Su Mu and the Xuanming Sect Leader dashed through the valley like two bolts of lightning, the former relentlessly pursuing while the latter exerted every effort to escape.
The Xuanming Sect Leader relied on years of experience in this area, skillfully weaving left and right, constantly changing direction in an attempt to shake off the tenacious Su Mu.

Upon hearing this, the Xuanming Sect Leader felt a mix of shock and anger. He knew that if he fell into Su Mu's hands, death would be his only fate.
Fear and the instinct to survive intertwined within him, driving him to run without a moment's pause.
At that moment, they were drawing closer to the exit of the valley...
In the distance, the Xuanming Sect Leader spotted an expansive forest ahead, a vast green sea unfolding before his eyes.
In an instant, a spark of hope ignited in his otherwise gloomy heart, blazing with intensity.
Without hesitation, he quickened his pace and darted into the mysterious and deep woods with all his might.
Once inside the forest, he found the trees extraordinarily dense; branches intertwined above him while sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows that made the entire forest seem dreamlike.
Moreover, the terrain was complex and uneven, filled with rocks and thorns that created an elusive atmosphere.
Yet for the Xuanming Sect Leader, this was an ideal hiding place.
Drawing upon years of experience and intimate knowledge of the terrain, he zigzagged through the woods—sometimes weaving through thick underbrush, sometimes racing along winding paths, and at times leaping onto high branches in an attempt to evade the relentless pursuit of Su Mu.
However, what the Xuanming Sect Leader never expected was that Su Mu's perception ability was so sharp!

Before his words fell, he suddenly thrust his right hand into his robe and swiftly pulled out a pitch-black pill that emitted an eerie glow. Without hesitation, he shoved it into his mouth and swallowed it in one gulp.
Seeing this, Su Mu's heart sank heavily; he realized something was wrong.
He knew that the pill was certainly not an ordinary item, and if the Xuanming Sect Leader consumed it, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Thus, he shifted his body and shot forward like an arrow released from its bow in an attempt to stop him.
However, it was still a step too late.
At the moment the Xuanming Sect Leader swallowed the mysterious pill, a powerful force erupted, sending a shiver down the spine.
His once slightly gaunt body swelled rapidly as if inflated, muscles bulging like hardened rock, veins protruding ominously, as if they might burst at any moment.
His eyes transformed into a blood-red hue in the blink of an eye, radiating a chilling ferocity that made him appear like a feral beast devoid of reason.
"Ah..." Accompanied by a heart-wrenching scream of pain, the Xuanming Sect Leader's voice became hoarse and deep, infused with an endless rage that made the air around him tremble slightly.
Beside him, Su Mu stood in shock, his face filled with disbelief as he gazed at the Xuanming Sect Leader, who seemed like a demon descended from hell. Confusion and fear swirled within him: "What on earth is this? How can it possess such terrifying power?"
"Hahahahaha..." The Xuanming Sect Leader let out a bone-chilling cackle, holding a black pill that emitted an eerie glow. With pride, he declared, "This is our Xuanming Sect's secret elixir passed down for thousands of years! It has the miraculous ability to unleash hidden energy within the human body. Once consumed, one can gain unimaginable strength in an instant!" As he spoke, his twisted and menacing face appeared even more horrifying.
However, he quickly shifted his tone to a sinister one: "But, this pill may have miraculous effects; its side effects are equally terrifying! Once its effect wears off, the user’s meridians will be completely severed, leaving them as nothing but a total cripple! Hehehe..." He chuckled maliciously while casting a predatory gaze at Su Mu.
Hearing this, Su Mu's face turned pale with anger, his eyes wide as he pointed an accusing finger at the Xuanming Sect Leader and shouted, "You are nothing but a heartless, insane madman! To pursue so-called power at the cost of your own life!"
"Hmph! Stop pretending to be virtuous!" The Xuanming Sect Leader scoffed disdainfully, glaring at Su Mu as he roared, "As long as I can eliminate you, this detestable pest, I will not hesitate to pay any painful price! Today shall be your last!" With that declaration, he suddenly let out a fierce roar and shot toward Su Mu like lightning.
In an instant, the Xuanming Sect Leader's speed and strength had increased several times over; he resembled a raging beast in human form, exuding an overwhelming aura of destruction that seemed ready to devour everything in its path.
Faced with this onslaught of fury, Su Mu dared not let his guard down for even a moment. Taking a deep breath, he quickly summoned his inner energy and prepared himself for this life-and-death battle.
With a thunderous crash, the two collided instantly; fists blurred together in rapid succession while feet howled through the air and palm strikes reverberated. They exchanged blows fiercely, neither willing to yield.
The immense force generated by their battle seemed to tear apart the surrounding air; dust and debris flew everywhere as chaos reigned—darkening the sky and obscuring light itself.
Though the Xuanming Sect Leader had gained tremendous power, he had lost his reason and could only attack instinctively.
With a calm mind and exquisite martial skills, Su Mu continuously sought the flaws in the Xuanming Sect Leader's defense.
After an intense battle, Su Mu finally found an opportunity.
He seized a gap in the Xuanming Sect Leader's stance and struck him squarely in the chest.
"Poof..." The Xuanming Sect Leader spat out a mouthful of blood, his body swaying for a moment before collapsing to the ground.
"You... you..." The Xuanming Sect Leader pointed a trembling finger at Ye Qiu, trying to say something, but no words came out. In the end, he took his last breath.
Su Mu slowly walked over to the Xuanming Sect Leader's lifeless body and sighed.
He understood that although the leader of the Xuanming Sect was dead, the influence of the sect still lingered.
