The two stone tablets, aside from their differing colors, were fundamentally the same. At the top of each tablet was a circular pattern, with inscriptions below. The character "Ling" that had been clearly visible on the back had now vanished, and the inscriptions on the front, which had been obscured by flashes of light before, were even harder to discern now. Only some jumbled marks and rough cracks left by the erosion of time remained. After studying the tablets for two hours without any significant findings, an instinct told him that there was a crucial connection between the two stones, though he had yet to uncover it.
“Ling… Tai.” Mo Wen paced back and forth, repeatedly pondering the two characters he had once seen clearly. Although more characters had appeared on his black stone tablet, he had been too exhausted at the time to pay attention, and now he could only remember these two. The tablets and that beam of light had guided him here; surely the deceased man had experienced something similar. He took out the storage pouch left behind by the man and carefully examined its contents. Everything was well-preserved, confirming to Mo Wen that the mist only affected living beings. At this thought, he inhaled sharply; Xiao Hei was still in the Square Inch World. After sensing this, he let out a sigh of relief and continued to sort through the items left by the man. Aside from some ancient pills and various materials, he found nothing related to the man's identity or Bei Yin Mountain.
“Could it be that my method of opening it is wrong?” With this thought in mind, Mo Wen began to manipulate the two stone tablets. Closing his eyes to reflect on everything that had happened before, he wondered if he had missed something.
“Hm?” Sensing movement from the tablets, Mo Wen opened his eyes. “Haha! It really is my method that’s wrong!” The two tablets, which had been placed upside down on the stone, began to emit a faint glow that gradually intensified as they drew closer together as if they were merging into one entity. Watching this unfold, Mo Wen did not step forward to intervene but instead observed intently. At the moment they touched, a brilliant light erupted; it was a wondrous sight—bright yet not blinding—allowing Mo Wen to see everything happening between the two tablets. They began to fuse and gradually rose into the air, stopping at a height of about twenty feet above ground where they completed their merging.
In mid-air, the tablets began to disintegrate amidst the glow; fragments started to fall away. Mo Wen’s eyes were fixed on the disintegrating tablets as previously unclear inscriptions began to shine brightly. The disintegration occurred according to each character being formed into individual stone seals that continuously rearranged themselves. Mo Wen strained to recognize each character on these seals.
“Tai Chi Xuantian Formation!” Upon deciphering these words, Mo Wen's breath quickened. He hadn’t felt such excitement even when obtaining the Square Inch World; this was an ancient formation reputedly ranked among the top ten in ancient times. When Old Lu explained Symbol Arrays to him, he had mentioned this formation with eyes full of longing. Unfortunately, it had been lost since ancient times; never did he expect to encounter it here today. Just based on these five words alone, this adventure would be worth it all.
