Ao Bing took the crystal and examined it closely. "This isn't just an ordinary crystal; it's an energy vessel that can store and transmit the energy of the Dragon Tribe. With it, my avatar can maintain its presence in the human realm for a longer time."
Nezha's eyes lit up. "Does that mean you can participate in the competition with me through your avatar?"
Ao Bing nodded, a rare smile spreading across his face. "Yes, even though it's just an avatar, at least we can spend these three days together."
Excitedly, Nezha hugged Ao Bing (even though his arms passed through Ao Bing's body) and then opened the note to read the contents carefully:
"Winter Couple Challenge Rules:
1. Teams of two must complete a series of challenge tasks;
2. Each completed task earns corresponding points;
3. The top three couples with the highest points will receive generous prizes;
4. Special note: The highest award in this competition is 'Eternal Love,' which grants the winner a chance to make a wish."
After reading the rules, Nezha looked up at Ao Bing. "'Eternal Love'? A chance to make a wish? What does that mean?"
Ao Bing pondered for a moment. "It sounds less like an ordinary school event and more like a contest among cultivators. Taiyi Senior arranged for us to participate, so there must be a purpose behind it."
"You mean if we win the competition and obtain the 'Eternal Love' award, we can make a wish?" Nezha asked excitedly. "Then we could wish for you to return to the human realm or for me to go to the Dragon Palace, so we wouldn't have to be apart!"
Ao Bing frowned slightly. "Things may not be that simple. The fulfillment of wishes usually comes with costs and limitations; it can't completely defy the laws of nature. But regardless, this is an opportunity worth trying."
Nezha clenched his fists, determination shining in his eyes. "We have to win! No matter what challenges we face, we can overcome them together!"
Ao Bing smiled gently and reached out to stroke Nezha's cheek, but his hand passed through Nezha's body. This action left both of them feeling a twinge of disappointment, quickly replaced by a new hope.
"According to Taiyi Senior's instructions," Ao Bing said, "I need to combine this crystal with the one I am wearing, so my avatar can remain solid for three days."
Taking the crystal, Ao Bing brought it close to the one on his chest. With a flash of blue light, the two crystals fused into one, and Ao Bing's avatar instantly became more solid, nearly indistinguishable from an illusion.
"How does it feel?" Nezha asked nervously.
Ao Bing moved his wrist and was thrilled to discover he could touch physical objects now. "It's amazing! I feel almost like my true self, though my power is somewhat diminished."
Excitedly, Nezha reached out his hand to touch Ao Bing's arm. This time, his hand did not pass through; instead, he felt Ao Bing's warmth and texture. Although it was a bit colder than the real Ao Bing, this tangible sensation nearly brought Nezha to tears.
"This is wonderful," Nezha choked out, pulling Ao Bing into an embrace. "I can finally hold you, even if it's just for three days; it's worth it."
Ao Bing gently returned the embrace, a tender smile on his face. "Three days may be short, but for us, it's already precious enough. Let's cherish every moment."
Under the moonlight, the two held each other tightly, as if pouring all their longing and love into that embrace.
