Yang Yuxin looked nothing like someone who was ill; her spirit was even more vibrant than that of everyone present. Just an hour ago, she had appeared unwell, and now she was radiant and full of life—this was simply unbelievable.
Yang Yuxin's parents were initially shocked, then filled with joy. Although they found it hard to comprehend, the fact that their daughter was fine brought them immense relief.
“Qin Xiaoya, thank you so much,” Yang Yuxin's parents expressed with excitement.
“Uncle, Auntie, there’s no need to be polite. Yang Yuxin is my friend; it’s only natural for me to help,” Qin Xiaoya replied with a smile.
However, the atmosphere soon became a bit awkward. Master Hong felt his cheeks flush, while the three High Monks wore puzzled expressions. Yang Yuxin's father, in a good mood, realized it was time to send Master Hong on his way.
“Ahem, Master Hong, my daughter is fine now, and I must thank you as well. As for the agreed compensation, I will have someone transfer it to your account immediately,” Yang Yuxin's father said.
Though Master Hong felt quite frustrated, he wasn’t going to let money stand in the way. He nodded in acknowledgment and then turned his somber gaze toward Jiang Chen. Finally, he spoke up, “How did you do it? Can you share your method with me?”
“You don’t need to know that,” Jiang Chen replied nonchalantly.
“Ha! I suspect you obtained some Elixir from somewhere to achieve such results. You must have spent quite a fortune on that pill; it must be worth billions at least,” Master Hong remarked, looking as if he had figured it out.
Jiang Chen chose not to respond further; he found no reason to engage with Master Hong or his companions. Although Master Hong had some skills, they were far from impressive enough to warrant Jiang Chen's attention. Engaging in conversation with him felt like a waste of time.
Master Hong frowned at Jiang Chen's blatant disregard for him but felt powerless; the current situation spoke for itself—Yang Yuxin’s recovery indicated that he had lost.
“President Yang, since your daughter is fine now, I’ll take my leave,” Master Hong said as he stood up solemnly.
“Master Hong, how about we have dinner together tonight?” Yang Yuxin's father offered politely.
“No need,” Master Hong replied coolly, his face pale as he abruptly stood and turned to leave.
Seeing that the matter was settled, the three High Monks also deemed it unnecessary to stay any longer and rose to bid farewell.
After respectfully seeing off Master Hong and the three High Monks, Yang Yuxin's father returned to the living room, his gratitude toward Jiang Chen evident in his demeanor.
“Mr. Jiang, you saved my daughter. I cannot repay you adequately. As I mentioned earlier, I will do my best to meet any request you have,” Yang Yuxin's father stated earnestly.
“Do you think I helped your daughter? I was merely helping Qin Xiaoya,” Jiang Chen replied.
Yang Yuxin's father felt somewhat embarrassed and glanced at Qin Xiaoya. Jiang Chen’s words brought a sense of satisfaction to Qin Xiaoya; it seemed she held significant weight in his eyes after all.
"Uncle Yang, my Young Master lacks nothing. This time, he came to help Yang Yuxin, not for any wealth. It's good that Yang Yuxin is fine now," Qin Xiaoya said with a smile.
"Well then," Yang Yuxin's Father replied, showing his understanding. Since that was the case, he felt it was inappropriate to say more.
He was indeed curious about Jiang Chen, but seeing the way Jiang Chen smiled without saying much made him hesitant to ask further questions. He didn't even dare to inquire about what unclean thing was inside his daughter.
Fortunately, Qin Xiaoya asked, "Young Master, what exactly is the unclean thing inside Yang Yuxin? I just asked her, and she doesn't even know how she got involved with it."
The Yang Family turned their attention to Jiang Chen.
"It's a little demon that feeds on human Blood Qi. Yes, you can call it a little demon. Unfortunately, your friend doesn't even know how she got entangled with it, so I suppose no one else can know either," Jiang Chen said lightly.
"You don't know either?" Qin Xiaoya asked in surprise.
"Do you really think I know everything?" Jiang Chen chuckled.
Qin Xiaoya smiled shyly; she had indeed thought Jiang Chen knew everything.
"Even deities can't know everything, especially trivial matters that they wouldn't bother to understand," Jiang Chen continued. The situation with Yang Yuxin was indeed a minor issue. In fact, if Jiang Chen wanted to find out about that little demon's origins, he could still investigate it, but he saw no need.
Qin Xiaoya seemed to grasp the meaning behind his words.
"Yang Yuxin, think carefully. Have you been to any unclean places during this time?" Qin Xiaoya asked Yang Yuxin again.
Although Yang Yuxin was fine now, if someone had deliberately harmed her, there was a fear that history might repeat itself. Qin Xiaoya hoped to eliminate the root of the problem; otherwise, if something happened to Yang Yuxin again, she wouldn't dare to continue asking for help from the Young Master.
