As soon as the final exams were over, Chen Hui and Wang Yanyan rushed back to Yang-city because Wang Yanyan was moving. Wang Yanyan's father had retired and used his pension to buy a small orchard in Dongping, Huicheng District. In the orchard, the previous owner had built a villa, which was serene, natural, fresh, and elegant. Her father loved it immensely. During the last spring break, he called Wang Yanyan home to announce and discuss this matter with the family. Seeing how enthusiastic their father was, everyone agreed that it would be nice for him to have an orchard to pass the time after retirement.
When it came to moving, Chen Hui, as the future son-in-law, could not shy away from offering his help where labor was needed. He insisted on going to help, and Wang Yanyan, knowing he wanted to curry favor with her father, took him home with her.
The day they returned to Yang-city was a Friday. Wang Yanyan first took Chen Hui around to have some fun but dared not visit the new shopping mall again because an old flame would cling to her there. That night, Chen Hui still slept in Wang Yanyan's room while she went to sleep with her mother as usual.
The next day, Wang Weifa, her brother, returned home with his sister-in-law. Although they had already moved out and were living elsewhere, moving the family was still a big deal that required the sons to come back and take care of things. Sister-in-law was due to give birth in just over a month; her belly was large with their first child. Although she still looked as beautiful as before, she was somewhat swollen all over. Wang Weifa initially didn't want her to come back, but she insisted on helping out. Everyone made sure not to let her lift anything heavy; they only allowed her to sit here and there and occasionally direct traffic so as not to disturb the baby.
Wang Weifa brought two small trucks and a large number of cardboard boxes and invited four or five colleagues and friends to help out. Moving all the furniture was no easy task. They started from the top floor, simply packing up items of all sizes and loading them onto the trucks. The group was busy and chaotic as they worked hard for the entire morning. After finally filling one truck, they looked back at the house and realized they had barely moved a tenth of their belongings.
The loaded truck left first, and Chen Hui along with Wang Yanyan and her parents rode along. Wang Weifa's colleague drove while their parents sat in the front giving directions. Chen Hui and Wang Yanyan squeezed between the furniture in the truck bed, taking advantage of the situation for some playful intimacy. After more than an hour on the road, when they arrived at their destination, another flurry of activity ensued as they unloaded the furniture. There was an empty space in front of the villa where everything was temporarily placed while Wang Yanyan and her parents organized things; Chen Hui and Wang Weifa's colleagues went back for another round of moving.
Upon returning to Yang-city, another truck also left fully loaded, leaving only Wang Weifa and Sister-in-law at home. When they saw everyone return, they got busy again loading more items onto the truck. When yet another truck was filled to capacity, Wang Weifa asked Chen Hui to stay behind to rest and keep Sister-in-law company because after this trip to Dong Ping, they would sort out all the items delivered today before everyone returned.
By this time it was nearly two in the afternoon, and both Chen Hui and Sister-in-law were hungry. Sister-in-law casually cooked two bowls of noodles in the kitchen for them to share.
The weather was hot; after a busy morning running around in the heat while eating hot noodles made them both sweat profusely. Chen Hui had already stripped down to just his tank top while Sister-in-law's chest glistened with beads of sweat that made her clothes cling tightly to her skin.
Sister-in-law loved looking beautiful; Chen Hui remembered how stunning she had looked on her wedding day in her wedding dress—her figure perfectly curvy and alluring. Now pregnant, she still dressed neatly in a beige maternity dress that hugged her figure well; with soft pink hues and bright lip gloss, she smiled revealing red lips and white teeth that made her look charmingly lovely. Sister-in-law's belly was particularly large, stretching her clothing tautly enough that her navel could be seen protruding; her breasts had swelled into large round shapes with pointed tips peeking through on either side.
