For Mo Wen, the most challenging issue now was to confirm the location of the cavities within the mountain. The towering waves of the sea had subsided, and the dull ringing of the bell would no longer echo. If he wanted to "listen for clues," he would have to wait several hundred years, which was clearly impossible. 0

"It seems I can only resort to the most primitive method!" After contemplating several approaches, he sighed; the simplest method seemed the most reliable. Although it would take more time and effort, it was certainly more stable. With a plan in mind, he began his preparations. 0

On the island, he was in a depression beneath the small Foot of the Mountain where he and Little Black Cave were located. This was currently the lowest point on the entire island. Mo Wen chose this spot to implement his plan. He drilled holes in the stones on the ground and inserted pre-made explosive barrels into them. Tying a rope to one of them, he ran behind a large rock and ignited the rope. "Boom! Boom!" Smoke billowed from the depression as debris flew everywhere. 0

"Ha ha! It worked!" He laughed heartily while clearing away the shattered stones. The explosives had been an idea that came to him in recent days; he wanted to make digging easier and realized that some initial effort was necessary. Normally, one would either use talismans or dig manually to break rock. He and Xiao Hei had painstakingly carved out their Cave bit by bit. As for talismans, he couldn't craft them and lacked materials; he didn't dare use what little he had except in critical situations. Most of the materials for making explosives were readily available in this underground world, and even what he lacked could be found in his Square Inch World. While not inexhaustible, they were certainly common. 0

"Boom! Boom!" Over these past few days, there had been deep explosions echoing from the depression at intervals, gradually transforming it into a vertical shaft. The stones cleared from the shaft were thrown into the Lava below. At this point, the shaft had already descended over ten fathoms beneath the Lava, yet there were still no unusual findings. 0

"Hmm?" After clearing away more stones, Mo Wen stood at the bottom of the shaft with a furrowed brow. He had been excavating here for half a month now, and as he expected, it became increasingly difficult to dig deeper. Fortunately, his explosives had improved in power through practice over this time, so his digging speed had not slowed down. He should now be about eighty or ninety fathoms below sea level. Just moments ago, using Divine Perception to probe around, he noticed that his sensing depth had diminished; it seemed something was obstructing his exploration. "There's something down there!" This was Mo Wen's first reaction as his nerves began to tighten. 0

Though anxious, he also felt a surge of excitement; luck seemed to be on his side as he had pinpointed the right location on his first attempt. Regardless of what lay beneath, at least he had chosen the correct spot for excavation. After carefully checking for any signs of danger and finding none, his heart eased slightly. However, moving forward with excavation would require a more delicate approach than before; he needed to set things up properly. 0

As he felt an obstruction akin to metal clashing against stone from below, Mo Wen paused his actions. After inspecting further, he began to excavate around him. Since discovering this anomaly, he switched to manual labor; it was akin to when he was in Qilin Cave—hammering away with much lower efficiency than he could tolerate. Several times he considered using explosives again—one blast could clear everything—but each time he suppressed that impulse. 0
