A heavy sense of oppression hung in the air of the Magic Castle, Leonard's betrayal weighing down on Aelia like a boulder, making it hard for her to breathe. The financial situation of the Magic Castle was deteriorating, its former glory reduced to a mere shell of its past.
Aelia sat in her study, her fingers mechanically fiddling with a parchment scroll, her heart filled with endless sorrow and confusion. Just then, a small, clear sound of "Yi Ya" broke through her myriad thoughts.
Aelia looked up to see her daughter Luna perched on her lap, gazing at her with wide, clear eyes. The determination and innocence reflected in those eyes stirred a warmth within Aelia's heart.
"What's wrong, Luna?" Aelia asked softly, trying to mask her inner anxiety with a gentle tone.
Luna seemed to understand, as she waved her little hands in the air and babbled "Yi Ya," as if trying to convey something important.
Unable to help herself, Aelia smiled, though there was a hint of bitterness in her expression. In that moment, she felt a long-lost comfort.
"Do you have some kind of solution?" Aelia leaned down and gently patted Luna's small hand.
Suddenly, Luna slapped her hand excitedly and called out in a baby voice before pointing toward the door of the study with her nimble little fingers.
A spark of hope ignited in Aelia's heart. Although she didn’t know exactly what Luna intended to do, her daughter's enthusiasm gave her a glimmer of optimism.
"Alright then, let’s see what you’ve discovered," Aelia said as she stood up, cradling Luna in her arms and heading toward the door.
Her heart was filled with complex emotions—uncertainty about the future mingled with boundless trust in her daughter.
Meanwhile, Lucius stood outside the study, listening as Qin Si quietly recounted Luna's strange behavior to him.
After hearing this, Lucius's lips curled into a slight smile, curiosity and anticipation evident as he approached Aelia.
"Mother, it seems Luna has made an important discovery," Lucius said, his voice tinged with confusion but mostly filled with trust for his sister.
Aelia nodded and gestured for him to follow. Qin Si trailed behind them, skepticism flickering in her eyes. Yet seeing Luna’s determined demeanor compelled her to join them as well.
Perhaps this little child could indeed bring about a turning point.
The group made their way down a narrow corridor, passing through one abandoned room after another until they reached a corner of the Magic Castle that had long been untouched by visitors. Dust covered the ground, and vines crept from the walls, shrouding the entire corner in desolation.
However, Luna seemed to possess an extraordinary perception of this place; her small hands waved gently through the air as if searching for something.
"There must be something here," Luna declared in her tender voice, surprisingly resolute.
Lucius listened intently and began to observe their surroundings closely. His gaze lingered on what appeared to be an ordinary stone slab for a moment before he suddenly noticed faint magical fluctuations emanating from it.
"There really is a Magic Circle!" Lucius exclaimed with excitement as he crouched down to examine the stone slab more closely.
Aelia and Qin Si gathered around, their hearts racing with a mix of tension and excitement.
"It seems we've truly found something," Aelia's voice trembled slightly, filled with anticipation.
Luna stood nearby, her small hands gently tapping on the stone slab as if encouraging them to press on.
At that moment, a gentle breeze swept through, carrying a faint magical aura, as if guiding them forward.
Lucius took a deep breath, placing his hands lightly on the stone slab, beginning to attempt the Breaking Magic array.
"We must trust Luna; she will surely find a way," Lucius spoke with determination, resolved to uncover the secret.
Aelia and Qin Si followed closely behind, their hearts brimming with hope for the future.
The Magic Circle on the slab began to tremble slightly, its glow growing brighter, as if revealing hidden secrets.
Just as they were on the verge of success, Luna suddenly jumped from Aelia's arms, her gaze fixed intently on the stone slab, her eyes sparkling with an unusual light.
"Brother, give it your all!" Luna's baby voice was filled with undeniable conviction.
Lucius felt his sister's encouragement strengthen his resolve; he focused even more intently on the Magic Circle.
