Rongrong took out a pen and carefully noted down everyone's zodiac signs: A Liang, Aquarius; Ling Song, Aries; Wu Wenting, Gemini; Liang Xueli, Sagittarius; Wang Gang, Taurus; Sun Miaoyan, Pisces; Xu Renbin, Scorpio; Yan Rongrong, Cancer; Xiao Xin, Virgo; the innkeeper, Leo. 0

Everyone fell into silence, the atmosphere growing increasingly tense. 0

"Alright, go on," A Liang broke the silence, his voice tinged with urgency. 0

"Later on, I came back," Liang Xueli said, a hint of fatigue in her tone. "Yesterday afternoon around six o'clock, I got separated from Ling Song in the forest. I searched for him for a long time but couldn't find him, so I had to return alone. At that time, everyone was gathered in Room 4, so I immediately treated you all. We didn't get much sleep last night." 0

"What about Xiao Xin now?" A Liang asked, concern flickering in his eyes. 0

"She... she might have been too affected by everything. She went downstairs to her room around eight last night and hasn't come out since," Rongrong replied sympathetically. 0

"Heh, affected? Is it really that serious?" Sun Miaoyan laughed coldly, a sharp glint in her eyes. "She might just be secretly reveling in it. When I chatted with the innkeeper, I learned that she is his only relative. If he dies, all his inheritance would go to her. Plus, when Wang Gang was carrying us upstairs, if she had been following closely behind, it's possible she could have sneaked in and killed the innkeeper." 0

"And then there's the missing Ling Song—he's quite suspicious too," Wang Gang added from the side, his tone laced with doubt. 0

"Hmph, I'm skeptical about whether he truly got lost," Sun Miaoyan replied coldly, crossing her arms defiantly. 0

"What... what do you mean by that?" Now it was Liang Xueli's turn to get anxious, her voice rising with anger. 0

“It's nothing. As a detective, I just consider a few possible scenarios,” Sun Miaoyan replied firmly. “I'm not just doubting you. In fact, everyone here is worth suspecting, including myself.” 0

“However, I don't think it could be Xiao Xin, because Virgo girls...” 0

Rongrong was about to express her opinion when she was interrupted by Wang Gang. “Alright, alright, everyone stop the mutual suspicion. We’ve all had a tiring day yesterday; let’s head back and rest early. Remember to lock the doors tonight since we all brought our own food.” 0

Each room in this inn has only one key, and there are no facilities on this small island to duplicate keys. 0

The lock on the door is the kind typically found on residential doors, with keyholes on both sides. The door can only be locked or unlocked from either side with the key; it’s impossible to do so without it. Each person is responsible for their own key. 0

The gloomy atmosphere made Wen Ting and A Liang feel quite oppressed. They stepped out of the inn and strolled to the seaside, inhaling the salty sea air. 0

“I thought this trip would be romantic; who knew something like this would happen?” Wen Ting sighed, a hint of helplessness in her eyes. 0

“Don’t worry, with me here, I’ll keep you safe,” A Liang said confidently, patting his chest. 0

“Just you? I think I’d be safer relying on myself…” Wen Ting smiled slightly, her tone teasing. 0

“Then let me recite a poem for you, Wen Ting. I wrote it just for you,” A Liang pretended to adopt a sentimental demeanor. 0

“Please, do you think I don’t know where you copied those lyrics from this time?” Wen Ting laughed and shook her head, her eyes sparkling with mischief. 0

“Ahem, you really have no sense of romance. This is something I specifically wrote for you.” 0

"Forget it, I really don't want to hear the lyrics anymore..." Wen Ting smiled helplessly, suddenly pointing at the starry sky above. "Look, the southern sky has Scorpio! There are three stars that look almost identical, forming an equilateral triangle. Doesn't it resemble the head of a scorpion? And your zodiac sign is up there too, but it's a pity we can't see the moon." 0

A gentle sea breeze brushed against their faces as Wen Ting softly hummed " Qixi Festival." A Liang watched her face and thought that if they could just stay like this forever, they could truly forget all their worries. He wished time would freeze at this moment, and the sun would never rise... 0

At that moment, A Liang seemed to have forgotten the dangerous situation he and his friends were in, as anyone could become the next victim. 0

In the darkness, perhaps a shadow was plotting: there should be another one down there... 0
