A classmate wearing glasses stood up, gathering his courage to say, "Senior Ao Bing, it's not that we don't believe you; it's just that this morning, a lot of doubts suddenly appeared online. Some even released so-called 'internal documents' claiming that the whole incident is a conspiracy by the Dragon Tribe."
Ao Bing frowned, "What internal documents?"
The classmate took out his phone, opened a webpage, and handed it to Ao Bing. Nezha and Ao Bing leaned in to take a look, their expressions immediately darkening—on the webpage was an article titled "Dragon Tribe Conspiracy: Using the 'Demon Orb' to Control the Human World," complete with various so-called "evidence," including doctored photos and fabricated dialogue records.
"This... this is pure slander!" Nezha trembled with anger. "Who wrote this garbage article?"
Ao Bing carefully examined the signature at the bottom of the article: "Anonymous. But the writing style seems familiar... like Shen Gongbao."
Nezha gasped, "Shen Gongbao? Impossible! His soul has already been purified!"
Ao Bing shook his head, "Maybe it's not him directly, but rather his followers? Or... someone is trying to exploit the conflict between us?"
Just as they were pondering this, the classroom door was pushed open again, and the principal hurried in.
The principal entered the classroom with a serious expression. "Nezha, Ao Bing, please come to my office."
Nezha and Ao Bing exchanged glances and silently followed the principal out of the classroom. In the hallway, all three remained silent, the atmosphere heavy. It wasn't until they entered the principal's office and closed the door that he let out a long sigh.
"I'm sorry; I didn't expect things to turn out like this," the principal said wearily. "This morning, major media outlets suddenly published reports questioning you both. The school's phone has been ringing off the hook; some parents are demanding that we revoke your special treatment, and there are even calls for your expulsion."
"This is absurd!" Nezha couldn't help but exclaim. "Yesterday we were heroes; today we're labeled as conspirators?"
Ao Bing remained calm. "Principal, who do you think is behind this?"
The principal shook his head helplessly. "I don't know. But one thing is strange—those doubts appeared too suddenly and too uniformly, as if it were an organized effort."
Just then, there was a knock on the office door, and Aunt Taiyi entered with a document in hand. "Principal, I've found something."
Aunt Taiyi placed the document on the desk. "All the IP addresses of these questioning articles come from the same place—the Li Yang Group."
"Li Yang Group?" Nezha and Ao Bing exclaimed in unison.
Ao Bing immediately understood. "Li Yang Sect! The remnants of Lady Shiji! They have an organization in the human world!"
Nezha clenched his fists. "Damn it! I knew it wasn't that simple!"
Aunt Taiyi nodded. "Not only that, but the Li Yang Group has recently made a large acquisition of school shares and has become the second-largest shareholder. They are pressuring the board to make a statement."
The principal's expression grew complex. "Children, I'm very sorry. As your principal, I should protect you, but now things are complicated, and I must consider the overall interests of the school."
Nezha's face darkened. "Are you saying we have to be sacrificed to protect the school?"
The principal did not answer directly, but his expression said it all. Ao Bing took a deep breath. "I understand, Principal. This isn't your fault."
Aunt Taiyi's eyes flashed with anger. "But that's not fair! These two children saved the world, yet they have to bear such unjust accusations!"
The principal leaned helplessly against the back of his chair. "I agree that it's unfair, but unless we can prove that those articles are slanderous, there's nothing we can do."
