Everyone rushed to Xiao Xin's room. 0

The door was locked from the inside, and after knocking for a long time with no response, they had no choice but to break down the door. Upon entering, they found Xiao Xin lying on her bed—once again, her method was clean and efficient, a knife piercing through her heart. 0

At her chest lay a piece of Peridot, a Virgo! 0

Underneath the pendant was a note: "This is the third one! Let the self-destruction begin, panicked guests. Remember! Only one person can leave!" 0

The drawers and wardrobe in the room had been ransacked, clothes strewn all over the floor. While examining the deceased, they pulled a ballpoint pen from the right pocket of her pajamas; indeed, there was also a key to the room! Another locked room! 0

At the entrance of the room, they discovered a roll of fine thread, just like the one from earlier, which was exactly another segment that had been cut! There were also some wood shavings. They carefully examined these items. 0

"The time of death is not far off from Xu Renbin; it must have happened just a few minutes after his death. The fatal wound is the stab to the chest," Liang Xueli said after inspecting the body, a hint of helplessness in her tone. 0

"How strange; we were all together during that time," Wen Ting remarked. "When we were checking Xu Renbin's room, no one left." 0

"Who could it be? Damn it! Could it be the missing Ling Song?" Sun Miaoyan pondered while putting back the ballpoint pen and key, trying to maintain the scene's original state. 0

"Hey? What’s this!" Wang Gang suddenly noticed something. 0

It turned out that in the deceased's right hand was something clenched tightly. Upon closer inspection, it was a small tuft of fluff. 0

"This must be Xiao Xin's death message!" Sun Miaoyan exclaimed, her eyes flashing with sharpness. 0

"Fluff… fluff… could it be you?" Liang Xueli suddenly realized. "Rongrong, you are the murderer! It must be you! When we were checking Xu Renbin's room, you took advantage of our distraction to quickly run to Xiao Xin's room. When she opened the door to let you in, you seized the opportunity to kill her! Then you messed up the room to make it look like an outsider did it. All of this couldn't have taken much time, could it?" 0

“No! It’s not me! I’m not the murderer!” Rongrong retreated step by step under the piercing gazes of others. 0

Suddenly, she turned her head and ran out, crying. 0

“Wait, wait a minute!” A Liang followed her outside. 0

As A Liang chased after her, he saw Rongrong sitting by a tree not far away, her head lowered as she quietly wept. A Liang approached slowly and gently tapped her shoulder. 0

“What are you doing here? Aren’t you afraid I’ll kill you, the murderer?” Rongrong said without turning around. “Now everyone doesn’t believe me!” 0

“They won’t. I know you’re not the murderer!” A Liang replied. “Actually, I think I can outline who the real killer is; it’s just that there are still a few questions that need answers.” 0

“Really?” Rongrong turned her head, wiping her tears with a hint of joy. “I hate it most when people don’t believe me.” 0

“At times like this, mutual suspicion is inevitable,” A Liang said, gazing at the sky. 0

“Yeah, it’s been really oppressive these past few days,” Rongrong shrugged. “How about we take a walk?” 0

Gradually, the two walked into the forest. 0

By now, it was dark, and suddenly they faintly heard a weak voice: “Is anyone there? Help me…” 0

“Someone is calling for help!” Rongrong immediately became alert and turned to run toward the sound. 0

“Hey, wait a minute! It could be dangerous,” A Liang called out, but Rongrong had already dashed ahead. 0

A Liang followed Rongrong as they traced the voice until they finally found the person in distress—it was Ling Song! He lay on the ground, weak and helpless. 0

Ling Song said that two days ago, on the fourth day of the seventh month of the Lunar Calendar, around six in the evening, he got separated from Liang Xueli while surveying in the forest. They had been together until then. 0

Later, while trying to find his way back, he fell and broke his leg, leaving him unable to move and forced to wait there. He had eaten all the supplies he brought with him. 0

For the past two days, everyone else had stayed at the inn and hadn’t noticed his absence. If no one came for him soon, he feared he might starve to death there... 0

"What a coincidence; perhaps fate has already made arrangements," A Liang reflected on the events of the past few days. 0

"Let’s hurry and carry him back so Liang Xueli can help treat him," Rongrong urged eagerly. 0

A Liang lifted Ling Song onto his back and was about to rise when he looked up at the night sky filled with stars. Suddenly, he recalled what Wen Ting had said about Scorpio... 0

After walking for a while, inspiration struck him. "I’ve got it!" A Liang's eyes sparkled with realization. "I think I know who the culprit is and how they did it!" He looked up at the sky. "Tomorrow, all the mysteries will be unveiled..." 0

A Liang and Rongrong quietly carried Ling Song to the dining area, gave him some food, and bandaged his wounds. 0

Ling Song regained a bit of strength and was allowed to rest in the dining area for the night. Afterwards, A Liang and Rongrong returned to the inn where everyone else was sitting in the lobby. 0

The atmosphere was tense as everyone watched them closely. A Liang and Rongrong didn’t share what had just happened with anyone; they hurried back to their rooms, locked the doors, and went to sleep. That night passed without incident. 0
