Su Mu walked alongside the man in black, heading northward.
Throughout their journey, they braved the elements, enduring several days of hardship before finally reaching the legendary Ice and Snow Abyss.
As they came to a halt and gazed into the distance, all they could see was a vast expanse of white.
The fierce wind whipped through the blizzard, roaring like an enraged dragon as it swept in, obscuring the sky and making it nearly impossible to open their eyes.
The biting cold felt like countless sharp knives slicing through the air, bringing waves of pain as it howled past their ears.
On the ground lay a thick layer of snow, resembling a pristine white blanket that tightly enveloped the earth, devoid of any hint of green life; only the endless white stretched out to the horizon.
"This is the Ice and Snow Abyss," the man in black broke the silence, his voice wavering slightly amidst the wind. "Di Ling Zhi grows beneath this ice and snow."
Su Mu stared at the desolate snowy landscape before him, an involuntary sense of dread rising within him.
The environment here was truly harsh; even with the immense power granted by the Heavenly Secret Pearl, the biting chill continued to erode his body, causing him to shiver uncontrollably.
"We must not delay; let’s move on," the man in black said as he turned to Su Mu, his gaze resolute. "Di Ling Zhi resides deep within the Ice and Snow Abyss; if we wish to find it, we must venture further."
With that, they took a deep breath and cautiously stepped forward into this mysterious and perilous Ice and Snow Abyss.
As soon as they set foot on the ground, the thick snow instantly engulfed them up to their knees; every step forward required immense effort.
Meanwhile, the piercing cold wind ruthlessly lashed against their cheeks, stinging like a blade cutting through flesh.
"Be careful!" The sudden shout made Su Mu's heart race, and he instinctively halted his steps.
Almost simultaneously, a loud whoosh echoed as an enormous Snow Wolf shot out from the snow, charging toward them with a terrifying momentum.
The Snow Wolf was exceptionally large, its body covered in thick, pure white fur that shimmered with a dazzling silver under the sunlight.
Its eyes were wide open, filled with a fierce glint, resembling two blazing flames; its massive jaws gaped wide, revealing sharp fangs that looked like cold, menacing blades, sending chills down one’s spine.
As its earth-shattering roar echoed through the valley, it felt as though the entire landscape trembled in response.
Faced with such a ferocious foe, Su Mu and the man in black beside him dared not show any signs of hesitation. They quickly reacted, taking up defensive stances.
The man in black suddenly swung his right hand, drawing the long sword from his waist.
In an instant, the blade gleamed with a chilling light, and an unmatched sword aura spread out rapidly, stirring the air around them as if it were being whipped by this powerful force.
At the same time, Su Mu did not hold back either; he tightly grasped the mysterious Heavenly Secret Pearl in his hand.
The Heavenly Secret Pearl radiated a warm and gentle glow, resembling a small sun that formed a solid protective barrier around Su Mu.

A fierce battle unfolded between man and wolf on the pristine white snow.

As his deep and urgent chant echoed in the air, the Heavenly Secret Pearl began to emit an incredibly dazzling light.
The radiance was as intense as that of the sun, illuminating the entire dark and cold Ice and Snow Abyss in an instant. The once eerie Cold Abyss now shone brightly as if it were daylight.
The Snow Wolf, fiercely charging toward them, clearly did not anticipate such a turn of events. Its emerald green eyes were sharply stimulated by this sudden burst of light, causing it to pause involuntarily. The previously fierce assault came to a halt as well.
However, Su Mu would not let this fleeting opportunity slip away!

A piercing howl of agony erupted from the Snow Wolf, echoing through the sky, deafening and seemingly capable of breaking free from the confines of the icy wilderness.
Stimulated by the intense light, the Snow Wolf squeezed its eyes shut, unable to open them. It wildly flailed its sharp claws, trying to find a target to attack, but to no avail.
The man in black, who had been waiting for this perfect opportunity, would not miss his chance. A cold glint flashed in his eyes as he tensed his arm muscles and gripped his sword tightly. In a swift motion, he struck down towards the Snow Wolf's neck.
With a muffled "thud," the sword easily sliced through the thick white fur of the Snow Wolf, plunging deep into its neck.
Immediately, a fountain of crimson blood gushed from the wound, splattering everywhere and filling the air with a strong, acrid scent of blood.
The severely injured Snow Wolf could no longer support its massive body. After swaying a few times, it finally collapsed to the ground with a thud, sending up a flurry of snowflakes.
As its life faded away, the desperate and unwilling howl gradually disappeared into the biting cold wind.
Seeing that the Snow Wolf had fallen completely still, Su Mu and the man in black finally let out a long sigh of relief; their hearts that had been in their throats finally settled back down. After an intense and perilous battle, this life-and-death struggle had finally come to an end.
