Stepping into the cursed ancient city, a chilling atmosphere enveloped them. Black mist swirled through the streets, obscuring their vision, and with every step, faint wails echoed around them, as if countless vengeful spirits were recounting the tragic past of this city. Kalan walked alongside Lia, his silver eyes scanning their surroundings with vigilance. The Dark Moon Power flowed steadily within him, ready to confront any potential danger. Lia clutched a bag containing the first three Moonlight Gems tightly, while her other hand rummaged through her Experimental Pack, searching for potions to counter unknown threats. 0

The buildings lining the streets were in ruins, their walls overrun with eerie black vines that shimmered with a ghostly purple light, seemingly absorbing the dark energy of the ancient city. Suddenly, a Ghost Wolf formed from swirling black mist lunged out from the shadows. Its eyes glowed a blood-red as it opened its mouth to emit a silent roar, charging towards Lia. Kalan reacted swiftly, darting in front of Lia as the Dark Moon Power coalesced into a dark red blade of energy that slashed at the Ghost Wolf. The blade cut through, leaving a gash in the creature's form, but the mist quickly healed it, and it attacked again. 0

Lia observed the Ghost Wolf's movements calmly and noticed that its eyes flashed more intensely before each strike. She quickly retrieved a potion to disperse the mist and hurled it at the Ghost Wolf. The potion exploded beside it, releasing a cloud of white smoke. The Ghost Wolf howled in pain within the fog as its body gradually became transparent before vanishing completely. 0

"It seems the curse here is more troublesome than we imagined," Kalan said with a frown, a hint of worry flickering in his Yin Tong. 0

"Don't worry; if we stay cautious, we will surely find the Moonlight Gem," Lia replied firmly, her gaze reflecting unwavering determination. 0

They ventured deeper into the ancient city until they reached a massive palace. The grand doors were tightly shut, covered in strange symbols and patterns that emitted a faint black glow, seemingly resisting any intruder's entry. Lia studied these symbols closely and found similarities to ancient records from the Bloodfang Clan and Silver Claw Family, though there were clear differences. 0

"These symbols seem to tell a story about the origin of the curse," Lia remarked while examining them. "It appears that the rulers of this ancient city once sought to control the Dark Moon Power and the strength of the Moonlight Priestess, disrupting some balance that led to this disaster." 0

Kalan pondered for a moment before saying, "Perhaps this is related to the Moonlight Gem we seek and its connection to Purification and Dark Moon Power. It’s possible that the Moonlight Gem is hidden within the palace and is key to lifting the curse." 0

They tried various methods to open the doors; Kalan struck with Dark Moon Power while Lia attempted to decipher the symbols' secrets, but neither succeeded. Just as they began to feel disheartened, Lia's Crescent Rune on her wrist suddenly emitted a faint blue light that resonated with the symbols on the door. The black glow of those symbols began to fade as the door slowly creaked open, releasing a surge of powerful dark energy from within. 0

Inside the dimly lit palace hall, only a few flickering crystal lamps provided meager illumination. In the center stood a massive stone pedestal upon which rested a gem radiating weak blue light—the last Moonlight Gem they had been desperately searching for. However, surrounding it was a ring of black flames that twisted into distorted human faces, emitting cries of anguish. 0

"Those flames look dangerous; we need to be careful," Lia warned. 0

Kalan nodded and cautiously approached the pedestal, attempting to use Dark Moon Power to dispel the black flames. As his power made contact with them, they flared violently with sharp screams as if resisting his encroachment. Kalan gritted his teeth and pushed harder; veins bulged on his forehead, but there was no sign of retreat from the flames—instead, they seemed to spread further. 0

Seeing this, Lia pulled out every potion she had that could enhance her magical power from her Experimental Pack and downed them all at once. Focusing her mind, she merged her strength with that of the first three Moonlight Gems and unleashed it towards the black flames. A brilliant blue light flashed as she suppressed them; anguished cries erupted from within. 0

Seizing this opportunity, Kalan launched another attack. He maximized his Dark Moon Power and conjured massive dark red orbs of energy in both hands before hurling them at the black flames. The orbs collided with an earth-shattering explosion that shook the entire palace. 0

Amidst the explosion's brilliance, Kalan dashed forward and grasped the Moonlight Gem. The moment he held it tightly in his hand, an overwhelming force surged into him from the gem, reacting violently with his own Dark Moon Power. Kalan roared in pain as his body trembled uncontrollably; alternating flashes of dark red and blue light flickered in his Yin Tong as two powers battled fiercely within him. 0

"Kalan!" Lia rushed to his side in an attempt to stabilize his internal turmoil but was thrown back by an immense force. 0

