"Wife?" Master Zhang looked at the students, unsure which one could be called his "wife."
Yan Yulong was about to walk past him when he was blocked.
"Wait a minute, you can't wear shoes inside the Dojo," Master Zhang said sternly.
"Why not? Why don't you prepare some slippers for me first?" Yan Yulong replied provocatively.
"You..." Master Zhang was about to lose his temper when Master Tan and Xia Xihe noticed their situation. Xia Xihe was the first to call out:
" Mr.Yan?"
"Oh." Yan Yulong raised his hand to greet him, and Master Zhang looked at Xia Xihe, stunned. The other students also stopped what they were doing, curiously watching them.
Xia Xihe quickly walked over, surprised and anxious, and asked, "What are you doing here?"
"I went to your house to find you. Your mom said you went to practice Taekwondo, so I came looking for you," Yan Yulong said with a squint and a smile. Xia Xihe lowered his voice and shyly said:
"Why... why did you come to find me?"
"The weather is nice today; let's go on a date," Yan Yulong announced happily, not caring if others heard. Xia Xihe looked troubled and said:
"But I need to practice Taekwondo..."
"Why do you have to practice?"
"To strengthen my body and not be bullied..." Xia Xihe recited what his mother had taught him.
"It's not worth the trouble. With me protecting you, no one will dare to bully you," Yan Yulong said, ruffling his soft hair and speaking in a tone meant to comfort a child.
"But... but... but..." Xia Xihe stammered, unsure how to refuse him. He was so nervous that his tongue got tied, finally saying, "But I paid the tuition. If I don't study, my mom will be angry..."
"So what? I'll give you the money back."
"But... but... I want to learn..."
"Such a hassle. What is this Karate? I'll teach you when we get back."
Yan Yulong said casually, grabbing him and preparing to leave. Master Zhang could no longer stand by and watched; he stepped in front of them angrily and shouted, "Hey, kid, wait a minute!"
Yan Yulong looked at him with a defiant glance. "What?"
"Kid, you're quite arrogant, claiming you can teach Karate?"
Master Zhang couldn't tolerate the insult to his sacred martial art and snapped, "Do you think Karate is just some child's play?!"
Master Tan walked over to calm him down. "Xiao Zhang, the young ones don’t know better. Just let it go."
Yan Yulong not only took the hint but also deliberately provoked Master Zhang by saying, "What's so great about something that just involves kicking around?"
"What did you say?!" Master Zhang exploded in fury. "Just kicking around?! Do you have what it takes to take a few kicks from me?!"
Yan Yulong shrugged. "Why not?"
"Alright! Let's have a match!" Master Zhang declared.
Xia Xihe internally shouted for help; Master Zhang was a fifth-degree black belt expert, and Yan Yulong was no match for him.
If anything happened to Yan Yulong, the Underworld Organization would definitely not let Master Zhang off the hook! Perhaps even the martial arts school would be implicated! This was serious.
He pleaded with Yan Yulong, " Mr.Yan, please don’t agree to this. I can just go with you instead..."
"Don’t worry, let’s defeat this guy first, then we can go on a date later," Yan Yulong said confidently, which made Master Zhang furious.
"You brat! Get in the ring! Let’s see how long you can keep talking tough!"
Master Tan worriedly stopped him, "Xiao Zhang, don’t be impulsive. What if someone gets hurt?"
"Old Tan, don’t worry. I’ll know when to stop; I just need to teach this arrogant kid a lesson," Master Zhang said in a deep voice.
"Just be careful... don’t use your full strength," Master Tan repeatedly reminded him.
The apprentices all retreated to the sidelines, leaving an open space in the center. Yan Yulong took off his jacket and shoes, walking barefoot to face his opponent. He wore only a black tight-fitting tank top, and his long arms were muscular; his chest and abs looked impressive as well.
Master Tan admired him inwardly; this young man had an excellent physique and was definitely a good candidate for practicing Taekwondo. He just hoped Xiao Zhang wouldn’t hit too hard...
Xia Xihe brought a helmet and knee pads for Yan Yulong, but Yan Yulong waved his hand, "No need, just give me two bandages."
After receiving the bandages, he wrapped them around the knuckles of his hands, clenched his fists tightly.
Master Zhang saw that he was not wearing a helmet and coldly snorted, "If you get hurt, don't cry."
Yan Yulong gave a cold smile and did not respond.
Xia Xihe stood at the front of the crowd, constantly praying in her heart—please don’t let anything go wrong.
Yan Yulong stood face to face with Master Zhang, with Master Tan acting as the referee. He walked between the two and briefly explained the rules to Yan Yulong:
"First, this student, since you are not practicing Taekwondo, you can use punches, palms, or kicks, but you cannot attack below the opponent's abdomen. You cannot use grabbing, hugging, or pushing actions. Also, when you hear me shout 'stop,' you must separate..."
"You don't need to say so much. Just tell me how to win," Yan Yulong impatiently asked.
"Scoring can be achieved by hitting the abdomen or the sides of the body, or by knocking down your opponent."
"So basically, whoever falls down loses?" Yan Yulong said with a cruel smile on his lips.
"That can also be said..."
"Got it, let's go."
Master Tan issued the command: "All competitors prepare!"
Master Zhang politely bowed to Yan Yulong. The latter raised an eyebrow and nodded slightly. Master Tan waved his hand: "Begin!"
