"That's what responsibility is, Nezha," Ao Bing said softly. "When you are recognized by the public as a 'hero,' you no longer belong solely to yourself. Every word and action of yours will impact many people."
Nezha pondered Ao Bing's words seriously. "Are you saying we now bear a greater responsibility?"
Ao Bing nodded. "In a way, yes. But at the same time, we also have greater influence. Think about it—if we can use that influence to do good, like breaking the human prejudice against the Dragon Tribe or changing people's views on the Demon Orb, wouldn't that be meaningful?"
Nezha's eyes lit up. "You're right! We can share our experiences to tell everyone not to define a person by labels; everyone has the right to choose their own destiny!"
Ao Bing smiled with relief. "It seems you've matured more than I imagined."
Nezha raised an eyebrow proudly. "Of course! After all, I am the Saving the World Hero!"
Ao Bing shook his head with amusement. "You're still that arrogant Nezha."
The two exchanged smiles, and despite their fatigue, their eyes were filled with anticipation for the future.
The next morning, Nezha and Ao Bing woke up early, ready to face their first day of classes after returning to school. As they opened the dormitory door, they were surprised to find the corridor empty—what had been a bustling scene just yesterday felt eerily quiet now.
"What’s going on?" Nezha asked in confusion. "Where are all those people from yesterday?"
Ao Bing also felt puzzled. "Maybe the school has implemented some measures?"
As they walked toward the classroom with questions in mind, they encountered a few classmates. Strangely, instead of admiration in their gazes, these classmates lowered their heads and hurried past them, as if intentionally avoiding them.
"Ao Bing, I have a bad feeling," Nezha said in a hushed voice. "The atmosphere is so different from yesterday."
Ao Bing nodded, his expression serious. "Something does feel off. Let’s check the classroom."
When they reached the classroom door, just as Nezha and Ao Bing were about to push it open, they heard heated discussions from inside:
"Do you think that 'Child of the Demon Sphere' really saved the world?"
"I doubt it; it might be a scheme orchestrated by the Dragon Tribe to make humans accept the Demon Orb!"
"Exactly! The Dragon Tribe has always been mysterious; who knows if what they say is true?"
"I heard that the Demon Orb is actually a destructive weapon aimed specifically at the Dragon Tribe. If the Dragon Tribe wants to control it, they must have ulterior motives!"
Nezha's face darkened upon hearing these words. Ao Bing gently squeezed his hand and whispered, "Don’t act impulsively; let’s listen to what they’re saying."
They continued to eavesdrop as the discussions grew more intense:
"I think the principal was bribed; that's why those two get such special treatment!"
"Right! Why do they get to stay in special dorms? Why do they receive full scholarships?"
"I see that so-called 'Crown Prince' is not simple. Perhaps they are all in cahoots, trying to use the school for some underhanded dealings!"
Nezha could no longer hold back. He forcefully pushed the door open and strode into the classroom. "What are you all talking about?"
The classroom fell silent immediately, everyone staring in shock at Nezha and Ao Bing at the doorway. Nezha, filled with anger, scanned the room. "Is there something you can't say to our faces? What kind of skill is it to gossip behind our backs?"
Ao Bing followed him in, but he was much calmer than Nezha. "Classmates, I understand that you may have doubts about us, but facts are facts. We did defeat Lady Shiji and protected the Dragon Tribe and humanity. If you have any questions, feel free to ask us directly instead of speculating behind our backs."
