The cultivation of the Ning Shen Realm can be both simple and complex. If there is a lack of Kung Fu and auxiliary materials, one cannot set higher demands on the cultivation of concentration; as long as one can condense the Spirit Cloud, it can be considered a success in concentration.
However, if one has higher expectations for concentration, better Kung Fu and more time spent on auxiliary materials are necessary for cultivation. The difference between the two lies in the size and solidity of the Spirit Cloud, which also has far-reaching effects. For instance, the size of the Spirit Cloud directly influences the difficulty of condensing the Divine Body in the future and the size of that Divine Body. Of course, this seemed unrelated to him. His situation regarding concentration had always made him anxious, prompting him to consult numerous texts. It was not until he arrived at Nameless Town, using the pretext of researching materials for Elder Zhu, that he discovered in Huo Lou that condensing concentration was not as difficult as he had previously imagined. However, he found no records about his own condition in those texts. Later, in his eagerness to enter the Lava Sea, he completely extinguished his desire to dig deeper into the matter; it seemed that his current state of concentration posed no issues for him and might even be beneficial.
Stretching lazily, he got up to move around and walked out of the Cave with renewed vigor. After surveying his surroundings, he dove back into the cave. The previously lost mood reignited with hope; since the cave was filled with pure spiritual energy, this energy must have a source. If he could find that source, his cultivation in concentration could see significant improvement in a short time—perhaps even reach perfection. With this source of spiritual energy, he would no longer have to worry about cultivation resources.
The cave continued to be saturated with rich spiritual energy, which hindered his perception. He could only search as he had before. The results were both expected and surprising; after a thorough search, hope once again dimmed.
"Since there’s no source, I cannot miss out on this spiritual energy," he decided firmly. Returning to the Cave, he began to absorb the drifting spiritual energy voraciously; such a large volume of spiritual energy should elevate his Realm.
A month passed. Mo Wen emerged from his meditation at the center of the Cave. During this month, he had absorbed the spiritual energy within the cave like wind; what was once dense spiritual energy had gradually thinned out and was now impossible to absorb further. In his mind, the small lake formed by Divine Liquid had transformed into a vast ocean. At this point, he should have reached the mid-stage of concentration; although he had only progressed from early mid-stage to mid-stage, the amount of condensed Divine Liquid was several times that of early stage. Throughout this month, Divine Rain had continuously poured above his mind. Opening his eyes, there was no trace of sorrow or joy in his gaze, but internally he felt quite satisfied with the results of this cultivation. Such an immense amount of spiritual energy indicated that his Realm had progressed from early mid-stage to mid-stage and demonstrated a solid foundation.
He stood up and re-entered the cave. After experiencing failures in searching for the source of spiritual energy multiple times, it was impossible to give up now. The cave was devoid of any obstructive spiritual energy that hindered perception; thus, he could conduct a more thorough search using his senses throughout the entire cave. If there truly was still a source of spiritual energy present, it should exist somewhere within the cave—just not detectable by sight alone. If there were no discoveries this time either, then he could wholeheartedly settle down as "Mo Bai Lao."
