At that moment, a faint sound of footsteps reached their ears—so subtle it was almost imperceptible. "Someone's here!" Ye Qiu's heart raced as he whispered a warning to Su Mu.
Without hesitation, they quickly darted into a nearby shadowy corner, covering their mouths and noses tightly, holding their breath as they intently observed the movements ahead.
Before long, several dark figures approached like ghosts from the distance.
In the dim light of the moon, they could make out that these individuals were clad entirely in black stealth gear, each gripping various gleaming weapons. Every face bore an expression of heightened alertness.
"It seems we've truly found the right place this time," Ye Qiu whispered again, his gaze never leaving the approaching figures. "From their attire and demeanor, it's highly likely that they are members of the Black Snake organization we've been tracking for so long."
After a brief exchange, they nodded in agreement, deciding to hold their positions for now and continue stealthily following these mysterious individuals to uncover what clandestine activities they were plotting here.
