Luna stood in the center of the hall, her small figure radiating an undeniable aura.
Her silver-white hair cascaded down like a waterfall, and the wisdom gleamed in her blood-red eyes.
Everything that had just transpired felt like a fleeting dream, yet it had profoundly changed her and was about to alter the destiny of the Magic Castle.
First, she turned her gaze toward her elder brother, who was growing weaker due to the Magic Backlash.
His face was pale, his body trembling slightly as he curled up in the chair in pain.
Luna approached him with a heavy heart, gently taking his hand. A warm current flowed from her fingertips into her brother's body, temporarily alleviating his suffering.
“Brother,” Luna's voice was clear and melodious, yet carried an undeniable firmness, “I know you have been tormented by the Magic Backlash for too long, but I can help you.”
He lifted his head, his muddled gaze opening his mouth as if to say something, but then he weakly closed it again.
The Magic Backlash had tortured him for so long that he had nearly lost all hope.
Ignoring her brother's hesitation, Luna continued, “You need to find Moonshadow Grass and Starlight Stone, grind them into powder, and mix them with the water from the Fountain of Life. Take it three times a day, and after a month, the Magic Backlash will disappear.”
Her brother listened intently; both Moonshadow Grass and Starlight Stone were extremely rare magical materials, and the Fountain of Life was a legendary existence.
He found it hard to believe that these items could truly cure his Magic Backlash.
“I know it's difficult for you to believe,” Luna seemed to see through her brother's thoughts, “but this is indeed the only way. Trust me, brother; I can help you.”
With determination and sincerity in her eyes, Luna's brother hesitated for a moment before finally nodding in agreement.
"Better to be a live horse doctor," he thought, as the current situation couldn't possibly get worse.
A few days later, his elder brother took the potion according to Luna's instructions.
At first, he felt no change, but as time passed, the Magic Backlash within him truly began to lessen.
The pain on his face gradually faded, replaced by surprise and hope.
He looked at Luna with eyes full of gratitude and admiration.
Next, Luna found her Second Brother.
He was sitting in the garden with a dejected expression, holding a broken Magic Water crystal.
This crystal had been given to him by his once best friend, but he never expected it to contain a trap that had ensnared him in a Magic Dilemma.
Luna approached her Second Brother and recounted the entire story, including the betrayal of his "dear friend" and how to break free from the Magic Dilemma.
At first, Second Brother was shocked, then angry, and finally filled with deep regret.
He couldn't believe he had trusted someone so easily, leading him to such a predicament.
"I’m such a fool!" Second Brother slammed his fist into the ground, his tone heavy with self-reproach.
"Now is not the time for self-blame," Luna said, patting his Lucius' Thin Shoulders. "What matters is that you know how to resolve this now."
Luna informed Second Brother that he needed to find the Purification Stone to cleanse the contaminated Magic Water crystal.
Although the Purification Stone is rare, it is still better than feeling helpless.
Upon hearing this, Second Brother's eyes ignited with determination.
He stood up, clenched his fists, and said with unwavering resolve, "I will definitely break free from this predicament!"
In the end, Luna found her Brother San.
Brother San was lying on the grass, leisurely basking in the sun.
He possessed exceptional Magical Talent but had neglected his training due to his excessive arrogance.
Luna approached Brother San and got straight to the point, "Brother San, your talent is high, but if you continue like this, you will regret it sooner or later."
Brother San opened his eyes and glanced at Luna nonchalantly, saying, "I'm a genius; even without training, I'm better than others."
Luna shook her head and replied, "Talent is just a foundation; effort is key. Do you think everything you have is a given? Have you ever considered that if you keep this up, your talent will eventually be wasted?"
Luna's words struck Brother San like a wake-up call, jolting him into realization.
He sat up and looked at Luna, finally aware that he had been too self-assured all along.
"I... I understand," Brother San said with his head down, his tone filled with guilt. "Thank you, Luna."
Seeing the change in her three brothers, Luna smiled with satisfaction. She knew this was just the beginning.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the Magic Castle, Aelia sat in her room with a gloomy expression.
She already knew of Leonard's betrayal, and the anger within her erupted like a volcano.
Tightly gripping the dagger in her hand, the sharp blade left a faint scar on her pale skin.