Outside the palace, black mist began swirling violently, coalescing into enormous monsters charging towards them. These creatures varied in form—some resembled giant spiders covered in sharp black spikes; others appeared as skeletal figures wielding weapons engulfed in black flames. They broke through the palace defenses and surged into the hall toward Lia and Kalan. 0

Ignoring her own safety, Lia once again summoned her power as Moonlight Priestess and engaged in battle against these monsters. Infusing her attacks with Moonlight Gem energy allowed her to unleash powerful blue waves that repelled approaching foes. However, they kept coming relentlessly; she soon felt overwhelmed. 0

Kalan struggled through his pain; he realized that if he couldn't control this power within him, not only would he be consumed by Dark Moon Power but also put Lia and everyone else in danger. Gritting his teeth with fierce determination, he fought to maintain clarity amidst chaos. Memories flooded back—moments shared with Lia during their quest for Purification and Dark Moon Power—and he felt an unshakeable conviction rise within him. 0

With this newfound resolve bolstering him, Kalan gradually learned how to merge both powers—the Moonlight Gem's essence with Dark Moon Power—guiding them together until they intertwined harmoniously. As their energies fused together within him, his pain lessened gradually while stability returned to his Yin Tong's glow. 0

Standing tall once more radiating an extraordinary light—half dark red from Dark Moon Power and half blue from Moonlight Gem—Kalan gazed at the monsters before him filled with strength and resolve. He raised his hands as intertwined energies formed powerful waves directed at them. 0

Wherever these energy waves struck down upon them, monsters dissipated into clouds of black mist that Kalan guided outside until they vanished into thin air. The curse's hold on this ancient city weakened significantly; gradually dispersing mist allowed sunlight to filter down onto their path. 0

Kalan approached Lia and took her hand firmly. "We did it, Lia." His voice carried fatigue yet was filled with joy and relief. 0

"Yes, we did it," Lia said, looking at him with tears shimmering in her eyes. 0

They arrived at the edge of Yueyue Spring, carrying five Moonlight Gems. At that moment, the Blood Moon hung high in the sky once again, but unlike before, this Blood Moon seemed to emanate a sense of peace. Kalan and Lia placed the five Moonlight Gems at the five cardinal points around Yueyue Spring, following the Purification method they had learned earlier. 0

Once the Moonlight Gems were positioned, the surface of Yueyue Spring began to shimmer with an extraordinary light. Five different colors of light intertwined, forming a massive Energy Vortex. Kalan and Lia stood at the center of the vortex, their hands tightly clasped together, ready to embrace the final Purification Ritual. 0

As the Energy Vortex spun, Kalan felt the Dark Moon Power within him being slowly drawn out, merging with the power of the Moonlight Gems in a process of mutual Purification. During this transformation, he sensed that every cell in his body was undergoing a baptism; the malevolent aura of the Dark Moon Power was completely eradicated, leaving behind a pure and potent force. 0

Lia also experienced an elevation of her own Moonlight Priestess powers. The Crescent Rune on her wrist radiated a dazzling blue light, blending seamlessly with the surrounding brilliance. She saw her mother's figure emerge within the glow, smiling down at her with eyes full of pride and blessing. 0

As the last trace of Dark Moon Power was purified, the Energy Vortex gradually dissipated, and the surface of Yueyue Spring returned to calmness. Kalan's silver hair regained its original luster; no longer did dark red ripples appear in his Yin Tong, replaced instead by a clear and bright light. On his left chest, the Dark Moon Brand transformed into a faint Crescent Mark that emitted a soft blue glow. 0

"We have finally succeeded in purifying the Dark Moon Power," Kalan remarked with emotion. 0

"Yes, it’s all over now," Lia replied as she leaned against Kalan's embrace, her heart filled with happiness and contentment. 0

After this Purification Ritual, Ironforge City was completely freed from the threat of Eternal Night. The city regained its former prosperity, and people lived peaceful and tranquil lives. Lia and Kalan became heroes of Ironforge City, admired and loved by its citizens. Yet they did not become arrogant; they understood that safeguarding the peace and balance between their two races was their eternal responsibility. 0

In the days that followed, Kalan returned to the Silver Claw Family to restore order within his clan and set it back on track. Lia continued her studies in Pharmacy, using her knowledge and abilities to help more people. They often visited Yueyue Spring together, reminiscing about their challenging adventure with hearts full of nostalgia. 0

The legends surrounding Dark Moon Power and the Moonlight Priestess were passed down through Ironforge City, becoming tales of heroism that inspired generations to face difficulties bravely and protect all that they cherished. 0
