike; the force sent the evil being flying dozens of feet away as he leaped out of the headquarters.
Outside the headquarters stood a towering figure before the Masked Man—it was Black Lord of the Abyss, Yan Yinsuo. The Warden said: "You dare covet our clan's secret treasure? Hand over the treasure and you may leave with your life."
The Masked Man replied: "You want the treasure? Let’s see what you can do."
The Warden responded: "Stubborn fool; you will die without regret."
With that, Infernal Sovereign Yan Yin Si unleashed his dark technique Universal Strike against the Masked Man. The Masked Man channeled his inner energy and executed Waves of Turmoil to raise a wall of air for defense; surrounding objects were destroyed by their immense force as both retreated several steps. The Warden continued with Universal Destruction in his palm; in an instant, chaos ensued as mountains crumbled and earth shook; his powerful energy aimed directly at the Masked Man. Ignoring the danger of revealing his identity, the Masked Man unleashed his ultimate technique Hidden—Slay No One. As this move was executed, reality itself seemed to reverse as day turned into night. Their ultimate techniques collided, leveling everything within dozens of feet—including even the Black Clan Headquarters itself. Infernal Sovereign Yan Yin Si was pushed back several steps and spat blood; likewise, the Masked Man staggered back slightly with trembling hands. At that moment, he vanished into thin air.
Facing the ruins left behind by Infernal Sovereign Yan Yin Si's fury exclaimed: "Damn it! He escaped! But this person's identity is becoming clearer."
On the road ahead, retreating steps; the scenery behind, the objects in front. Reverse Head arrived at the Snow Sea Human Bone Bridge. The cold was biting, and the Skeleton on the bridge slowly approached Reverse Head. Reverse Head concentrated his energy and struck at the Skeleton, instantly scattering it; however, the scattered Skeleton quickly reassembled and continued moving towards Reverse Head. Reverse Head sighed and said, "This is troublesome."
For the first time, Reverse Head revealed his ultimate skill. He raised a finger and recited an incantation: "Hiding Technique, conceal my form; dispel the magical barrier, let light shine." As the incantation was spoken, Reverse Head traversed among the Skeletons without obstruction. The Skeleton's attacks on Reverse Head were ineffective, as if bones were passing through air. The invisible Reverse Head reached the center of the Human Bone Bridge when suddenly a chill froze him in place. From a distance, it appeared as if there was an ice figure in the center of the bridge, a magnificent sight.
Reverse Head quickly devised a plan and used Soul Transfer to place his soul within one of the Skeletons, commanding it to cross the bridge in search of Bone Flower. Moments later, the Skeleton returned holding an exquisite flower. Just after the Skeleton crossed the bridge, Reverse Head's soul returned to him, dispelling the ice and leaping away with the flower.
As soon as Reverse Head left, a beam of light shone from beneath the Human Bone Bridge; followed by a voice saying, "An extraordinary monster."
In the morning, as the thick fog dissipated, Broadcast Tower became lively again. Saipan An Yi Junsheng, Blade One, and others from the Martial Arts Community were present. Yi Junsheng said, "According to my investigations; last night there was a great battle at Lin Village, and all participants perished; corpses littered the ground and blood flowed like rivers, making it unbearable to look at."
Blade One asked, "Why did this happen? Even in a chaotic battle among many factions, there should be some survivors; yet there are no living witnesses at the scene. What exactly happened?"
Yi Junsheng waved his feather fan and replied, "Last night I heard music played on a Pipa from ten miles away from Lin Village; it was very piercing to the ears. I believe that the tragic deaths of all parties involved in the Lin Village battle are definitely related to this Pipa music."
Blade One said, "With Dugu Yijian and Cold Cold Shangs among those who perished in the Martial Arts Community, I believe that Divine Martial Gate and Canglong Cave will not let this go easily; those responsible for the killings will not have good outcomes."
Yi Junsheng responded, "Right now we don't even know who the murderer is; how can we talk about punishment? Even if we knew who it was, if Divine Martial Gate and Canglong Cave sought out the murderer, we wouldn't know who would end up killing whom."
