He could accept the judgment of the law, but he would not let himself die clearly, just like his birth, which had been carelessly altered by others. He quickly analyzed the purpose of the kidnapping; without showing any emotion, he glanced at the guns tightly held in their hands. "Is this your first time in Hai City?"
The two people beside him did not respond to Mong Si.
"It seems so. You don't know that Hua Guo does not allow private gun ownership?"
"We are Interpol; the laws of Hua Guo do not apply to us."
"Your act isn't very convincing. So, who is your boss?" After saying this, Mong Si smiled and added, "Even if you don't tell me, I can guess."
The guns they held were the latest models, expensive and high-end; there were only a few people who could afford such a hefty price. Among these two, one had a cooperative relationship with the former island owner and was fond of the Island Master's Daughter. During his collaboration with the former island owner, he had bought many rare items for the Island Master's Daughter.
Although this man was wealthy, he was quite unattractive. The Island Master's Daughter was willful and spoiled but had high standards of beauty. She never even glanced at him and openly called him a toad to his face. He merely smiled and never got angry with her; instead, he continued to flatter her, bringing her all sorts of good things.
People on the island joked that all the money he earned from the island owner was spent on the Island Master's Daughter. Despite his heartfelt kindness towards her, she never showed him any kindness in return. Later, when Mong Si seized power and the Island Master's Daughter went mad, that man once wanted to take her away from the island.
Mong Si did not stop him; it was the Island Master's Daughter who was unwilling to leave and clawed at him instead. Mong Si instructed someone to give her a sedative, but that man stopped it, saying he did not want to force her.
The Island Master's Daughter had been going crazy on the island, bullied by others and without anyone to care for her; she became emaciated. During Mong Si's time away from the island, she drowned after falling into the sea. When she was retrieved, most of her body had already been eaten by sharks.
When Mong Si learned of this, he felt nothing. All her previous humiliations towards him faded away after her death. However, that man who had deep feelings for the Island Master's Daughter did not think so; he was also quite shrewd. After the island owner's death, he did not sever ties with Mong Si in their dealings and never showed dissatisfaction during their transactions.
Mong Si remained wary of him; while doing business together, he kept his guard up. He had leverage over that man, and that man had leverage over him as well; neither would easily harm the other. They coexisted peacefully for many years until perhaps the death of the Island Master's Daughter disrupted their balance, especially since Mong Si was not in his own territory, giving that man an opportunity to exploit.
Mong Si had witnessed the ruthlessness of that person. If he didn't find a way to save himself, falling into that person's hands would lead to a fate far worse than that of Island Master's Daughter.
"You don't need to trick us; we won't be fooled."
"Hah! I've already fallen into your hands. Even if you tell me your identities, what can I do to you?" Mong Si appeared calm on the surface. "Just what you said a moment ago has already exposed your identities."
His words made the expressions of those in the vehicle darken. The young man beside him said, "If you say one more word, I'll knock you out."
"Knock me out?" A hint of mockery crossed Mong Si's eyes. "Did you come here on a private plane? If not, you'll need to take other transportation to leave Hua Guo with me. If you knock me out, there will be security personnel when you switch modes of transport. How will you explain that? Don't tell me you're Interpol on official duty; do you think the people of Hua Guo are that easy to fool? They will quickly discover you're impostors. You drew your guns in the hospital, violating Hua Guo's laws, and the police will soon surround you."
There was an element of intimidation in Mong Si's words. He could sense their hostility, which he only noticed upon close contact.
Zhu Junjie likely didn't know these people were impostors; if they did, they wouldn't have refrained from calling the police. If they didn't call the police...
Mong Si looked down at his injured leg. It was serious, and escaping wouldn't be easy.
He needed to think of a way to make the car stop and then seek help.
Perhaps because these people were armed and Mong Si was injured, they hadn't taken him seriously enough to bind his hands and feet. He reached into his pocket but found his phone was not with him.
He suddenly remembered that his phone had been left on the boat when he went to rescue Tong Tong.
He had been in a daze these past few days, not checking his phone or thinking about it at all.
Now that he couldn't find his phone, Mong Si felt as if his life was slipping away.
He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and tried hard to think of a good escape plan.
After contemplating for a while, he found no feasible options.
If he died, how many people in this world would remember him and mourn for him?
The Zhu Family flashed through his mind.
Mong Si's expression turned cold.
Whether they would or wouldn't care had nothing to do with him!
In this world, he came alone and would leave alone; he didn't need anyone's pity or concern.
The car sped along, preparing to turn at an intersection when a siren echoed from a distance.
Mong Si suddenly opened his eyes, a smirk playing on his lips. His body, which had just settled, was restrained by two people beside him. "Behave yourself. If you move again, I'll blow your head off!"
"Do you have the right to touch me?" Mong Si replied mockingly. "I guess the reason you were hired to take me away is to bring me alive before him."
"Don't think you know everything."
"I know who kidnapped me. I can analyze the reasons behind my abduction and predict his reaction upon seeing me." That person hated him for ruining the girl he liked! That person would love nothing more than to torture him; how could he let him die easily? He would be mercilessly tormented, and he could already smell the scent of blood.
"Why are you talking so much?"
The person next to Mong Si grew irritated upon hearing the siren and urged the driver, "Go faster! Hurry to the place we visited earlier and switch cars."
If what Mong Si said was true and the Hai City police discovered they were impostors, then if those officers surrounded them, this car would become a moving target. Cameras were everywhere, exposing them completely under the watchful eyes of the Hai City police; they had nowhere to hide.
They had weapons on hand, but their opponents were numerous and better armed. If they engaged in a fight, they would suffer injuries, and the worst-case scenario would be getting captured by their adversaries.