"Leonard," Aelia said through clenched teeth, "how dare you betray me! I will never let you get away with this!"
She suddenly stood up, walked to the window, and gazed at the distant scenery, her eyes cold and resolute.
"This will all change," she whispered, her tone laced with determination.
Turning towards the door, she pushed it open and stepped outside.
The corridor was silent, only her footsteps echoed around her.
She was going to find Leonard; she would make him pay.
Arriving at Leonard's study door, she took a deep breath, raised her hand, and was about to knock...
Aelia suddenly pushed open the study door, revealing Leonard hunched over his work.
He wore a deep blue Magic Robe, his broad Lucius' Thin Shoulders casting shadows in the candlelight, resembling an insurmountable mountain.
Aelia's footsteps startled Leonard; he slowly turned around, a hint of impatience on his face.
"What is it?" he asked coldly, his eyes devoid of warmth.
Seeing Leonard's indifferent demeanor only fueled Aelia's fury further.
She bit her lips tightly, struggling to control her emotions.
"Nothing," she forced down the anger within her, speaking in a cold tone. "I just came to see you."
Leonard scoffed dismissively, as if he had heard a joke.
"See me? Hmph, I think you're just looking for trouble." He turned back to his desk, continuing his work, completely disregarding Aelia.
Aelia's hands clenched tightly, her nails nearly digging into her flesh.
She felt a coldness rising from her feet, spreading throughout her body.
Taking a deep breath, she tried to calm herself.
"Leonard," she said in a steady voice, laced with warning, "I hope you remember that I am the mistress of the Glorious Demon Fortress."
Leonard sneered contemptuously. "Mistress? Do you think you're still that lofty Aelia from before? Now, you are nothing!"
He suddenly stood up and walked in front of Aelia, looking down at her from above.
Aelia met Leonard's gaze without fear, her eyes glinting with a cold light.
The study was thick with tension, the air seemingly frozen.
The two faced off for a moment before Aelia ultimately turned and left the study.
She knew that now was not the time to tear their masks off.
Leonard watched Aelia's retreating figure, a cold smirk playing at the corners of his mouth.
He didn't take Aelia's warning to heart at all; he believed she was just bluffing.
He turned back to his desk, pulled out a Magic Communication Stone from the drawer, infused it with magic, and whispered, "How is everything progressing?"
On the other end of the communication stone came a sultry female voice, "Everything is going according to plan, my lord."
Leonard nodded in satisfaction. "Good, continue to monitor her and report any unusual movements immediately."
"Yes, my lord."
Leonard put away the communication stone, unaware that Aelia's unusual behavior was not merely a petty tantrum but a precursor to a storm that would engulf the entire Magic Castle.
Meanwhile, Luna stood in the garden, watching her three brothers frolicking on the grass.
Her eldest brother's complexion had returned to a healthy hue, and he had grown stronger; Second Brother had rekindled his passion for magic, wearing a confident smile; Brother San had also begun to train earnestly.
Luna looked at them with a heart full of joy.
She knew her efforts had not been in vain.
However, she also felt a twinge of worry.
She understood that the conflict between Aelia and Leonard would eventually erupt, and this clash would bring immense danger to the Magic Castle.
She gazed up at the sky, her eyes revealing a hint of concern.
Dark clouds gathered thickly, blocking out the sun, as if heralding an impending storm.
The atmosphere within the Magic Castle grew increasingly tense, as various factions began to stir, and a massive conspiracy was brewing.
Luna took a deep breath and clenched her fists.
She knew she had to be prepared for the challenges that lay ahead.
The destinies of the Magic Castle and her family were all in her hands.
Just then, a maid rushed over, breathless.
"Luna," the maid said, panting, "Madam... Madam wants you to come to her room."
A sense of unease tightened in Luna's chest as an ominous premonition washed over her.
She followed the maid to Aelia's room, pushed the door open, and saw Aelia sitting by the window, cradling something in her arms, her gaze vacant as she stared outside.
"Luna..." Aelia's voice was hoarse and weak. "Come here, to your mother..."
Luna approached Aelia, who pulled her tightly into an embrace, a hint of despair lacing her tone. "There are some things... I must tell you..."
