Lin Yue took a deep breath and said, "Zhou Yi, I want to talk to you. Is that okay?"
Zhou Yi was silent for a moment before replying, "Sure, let's meet at the café near the office."
After hanging up, Lin Yue's emotions became even more complex. She didn't know what to say or how Zhou Yi would react. Nevertheless, she felt that some things needed to be clarified.
Once they sat down at the café, Lin Yue looked at Zhou Yi, feeling a bit nervous. Zhou Yi smiled slightly at her and asked, "What's on your mind?"
Lin Yue lifted her head and looked at Zhou Yi with determination in her eyes. "Zhou Yi, I know you like Su Wan, and I also know you two have been together for a long time. But I still want to tell you that I like you. I don't know how you feel about me, but I hope you can understand my feelings."
Zhou Yi looked at Lin Yue, his eyes reflecting a mix of emotions. "Lin Yue, I know you're a wonderful girl, and I really appreciate you. However, I've been with Su Wan for quite some time now, and I don't want my feelings to affect you."
Lin Yue smiled gently. "I understand. I just wanted you to know how I feel. I won't force you to do anything or disrupt your relationship. I just hope you can comprehend my emotions."
Zhou Yi gazed at Lin Yue, feeling somewhat touched. "Lin Yue, I'm grateful for your honesty. I know you're a kind-hearted person, and I cherish our friendship. I hope we can continue working together and growing as we always have."
Lin Yue nodded. "I know. I also value our friendship. We can work hard together as before and do our jobs well."
Zhou Yi smiled slightly. "Alright then, let's keep it that way."
The atmosphere between them lightened considerably. Lin Yue looked at Zhou Yi with gratitude in her heart. She knew he was a good person who wouldn't hurt her because of her feelings. And she would strive to improve herself without letting emotions interfere with her work.
6.2 A New Beginning
After this candid exchange, Lin Yue and Zhou Yi's relationship became more harmonious. They no longer felt awkward about their emotional issues but focused more on their work instead. Lin Yue worked harder, significantly improving her skills as a Copywriter. Zhou Yi also supported her more, and they encouraged each other in their tasks.
The Advertising Project was finally completed successfully, and the client was very pleased with the advertisement's effectiveness. The project team celebrated in the office with great joy. Lin Yue looked at Zhou Yi with gratitude; she knew that without his help, she couldn't have achieved such results.
After the celebration ended, Lin Yue walked out of the office with Zhou Yi. She smiled slightly at him and said, "Zhou Yi, this project succeeded thanks to your help."
Zhou Yi looked back at Lin Yue with a smile of his own. "No, it was your hard work. I was just there to assist you."
Lin Yue shook her head. "No, it was you who taught me how to face difficulties and persist through challenges. Thank you, Zhou Yi."
Zhou Yi looked at Lin Yue with tenderness in his eyes. "Lin Yue, I'm thankful for you too. You’ve shown me your growth and effort. I believe you'll continue to get better."
Lin Yue smiled softly. "I know I will work hard. Let's keep pushing forward together."
Zhou Yi nodded in agreement. "Yes, let's do it together."
As they walked down the street under the glowing lights, their hearts were filled with hope. They understood that although there were some regrets in their feelings, they would continue to strive and grow together. This experience would become one of the most valuable treasures in their lives.
