Lin Yu rubbed her temples, feeling overwhelmed. Recently, things had been happening one after another, with no sign of a break.

“Host, based on my analysis, Jiang Chen’s actions may have three purposes: first, to test your reaction and see if you’ve made any moves recently; second, to divert your attention and lower your guard so he can scheme in the shadows; third, he might genuinely care about you,” Inverse Light replied seriously, sounding like a relationship expert.
Lin Yu rolled her eyes. “The third option can be dismissed outright. It feels like he’d rather I disappear sooner so he can inherit my Ant Flower Credit!”
“That may not be the case, Host. Love is unpredictable. Perhaps he’s been captivated by your intelligence and has fallen at your feet, ready to turn over a new leaf!” Inverse Light said with an ambiguous tone, sounding quite gossipy and a bit too excited about the drama.
“Don’t be ridiculous! My relationship with him is colder than ice and hotter than fire—there’s simply no way!” Lin Yu declared firmly. She didn’t believe for a second that the smiling tiger Jiang Chen would fall for her.
Lin Yu scoffed. “You useless system! All day long you’re just pondering nonsense instead of doing something useful. If you really have that much free time, why don’t you help me find out if there are any traitors in the company? I’ve been feeling something’s off lately.”
“Host, you’re wronging me! I’ve been diligently serving you all along. As for traitors, I’ve already investigated that. There are indeed a few individuals in the company whose behavior is quite suspicious,” Inverse Light's voice suddenly turned serious.
“Is that true? Tell me more!” Lin Yu perked up at once. She knew that while Inverse Light might not be reliable most of the time, it could still come through when it mattered.
“According to my investigation, several employees have had unusual financial transactions in their accounts recently, and they have all had access to the company’s core secrets,” Inverse Light explained.
“What else?” Lin Yu pressed for more information.
"They also had frequent interactions with a mysterious account, and the IP address of this account turned out to be linked to Jiang Chen's company!" Inverse Light made a shocking revelation.
"What? It's actually Jiang Chen!" Lin Yu exclaimed, nearly jumping out of her chair. "I knew that guy had bad intentions!"
At that moment, Lin Yu's computer suddenly chimed with a notification for a new email.
She clicked it open to find an anonymous message containing just a few words: "Beware of the mole." The font was clearly altered, making it impossible to discern its original form, and the sender's address was a string of garbled characters, resembling a jumble of alien script.
A chill ran down Lin Yu's spine as an ominous premonition washed over her. It felt like eating an ice pop on a scorching summer day—refreshingly cold yet unsettling.
A mole?
Could it be that there really was a spy for Jiang Chen within the company? And not just one?
She immediately accessed the company's internal system to investigate recent data anomalies.
What she discovered left her in shock! The core data of several important projects had signs of being leaked! This data was the lifeblood of the company; how could it just be leaked so casually?
Moreover, the timing of the leaks coincided perfectly with when Jiang Chen began to suppress her company! This timing was too coincidental; it felt almost orchestrated.
"Jiang Chen, you sly bastard!" Lin Yu seethed, her teeth clenched in anger. She wanted nothing more than to storm up to Jiang Chen and punch him hard. Now she understood why the company's projects had been plagued with issues lately—someone was sabotaging them from behind!
"Host, it seems there truly is a mole in your company, and it's highly likely that it's a corporate spy planted by Jiang Chen," Inverse Light reminded her at just the right moment, its tone laced with concern, as if sensing the calm before a storm.
"I must root out this traitor!" Lin Yu clenched her fists, determination shining in her eyes. This traitor was like a ticking time bomb, ready to blow her company to smithereens at any moment.
She began a thorough investigation of the company's personnel, especially those who had access to core data. She scrutinized everyone's files, digging so deep that she almost uncovered their ancestors' entire lineage.
After an exhaustive search, she finally pinpointed her target: a new financial assistant. This assistant had a remarkably low profile, practically blending in with the air around them.
The assistant had always appeared very unassuming and performed exceptionally well at work, which is why Lin Yu had never paid much attention. The seemingly honest assistant turned out to be a hidden boss!
However, Lin Yu discovered through the system that this financial assistant had previously worked for Jiang Chen's company and maintained close ties with several of Jiang Chen's confidants. The connections were more tangled than a spider's web.
"Ha, it truly is a case of finding something after searching high and low!" Lin Yu sneered, deciding to use cunning tactics to draw the snake out of its hole. This assistant had been hiding well, but she managed to flush them out.
She deliberately leaked some false information and quietly observed the assistant's reaction. These false leads were like bait, designed specifically to catch a big fish.
As expected, the financial assistant quickly took the bait, secretly relaying the false information to Jiang Chen. The speed was faster than express delivery.
Once Lin Yu gathered solid evidence, she immediately called the police to have the financial assistant apprehended. The entire process was seamless; it could have been made into a movie.
"Hello, officer? I've discovered a corporate spy here; please come and arrest them!" Lin Yu dialed 110, her voice filled with a sense of justice.
The police were efficient; it wasn't long before the financial assistant was taken away. Before leaving, they glanced back at Lin Yu with eyes that seemed to promise revenge.
Meanwhile, she called Jiang Chen, her tone icy: "Jiang Chen, why did you do this?" She was eager to see what he would say this time.
"Lin Yu, what you know is just the tip of the iceberg," Jiang Chen's voice revealed no emotional fluctuation but was laced with danger. His calm demeanor sent chills down her spine.
"What exactly do you want?" Lin Yu was filled with confusion and unease. She felt like an ant on a hot stove, anxiously scurrying around.
"I want you to understand that opposing me will lead to a dire outcome," Jiang Chen's tone suddenly turned sharp, like a razor-sharp blade piercing Lin Yu's heart. His voice became menacing, as if he intended to tear her apart.
"You..." Lin Yu was so enraged that she couldn't find her words. She never expected Jiang Chen to be so despicable and shameless. She had thought that no matter how bad he was, he couldn't sink this low, yet here he was, capable of such actions.
"The game has only just begun, Lin Yu. Enjoy it," Jiang Chen said before hanging up the phone, his tone filled with triumph and provocation.
Lin Yu clutched her phone, feeling a chill in her palm as if she were holding a block of ice.
Jiang Chen's words echoed in her ears like a curse, sending waves of fear through her. She felt as though she were being targeted by a venomous snake, ready to strike at any moment.
What does he really want?
Is he truly intent on destroying her company?
Lin Yu took a deep breath, striving to calm herself. She reminded herself not to panic; the more critical the moment, the calmer she needed to be.
She knew this wasn't the time for fear; she had to pull herself together to face the challenges ahead. She needed to be like a warrior, always prepared for battle.
She must protect her company at all costs; she wouldn't allow Jiang Chen's schemes to succeed! This was her hard work, and she would not permit anyone to destroy it.
Lin Yu's gaze hardened, igniting like a burning flame that radiated dazzling light in the darkness. Her inner strength began to blaze.
