To bear witness, Zeng Wenwen knelt three times and bowed nine times before the statue of Grandmaster Wuliang. Then she performed a deep bow to Ling Mingzi, reciting the vow script, while Ling Mingzi conferred upon her a Dao name and presented her with a personal item.
Ling Mingzi bestowed upon Zeng Wenwen the Dao name "Ning Wen," and the personal item was a bracelet engraved with mystical inscriptions.
This bracelet, known as the Obstacle-Eliminating Bracelet, symbolized the removal of all demonic hindrances and was an extraordinary Taoist treasure.
Zeng Wenwen wasn't foolish; she recognized that this Obstacle-Eliminating Bracelet was ancient and elegant, with its inscriptions shimmering brilliantly—definitely a valuable item.
Although she felt somewhat dissatisfied with the Dao name "Ning Wen," she dared not voice her concerns. Being addressed as Daoist Ning Wen—or worse yet, Daoist Nun Ning Wen—didn't sound very impressive. His voice resonated like a bell in Zeng Wenwen's mind.
"I will obey my master's orders," Zeng Wenwen replied promptly, her expression solemn. She began to envision her future; subduing demons was such an alluring task that if it weren't so real, she might have thought she was dreaming.
Ling Mingzi nodded. Seeing Zeng Wenwen like this brought him comfort. Although her talent for cultivation was average, he believed that under his guidance, she would surely achieve something remarkable in the future.
"By the way, Master, where is the owner of this bracelet now? That senior female Daoist?" Zeng Wenwen asked curiously. She had many questions swirling in her mind lately. However, she believed that Ling Mingzi was patient enough to clarify things for his disciple; after all, it was part of a master's duty.
"Ah, if we were to count her, she would be your master's master's uncle. However, I have never met her myself; she has gone to another world. In time, you may encounter her as well; when you do, you should address her as Martial Grand-Uncle," Ling Mingzi explained.
"Oh," Zeng Wenwen nodded obediently without asking further questions. She assumed that when her master spoke of going to another world, he meant that Martial Grand-Uncle had passed away. Naturally, she didn't dare to inquire further but remained unaware that Ling Mingzi meant she had gone to the Mountain and Sea Secret Realm.
Perhaps one day, Zeng Wenwen would indeed meet her Martial Grand-Uncle.
"Master, where will I practice in the future?" Zeng Wenwen asked again. She increasingly realized that being a Daoist wasn't so bad after all.
