"Hey! It's you!" Mo Wen exclaimed with delight as he looked at the wooden box in his hands. This box was the very one that had contained Xiu Mu. Although he still hadn't figured out the magic circle on it, that didn't prevent it from being a suitable container for this item. He had no intention of keeping it for long; he would use it when the time was right. Taking out a storage bag, he placed the blood-colored stone, which was as large as a basin, into the bag, tied it shut, and put it back into the box. After carefully closing the lid, he set the box aside and began to meditate.
The blood-colored stone inside the box was none other than the source of Spiritual Power. After entering the cave and moving downwards into a smaller chamber, he eventually arrived at this current cavern. This cavern was about the same size as his own cave, and the bloodstone was located in its center, making it impossible not to notice upon entering.
"Haha! So refreshing!" After half a month of meditation, Mo Wen awoke as if from a deep sleep, feeling incredibly rejuvenated. His cultivation in the Ning Shen Realm had steadily progressed to the later stages. At this moment, he had absorbed all the Spiritual Power in the cave. Stretching lazily, he got up to inspect his surroundings. Since he had been focused on that bloodstone since entering, he hadn't taken the time to examine the entire cave. If this were anywhere else, it could have put him in extreme danger. After a thorough inspection, he found that outside the cave was already within the Lava Sea; there likely wouldn't be any hidden areas left. He picked up the box from the ground and crawled out of the cave.
Inside his cave, the wooden box rested on a stone table, with wisps of blue smoke rising from an incense burner nearby. Mo Wen sat down and sipped tea. The greatest gain from this exploration was indeed what lay inside the box. He still hadn't had a chance to closely examine that bloodstone and didn't understand why it emitted such pure Spiritual Power. While in the cave, he had speculated that it might be a legendary Divine Crystal; however, upon reflection, that seemed impossible. From what he knew, Divine Crystals were typically only about the size of an infant's fist. Although someone at a high realm could condense several Divine Crystals, they would never be able to form one this large. Moreover, Divine Crystals were not blood-colored—so what exactly was this bloodstone? For a moment, he found himself without an answer and felt a shiver run down his spine at how much Spiritual Power he had already absorbed from it.
He activated the magic circle on the cloth and opened the box. Taking out his storage bag, he untied its knot and gently placed the stone on the table for careful examination. He had done this countless times over these past few days but still couldn't feel certain—or perhaps he just thought it was unlikely.
The stone was entirely blood-colored, smooth and glossy under the light's reflection, exuding a warm hue. If it weren't for that pure Spiritual Power emanating from it, this would undoubtedly be classified as Supreme Jade. From what he understood about this world, people did not value beautiful jade; otherwise, such high-quality jade would fetch a good price. Thinking of this made Mo Wen feel somewhat disappointed.
"Uh... but this isn't jade at all; why would I want to sell it? What's wrong with me?" Mo Wen thought to himself in confusion, wishing he could slap himself for thinking about exchanging everything for money. It seemed like he wasn't really poor at all—and hadn't been for quite some time—yet why did he always feel like he belonged to a different world than others?
