The sudden scene shocked everyone in the Kaimanwei Family. As they watched the head roll and blood spurt from Ryan, they were left dumbfounded. There was no longer any need for them to mock Ryan.
Qin Xiaoya's breath quickened slightly; it was her first time killing someone. Fortunately, her mindset had long been strong enough to accept it. After a brief moment of panic, she calmed down.
"You dare to kill here, you Hua Xia Woman? You truly deserve to die," one of the Kaimanwei Family members snapped as they regained their composure from the shock, filled with grief and anger.
"Tell your Clan Leader to come out quickly. I can kill one person, or I can kill all of you," Qin Xiaoya said coldly.
"Ha, I never expected Miss Qin to be so domineering. I'm just curious, do you think you have the right to act so recklessly all by yourself?" A voice echoed ominously from within the villa, and then Dawson Caymanwei slowly emerged, standing on the jade steps at the entrance, his gaze sharp as an eagle's fixed on Qin Xiaoya.
"Are you the Clan Leader of the Kaimanwei Family?" Qin Xiaoya asked, narrowing her eyes at Dawson.
"Indeed," Dawson Caymanwei replied readily. As the Clan Leader of the Kaimanwei Family, he showed no change in expression upon seeing Ryan's corpse on the ground; he merely fixed his piercing gaze on Qin Xiaoya.
"If you had come out sooner, Ryan might not have had to die," Qin Xiaoya said lightly.
"He's dead, so what? He was a sinner in our family and deserved to die long ago. I just hesitated to kill him since he was my nephew. Miss Qin, your help has saved me some trouble," Dawson Caymanwei said. Although he did not explicitly blame Qin Xiaoya, his tone was laced with coldness, revealing his insincerity.
Qin Xiaoya couldn't be bothered to speculate about Dawson's words. "I came here to understand why you harmed my friend and what that vile thing inside my friend is."
Dawson Caymanwei snorted coldly, his expression darkening as his voice turned as frigid as a Siberian wind. "Miss Qin, some matters are none of your business. Yet you insist on getting involved and openly questioning me. Who do you think you are? You are not qualified to interrogate me."
"You don't need to know who I am; you just need to answer my questions. If you answer honestly, you might live a few more years. If you stall for time, today will be your last," Qin Xiaoya's tone deepened. She would not show mercy to her enemies. Having followed Jiang Chen for many years, she had gradually adopted his style of dealing with matters. Especially today with Jiang Chen by her side, she needed to display her own dominance.
Dawson Caymanwei's expression changed significantly; Qin Xiaoya was not just arrogant but utterly deranged.
"I've never met such an arrogant woman before, but rest assured, I won't kill you now. Using you as a sacrificial offering would be quite a delicacy," Dawson Caymanwei said with a cold smile while struggling to suppress his anger.
"Another sacrifice? To whom?" Qin Xiaoya's face hardened as she recalled how her childhood friend had been tortured beyond recognition due to a sacrifice; her anger flared up.
"I don't mind telling you. The Kaimanwei Family are followers of the Undead Knight. Our power and luck come from the Undead Knight. You should consider yourself fortunate to be chosen as a sacrificial offering; not everyone gets such an opportunity," Dawson Caymanwei said with evident excitement when mentioning the Undead Knight. It seemed that being a follower of the Undead Knight was the highest honor for their family.
"Undead Knight?" Qin Xiaoya frowned and glanced at Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen remained unfazed; after all, how could such a trivial Undead Knight attract his attention?
"What? Are you scared now?" Seeing Qin Xiaoya's astonished expression, Dawson Caymanwei assumed she feared the Undead Knight and sneered arrogantly.
"When knights were alive, they were nothing to fear; what’s there to be afraid of when they’re dead? I'm quite curious about what this Undead Knight looks like. What can an Undead bring you?" Qin Xiaoya replied with a faint smile.
"It brings us good fortune while leaving nothing but disaster for you. You definitely wouldn't want to know what it looks like because no living person can know its appearance except for the dead," Dawson Caymanwei said ominously.
