The Legend of the Immortals Prequel: Wilderness Journey
Ten Thousand Swords in One turned around in shock, his expression filled with disbelief. He stared at the dark Qiu Wangyu hall and hurried to Dao Xuan, helping him up while his eyes revealed an incredulous look as he shouted towards Qiu Wangyu, “Master, what are you doing? Why did you hurt Daoxuan Shixiong?”
Hidden in the hall, Chengzi sneered, “This ungrateful disciple is disrespectful to me, coveting the position of the leader of the Azure Cloud Sect. His moral character is corrupt and treacherous; he deserves to be executed!”
Lying on the ground, Dao Xuan trembled slightly, his face pale and filled with despair as he looked at the dark hall, seemingly having lost his last glimmer of hope.
Meanwhile, Ten Thousand Swords in One could hardly believe his ears, his mouth agape in confusion. After a moment, he shook his head and shouted, “Master! Have you gone mad?”
“Bold!” A furious shout echoed from within the hall, followed by a surge of black energy that seemed to strike like a venomous snake. Ten Thousand Swords in One had never imagined that his master would turn against him like this, leaving him momentarily stunned.
Fortunately, at this critical moment, Dao Xuan suddenly pushed Ten Thousand Swords in One aside, moving him out of harm's way. Then came a chilling sound like a snake hissing; the spot where Ten Thousand Swords in One had stood was scorched black, the blue bricks shattered.
Ten Thousand Swords in One felt a whirlwind of confusion in his mind, still unable to accept the unbelievable situation before him. However, missing his target seemed to further infuriate Chengzi, whose roar caused the darkness to surge violently as if it were about to erupt.
But just then, Dao Xuan abruptly stepped in front of Ten Thousand Swords in One, coldly gazing at the hall and uttering two words: “Baishi.”
The darkness suddenly fell silent; all the coldness lay coiled like a venomous snake, lurking in the shadows as if ready to strike again. After a moment of seemingly frozen darkness, Chengzi let out a cold laugh and said, “You truly are my good disciple.”

Ten Thousand Swords in One turned pale and took a step forward but was suddenly held back by Dao Xuan. He then heard Dao Xuan whisper beside him, “Junior Brother, you should return to Yuqing Palace. Treat today’s events as if you have neither seen nor heard anything.”
Ten Thousand Swords in One was startled and looked at Dao Xuan, saying, "Senior Brother, what about you?"
Dao Xuan took a deep breath, looked at Qiu Wangyu, and with a slight tremble of his lips said, "As the master’s long-time disciple and the one in charge of Azure Cloud Sect, there are some matters that must be made clear with the master."
Before Ten Thousand Swords in One could say anything else, a sudden force surged forth as Dao Xuan abruptly pushed him away, sending him flying a considerable distance. Then, he turned and stepped into the great hall, accompanied by a low shout, "Go!"
Ten Thousand Swords in One stumbled back. When he turned around again, he found the great hall shrouded in darkness, and Dao Xuan's figure had vanished. He felt somewhat bewildered and couldn't understand what had just happened.
While he was hesitating, a chilling laughter suddenly echoed from within the great hall, followed by a tremendous roar that sounded like a ferocious beast's growl. Along with it came a muffled groan from Senior Brother Dao Xuan, filled with pain, as if he had spat out blood.
Unable to contain himself any longer, Ten Thousand Swords in One turned sharply and stomped his foot. Suddenly, the Dragon Slayer Divine Sword was drawn from its sheath, its emerald blade gleaming brightly as he charged into Qiu Wangyu's great hall.
Upon entering the hall, darkness enveloped him. Immediately ahead, two figures flickered like lightning as they soared up and then crashed down repeatedly with thunderous impacts. Ten Thousand Swords in One's expression changed drastically; he hadn't expected that Dao Xuan had been forced to fight with all his might by the master. Before he could react, a scream pierced through the air as Dao Xuan fell heavily from the sky and rolled several times on the ground.
In the dim light of the sword's glow, Ten Thousand Swords in One suddenly saw a black handprint on Dao Xuan's chest, deeply embedded into flesh and bone with an incredibly sinister aura. It looked somewhat familiar to him. Suddenly, he gasped in disbelief and shouted, "The Xuan Yin Ghost Qi!"
This secret technique of the demonic sect had unexpectedly reappeared within the Azure Cloud Sect, and the one wielding it was none other than Master Chengzi! At that moment, Ten Thousand Swords in One felt as if his entire world had been turned upside down. In that instant, he recalled how he and his four junior brothers had risked their lives to venture deep into the wilderness straight to the Sanctuary. All their efforts now seemed like a joke.
He stared blankly at the shadowy figure and suddenly let out an anguished roar filled with grief. Tears glimmered in his eyes as he shouted loudly, "Master! What have you done?!"
In response came a terrifying cold laugh and an overwhelming shadow that swept toward him. Ten Thousand Swords in One raised his head and howled fiercely. His white robes billowed as he suddenly cast aside all shackles of doubt. His face was pale yet resolute as he thrust his sword forward!
That sword strike was unstoppable!
That sword, never to return!
With a roar of Dragon Roar, the sword light blazed, and the entire dimly lit Qiu Wangyu hall was instantly illuminated by a brilliant Azure Light. The Dragon Slayer Sword blocked the approaching shadow, dispersing the eerie black mist while also lighting up all the darkness within the hall.
Under the radiance, Ten Thousand Swords in One and Dao Xuan simultaneously saw the figure of Chengzi, which had originally been hidden in the dark shadows, both bodies trembling in shock!
They saw that the once ethereal Chengzi Zhenren was now shrouded in darkness for some unknown reason, with a face full of murderous intent. His hair had fallen out, and his features were twisted, making him appear more like a ferocious beast than a human.
Illuminated by this light, Chengzi seemed to have been greatly stimulated, letting out a fierce roar. His figure moved like lightning, suddenly vanishing before their eyes. Moments later, darkness surged forth from all directions.
Dao Xuan suddenly shouted, "Behind your heart!"
Without hesitation, Ten Thousand Swords in One swung his sword backward. A sound like metal clashing rang out sharply. Ten Thousand Swords in One felt a sweetness in his throat as he flew forward, while behind him came a muffled groan and an eerie blue blood sprayed out.
Chengzi reappeared, and upon seeing his wounds seemed to fall into a frenzy. After letting out a furious roar, he crazily launched an attack against Dao Xuan and Ten Thousand Swords in One!
Although Dao Xuan and Ten Thousand Swords in One possessed high cultivation levels, at this moment, Chengzi, having practiced the bizarre techniques of the demonic sect, seemed even stronger than before. He fought against two opponents and still held the upper hand, forcing them to retreat repeatedly. Especially notable was his unpredictable movement technique and the incredibly powerful Xuan Yin Ghost Qi; each strike against Dao Xuan and Ten Thousand Swords in One almost made them spit blood instantly while their flesh sizzled and corroded…
It seemed that the two were about to perish at the hands of their master who had gone mad.
