"Master Zhang, I must trouble you to take action this time," Gu Yu said politely to the elderly man beside him, Zhang Gao.
Zhang Gao nodded slightly, his expression somber and unreadable. As Gu Yu's personal bodyguard, those who knew Gu Yu were familiar with Zhang Gao, but many doubted his abilities. After all, most wealthy individuals had bodyguards who were robust and strong, while Gu Yu's bodyguard had graying hair and a small stature, even shorter than Gu Yu himself. Could this bodyguard really be capable?
Qin Xiaoya did not underestimate Zhang Gao, however. She understood that in Huaxia Martial Arts, there were many experts, and Zhang Gao was indeed a master-level practitioner. Under normal circumstances, Qin Xiaoya would show him great respect.
But at this moment, she had eyes only for Jiang Chen; everyone else was insignificant in her view.
"Uncle Zhang, this Qin Xiaoya is quite concealed in her abilities; she is also a practitioner. You should be cautious; she might have some unorthodox techniques," Gu Xiangzhou reminded as he noticed Qin Xiaoya standing still, seemingly dismissive of Zhang Gao.
"Heh, what does it matter? No unorthodox techniques pose any threat to me," Zhang Gao replied dismissively.
As a Martial Arts Grandmaster, how could he fear a young woman?
Jiang Chen sat quietly in the lounge area, unnoticed amidst the ongoing conflicts. He welcomed the peace and intended to use Qin Xiaoya's presence to intimidate those who did not recognize their own limitations.
"Raise your hand!" A voice suddenly rang in Qin Xiaoya's ear, prompting her to lift her hand quickly.
"Bang!"
As she raised her hand, an invisible force surged forth and struck Zhang Gao squarely in the chest. Though Zhang Gao was a Master of Transformation with keen senses and had sensed the danger, he felt utterly insignificant against such overwhelming power.
"Poof!"
Zhang Gao was sent flying through the air in a parabolic arc, spitting out blood before crashing down and losing consciousness.
The entire scene unfolded so suddenly that most people present, unfamiliar with martial arts, thought they had witnessed something supernatural. Even those like Gu Yu who understood martial arts were left dumbfounded. If someone else had displayed such power, Gu Yu might have accepted it; however, seeing Qin Xiaoya wield such strength was beyond comprehension.
"Qin Xiaoya, what just happened? Do you know the Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms?" Yang Yuxin, closest to Qin Xiaoya, snapped back to reality and grabbed her hand, looking around as if trying to discern where that invisible force had originated.
"It was Xiang Chong Eighteen Palms. Manager Gu, would you like to give it a try?" Qin Xiaoya said with a teasing smile as she turned to Gu Yu.
Gu Yu was so frightened that he quickly retreated into the crowd.
"President Qin, please don't joke around," he hurriedly said. He had seen Zhang Gao's strength; even a leaf falling could injure someone. A martial arts expert like Zhang Gao had been knocked out by Qin Xiaoya's strike—if he were to endure such an attack himself, he would undoubtedly perish due to his high blood pressure.
"Manager Gu, didn't you say you wouldn't go easy on me? I tend to repay grievances tenfold," Qin Xiaoya replied coldly.
"I was just joking! Given the relationship between the Gu Family and the Qin Family, we can sit down and discuss any issues," Gu Yu said with an ingratiating smile, his demeanor shifting faster than turning a page in a book.
"Some matters are better resolved now than sitting down to discuss them later. manager Gu, if you want to settle this, bring out a billion. If you don't have the money, then don't bother talking to me. Just take your son and go back," Qin Xiaoya said coldly.