The light gradually coalesced into a powerful force, and the magical patterns on the slab began to shift rapidly, causing the entire corner to vibrate with energy.
Aelia and Qin Si held each other's hands tightly.
Suddenly, a blinding light erupted from the slab, illuminating the entire corner as if the brilliance of the Magic Castle had returned in full glory.
In the radiance, a massive Treasure Vault slowly revealed its outline, filled with various precious resources and Magic Artifacts.
"We found it!" Lucius exclaimed, his voice brimming with excitement and tears glistening in his eyes.
Aelia and Qin Si embraced each other joyfully, all their anxiety and confusion seemingly dissipating in that moment.
Luna stood by, gently clapping her hands and calling out in her baby voice, "Brother, we did it!" Her face radiated pure joy as if the entire world was celebrating her achievement.
As they basked in their happiness, Luna suddenly pointed to a corner of the Treasure Vault. Lucius followed her gaze and noticed an unusual ripple emanating from that area.
"What is that?" Lucius asked cautiously as he approached the corner carefully.
Aelia and Qin Si followed suit, curiosity and unease filling their hearts.
Luna remained in place, her small hands clenched tightly, her eyes shining with determination.
She knew this was just the beginning; greater challenges lay ahead. And she was ready to face it all.
Aelia cautiously placed her hand on the softly glowing stone slab; an icy sensation coursed through her body instantly.
Recalling how to activate the Magic Circle automatically from memory, she slowly infused it with magic power.
However, the slab seemed like a bottomless pit, devouring her magic without any response at all.
“No, Mother, this Magic Circle is too complex. With my current abilities, I can't break it,” Aelia said, shaking her head in frustration, her voice filled with helplessness. Once the Lady of the Glory Fortress, she now felt a deep sense of defeat at being unable to decipher even a simple Magic Circle.
Lucius and Qin Si also wore expressions of disappointment; the flicker of hope that had just ignited seemed to be doused with cold water. “Are we really going to be helpless?” Qin Si's voice carried a hint of despair.
While everyone else felt disheartened, Luna remained undeterred. She wriggled free from Aelia's embrace and stumbled over to the stone slab, gently tracing the patterns on its surface with her chubby little hands.
“Yi Ya…” Luna murmured indistinctly, yet her gaze was intensely focused. Her mind raced as she tried to recall the descriptions of this Magic Circle from the original book. Indeed, it had mentioned this Magic Circle, set by the First Lord of the Magic Fortress to protect the treasures of the Magic Castle from being coveted by outsiders.
This Magic Circle was extremely intricate, requiring specific Magical Fluctuations for Automatic Activation and a special Spell to break it. Luna concentrated hard, attempting to remember those complex Spells and Magical Fluctuations. Memories from her past life as a Great Mage surged into her mind like a tidal wave.
Though she was now just an infant with limited magical power, deep within her soul lay a wealth of powerful magical knowledge. Time ticked by as beads of sweat formed on Luna's small face. She closed her eyes tightly, entering a meditative state.
Suddenly, her eyes snapped open, a spark of brilliance shining through. “I got it!” Luna exclaimed in her childish voice, though her pronunciation was unclear, it brimmed with confidence.
“Luna, do you know how to break it?” Aelia asked excitedly, as if clutching at a final lifeline.
Luna nodded and pointed to a specific spot on the stone slab while babbling something indistinctly. “You mean this is the key?” Lucius asked in confusion.
Luna nodded again and then pointed to another location on the slab. “And here too?” Qin Si added, equally puzzled.
Seeing their confusion, Luna boldly walked over to Lucius and Qin Si, taking their hands and guiding them to press down on the indicated spots on the stone slab. “Brother, here; Sister Qin Si, there.” Though her voice was young, it carried an air of command.
Lucius and Qin Si were uncertain but chose to trust Luna. Following her instructions, they placed their hands on the designated spots on the slab and slowly infused their magical energy into it. Meanwhile, Luna stood beside them, murmuring incantations as she began to chant an Ancient Spell.
