Xuan Yang was roughly shoved by the villagers all the way to the central square of the village. 0

In the square, a large crowd had already gathered, all of them staring at Xuan Yang with eyes filled with anger and hatred. 0

At the front of the crowd stood the Old Village Chief and several unfamiliar elders. 0

The Old Village Chief looked at Xuan Yang, his eyes filled with helplessness and regret. 0

“Xuan Yang, why did you do this?” the Old Village Chief asked in a deep voice. 0

Xuan Yang looked bewildered. “What did I do?” 0

An elder stepped forward, pointing an accusing finger at Xuan Yang. “You dare to quibble! You trespassed into the ruined temple and stole the Sacred Relic. Your crime is unforgivable!” 0

Only then did Xuan Yang realize that the villagers had captured him because they suspected he had stolen something from the temple. 0

“I didn’t steal anything!” Xuan Yang protested loudly. “I just went in to take a look!” 0

“Still lying!” another elder snorted coldly. “We saw you come out of the ruined temple with our own eyes. Do you still want to deny it?” 0

Xuan Yang was filled with grievance and anger; he had done nothing wrong yet was being wrongfully accused of theft. 0

“I really didn’t steal anything!” Xuan Yang emphasized again. “You have to believe me!” 0

However, the villagers did not believe his words at all; they all thought he was the culprit. 0

The Old Village Chief sighed and said, “Xuan Yang, I know you didn’t steal anything, but now the evidence is conclusive, and you have no way to defend yourself.” 0

Despair washed over Xuan Yang as he looked at the Old Village Chief. He never expected that even he wouldn’t believe him. 0

“Village Chief, you can’t do this!” Xuan Yang cried out. “I am truly innocent!” 0

The Old Village Chief shook his head and replied, “Child, I know you are suffering, but this is the village’s rule, and I cannot go against it.” 0

“What rule?” Xuan Yang asked. 0

“Anyone who trespasses into the ruined temple must undergo the Guardian's Trial,” the Old Village Chief stated. 0

“Guardian's Trial?” Xuan Yang asked in confusion. “What is that?” 0

“The Guardian's Trial is a test set by the Guardian of the Temple himself. Only those who pass the trial can prove their innocence,” the Old Village Chief explained. 0

Xuan Yang looked at the Old Village Chief, a glimmer of hope igniting within him. 0

“If I pass the trial, will you believe me?” Xuan Yang asked. 0

The Old Village Chief nodded and said, “Exactly. As long as you pass the trial, you will be able to prove your innocence.” 0

Taking a deep breath, Xuan Yang declared, “Alright, I accept the trial!” 0

The Old Village Chief regarded Xuan Yang with a hint of admiration in his eyes. 0

“Very well, my child. I believe you can pass the trial,” the Old Village Chief said. 0

He then led Xuan Yang deep into the ruins of the temple. 0

In the depths of the ruins stood an ancient altar, covered in mysterious runes. 0

The Old Village Chief approached the altar and said, “Xuan Yang, this is the Guardian's Trial. You must pass the test of the altar to prove your innocence.” 0

Xuan Yang gazed at the altar, filled with both tension and anticipation. 0

He took another deep breath and stepped forward to the altar. 0

Suddenly, the runes on the altar began to glow, emitting a dazzling light. 0

Startled by the sudden brilliance, Xuan Yang quickly stepped back a few paces. 0

The light lasted for a moment before gradually dimming. 0

When the light completely faded, a black vortex appeared on the altar. 0

“Xuan Yang, this is the Guardian's Trial. You need to enter the vortex to pass the test,” the Old Village Chief instructed. 0

Xuan Yang looked at the black vortex, filled with fear and unease. 0

He had no idea what lay within the vortex or what he would have to face. 0

However, to prove his innocence, he had to enter the vortex. 0

Taking a deep breath, Xuan Yang stepped into the swirling darkness. 0

After a dizzying spin, he found himself in an unfamiliar space. 0

This space was pitch black, and he couldn't see his own hand in front of his face. 0

Suddenly, Xuan Yang felt a powerful force rushing toward him. 0

He quickly dodged, narrowly avoiding the attack. 0

As he focused, he realized that the one attacking him was a Black Shadow. 0

A shadow? 0

Xuan Yang's mind raced as he recalled his Golden Finger—Shadow Puppet. 0

Could this be the Guardian's Trial? 0

He silently recited the incantation and summoned his Shadow Puppet. 0

Once summoned, the Shadow Puppet immediately launched an attack on the Black Shadow. 0

The two shadows clashed fiercely in the air, creating a series of thunderous sounds. 0

While controlling his Shadow Puppet, Xuan Yang observed his surroundings. 0

He noticed that this space was fraught with danger, filled with traps and mechanisms. 0

If he accidentally triggered a trap or mechanism, he would suffer fatal injuries. 0

Xuan Yang cautiously navigated through traps and mechanisms while controlling the Shadow Puppet to battle Black Shadow. 0

After an intense fight, Xuan Yang finally defeated Black Shadow. 0

As Black Shadow vanished, a beam of light appeared in the space. 0

The light illuminated the entire area, allowing Xuan Yang to see the full extent of his surroundings. 0

It was a vast underground labyrinth filled with various monsters and traps. 0

At the center of the labyrinth stood a tall stone tablet, inscribed with several large characters—Guardian's Trial. 0

Xuan Yang approached the tablet and carefully read the inscription. 0

The inscription detailed the rules of the Guardian's Trial. 0

The Guardian's Trial was divided into three stages. 0

The first stage was to defeat Black Shadow. 0

The second stage was to traverse the labyrinth and reach the top of the tablet. 0

The third stage was to solve the riddle inscribed on the tablet. 0

Only by completing these three stages could one pass the Guardian's Trial. 0

Having completed the first stage, Xuan Yang now needed to navigate through the labyrinth to reach the top of the tablet. 0

"It seems that the real test has only just begun," Xuan Yang muttered to himself. 0

He looked deep into the labyrinth with eyes filled with determination and resolve. 0

He knew he had to pass the Guardian's Trial to prove his innocence and save this village. 0

Taking a deep breath, he stepped into the depths of the labyrinth… 0

At that moment, the entrance to the maze suddenly closed. 0

Xuan Yang found himself trapped inside. 0

"What’s going on?" A jolt of fear surged through Xuan Yang. 0

He hurried to the entrance and pushed against the heavy door with all his might, but it wouldn’t budge. 0

"Damn it!" Xuan Yang cursed under his breath. 0

He was stuck in the maze, unsure of how to escape. 0

Just then, he heard a strange, eerie laughter echoing through the air. 0

"Hehehe..." 0

The laughter came from deep within the maze, sending chills down his spine. 0

"Who’s there?" Xuan Yang called out loudly. 0

Yet, no one answered him. 0

The laughter continued, growing closer and clearer with each passing moment. 0

Xuan Yang's heart raced with fear and unease. 0

He realized he was in danger. 0

Clenching his fists tightly, he braced himself for a fight. 0
