Zhu Xiaohong was clearly stunned by Mo Wen's actions, her mouth still agape until he finally let go. It was evident that this disheveled man seemed unaware of the boundaries between men and women.
"Not enough? Here, have two more. This is the last of them," Mo Wen said, watching as Zhu Xiaohong's mouth hung open while he popped the final two pills into her mouth.
"Ah! I want to kill you!" It was only after the pills went down her throat that Zhu Xiaohong snapped out of her shock. Looking at Mo Wen's greasy hands, she felt an itch on both her face and throat. However, Mo Wen paid no attention to her outburst; his focus had shifted to two boats on the surface of the sea.
"Boss, someone is coming," Xiao Hei noted, having spotted the two vessels as well.
"Good," Mo Wen replied, gazing into the distance. The boats were not yet in view, but they were clearly heading in their direction. Noticing the unusual behavior of both Zhu Xiaohong and Xiao Hei, Zhu Xiaohong ceased her angry shouts, though she had not noticed the approaching boats. Mo Wen was not surprised that they had been detected; anyone entering the Lava Sea was equipped in a peculiar manner, and he had already made some discoveries in his storage bag. Additionally, Zhu Xiaohong's earlier screams could be heard far in this nearly enclosed underground space.
Realizing that the other party was approaching their direction, Mo Wen simply sat down and began grilling skewers with Xiao Hei. This left Zhu Xiaohong puzzled about what this man intended to do. Although her meridians were sealed, her senses remained intact. She scanned the direction Mo Wen had been looking at but found nothing unusual. For half an hour, Mo Wen and Xiao Hei remained silent, focused solely on eating while Zhu Xiaohong continued to probe.
"Miss Zhu, have you found anything?" Mo Wen turned to look at her.
"Your death is imminent!" Looking at his disheveled face and recalling previous events brought back the nausea she had tried to suppress.
"Tsk tsk! At least I’m your savior; shouldn’t you show some gratitude? Besides, if I die, you probably won’t fare any better," he replied. There were six people on the two boats, three of whom were in the Ning Shen Realm. They showed no intention of hiding their presence, making them easy to detect.
"Hmph!" Hearing Mo Wen's words, Zhu Xiaohong snorted coldly and turned her head away. If Mo Wen didn't release her, she wouldn't even be able to escape. She was merely venting her frustration; her hope of finding the Fire Lotus still rested with this man. Moreover, based on what Mo Wen had said earlier, it was clear he still possessed something related to it. Yet she remained baffled about what this man truly wanted.
As they spoke, the two boats had already approached them while Mo Wen and Xiao Hei continued eating without a care.
"Kid, hand over your storage bag, and I'll leave your corpse intact," one of the newcomers shouted as each boat left one person behind while four jumped ashore to confront the pair still eating.
"Oh? May I ask what brings you here?" Mo Wen stood up, his speech uninterrupted as he chewed.
"Of course we’re here to rob you; that's how we make a living. You adventurers call us Lava Sea bandits," said the bald leader before one of his companions chimed in eagerly.
"Boss! A woman!" The small man shouted excitedly as his eyes fixated on Zhu Xiaohong as if he were entranced. At his exclamation, the other three turned their gaze toward Zhu Xiaohong, who was bound tightly like a dumpling. Feeling their stares upon her, she couldn't help but shiver.