The incantation was obscure and filled with mysterious power. As the spell was chanted, the magic patterns on the stone slab began to glow faintly, and a powerful magical fluctuation started to permeate the air.
"Now is the time, focus your mind and concentrate your magic into one point!" Luna's voice, though youthful, resonated with authority. Lucius and Qin Si did not dare to slack off; they poured their magic source into the stone slab with unwavering concentration.
Sweat beads formed on their foreheads, and their faces turned pale, yet they gritted their teeth and persevered. Aelia stood nearby, anxiously watching everything unfold. Her heart was filled with both anticipation and unease; she was unsure if Luna's method would truly work, but she wanted to believe in her daughter.
Time seemed to freeze as tension hung thick in the air. Suddenly, the light on the stone slab intensified, and a tremendous force erupted from it.
"Boom!" A loud crash echoed as the slab began to shake violently, as if the entire corner were about to collapse.
"We did it!" Lucius exclaimed excitedly, his voice brimming with joy. The stone slab slowly moved aside, revealing a dark opening.
An ancient and mysterious aura emanated from the entrance, evoking both curiosity and fear. Aelia gasped in surprise, covering her mouth; she had not expected her daughter to truly break this ancient magic circle.
Lucius and Qin Si cheered with delight, proud of their success. Luna stood aside with a triumphant smile, knowing she had successfully dismantled the magic circle and opened a new door for the future of the Magic Castle.
As the opening widened, the scene inside gradually became visible. It was filled with all sorts of treasure chests—gold coins, gemstones, magic artifacts—precious resources piled high, sparkling brilliantly.
"This... this is simply a treasure trove!" Lucius marveled, his eyes wide with astonishment. Aelia also stared in shock at what lay before her; she had not imagined that the Magic Castle concealed such immense wealth.
With these riches, the Magic Castle could hope to regain its former glory. Just as everyone was immersed in joy, Luna suddenly pointed to a corner of the treasure and began babbling something.
"What's over there?" Aelia asked in confusion.
Lucius followed Luna's finger and noticed that something seemed hidden in that corner of the treasure, obscured by various items.
"I'll go take a look," Lucius said as he walked toward the corner of the treasure.
He carefully moved aside the clutter, revealing an ancient wooden chest before him. The chest was adorned with strange runes that emanated an unsettling aura.
"What is this?" Lucius asked, puzzled. He reached out to open the chest, but Aelia stopped him.
"Be careful, Lucius; this chest looks a bit odd," Aelia warned, her tone cautious.
Lucius nodded, taking a deep breath as he cautiously opened the chest. The moment it creaked open, a cloud of black gas surged out, quickly filling the entire space.
"Cough cough..." The group choked as they struggled to breathe.
Once the black gas dissipated, an ancient scroll appeared before them. The scroll was covered in dense writing that radiated an evil energy.
Luna gazed at the scroll, her expression troubled. "What is this thing...?" A hint of unease crept into Aelia's voice.
Luna remained silent, her eyes fixed on the scroll as if lost in thought. She understood that the appearance of this scroll would bring greater peril to Magic Castle.
"Mother, this scroll..." Lucius began to say something but was interrupted by Luna.
Suddenly, Luna pointed at the scroll and babbled something incomprehensible while gesturing to herself, her eyes shining with determination.
"Luna, are you saying...?" Aelia seemed to grasp Luna's meaning.
Luna nodded and extended her small hand toward the scroll.
"Luna, don't touch it! It's too dangerous!" Aelia quickly intervened.
However, Luna disregarded Aelia's warning and resolutely walked toward the scroll. Her face was filled with determination, as if she had made an important decision.
As her small hand slowly reached for the scroll, just before making contact, Luna suddenly halted. Her gaze was fixed on the scroll, as if engaged in some silent communication with it.
In the end, Luna picked up the scroll and held it tightly in her hand. A mysterious smile spread across her face, evoking both curiosity and unease in those around her.
"What will happen next?" Luna's eyes were deep and inscrutable, leaving others unable to fathom her true thoughts.
