Mu Jiangfeng carefully examined her, slowly furrowing his brow. "Why does your face look so terrible? You’ll scare us innocent citizens to death walking down the street!"
"Go to hell! My face is just fine as it is. It's because of my face that the world can have peace! Too many seductresses would only cause trouble, do you understand?" Lan Baobao pulled back her hand and continued to rub her sore nose.
Mu Jiangfeng couldn't help but laugh at her. "Alright, alright, I know I can't compare to you. I bought some things for your two pups and was just about to deliver them when I saw you. Here, take this! Take good care of yourself, got it?"
"Got it." Lan Baobao mumbled as she took the items and quickly walked past him. Mu Jiangfeng watched her retreating figure, his smile gradually fading, replaced by a hint of confusion in his brow.
This woman was always like this; no matter how much was on her mind, she always wore a carefree and self-deprecating expression. Yet, the more she acted this way, the more he couldn't help but worry.
At first, Mu Jiangfeng hired her because of Lan Baobao's innocent gaze, which had a certain resilience that attracted him.
As time went on, he found himself increasingly drawn to Lan Baobao. Even though they had only been together for less than half a year, his concern for her had already surpassed that of a superior for a subordinate.
Lan Baobao usually laughed and joked around, but whenever a hint of sadness or melancholy appeared in her eyes, it would make Mu Jiangfeng's heart ache.
He wanted to get closer to Lan Baobao, but while she appeared indifferent on the surface, there was always an invisible wall separating him from her.
Seeing how she looked just now, it was clear that something was weighing on her mind.

He shook his head lightly and walked away.
Suddenly, he looked up and saw the car speeding away. Mu Jiangfeng frowned, "A Bentley?"
How could the baby be in a Bentley?
Mu Jiangfeng's brow furrowed, feeling as if a heavy stone was pressing down on his heart, almost suffocating him.
Lan Baobao hurriedly picked up the two children from kindergarten, closed the taxi door, and gasped, "Today we are going to Aunt Xiao's place to apologize. You two little rascals better not cause any trouble for me!"
Ruo Ruo looked up at Lan Baobao in confusion and asked in a childish voice, "Mommy, if you're going to apologize, why do we have to go too? And why aren't you carrying any branches?"
Lan Baobao broke out in a cold sweat and turned to her son Mumu with a sweet smile.
Mumu arrogantly opened his mouth, yawned, and leisurely said, "Ruo Ruo, don't you think brother's complexion has been looking bad lately? It seems like he's not getting enough nutrition; his face is a bit pale."
Ruo Ruo blinked her big eyes, her long eyelashes fluttering as she looked at Mumu. In a serious tone, she said, "Yes, Ruo Ruo also thinks brother's complexion is bad. It must be because Mommy used the money for buying food to buy powder instead. But..."
Ruo Ruo stared closely at Lan Baobao's face, took a deep breath, pouted, and said, "Mommy really didn't need to buy powder; it looks the same whether you put it on or not. What a waste!"
Lan Baobao's cheeks twitched. Did every mother have children like this?
Lan Baobao clasped her hands together and made a funny face asking her son for help, but Mumu mischievously said, "Ruo Ruo, what do you think about that seafood buffet?"
