“Where is Yue Shan? Yue Shan is located to the east of Zh City, all the way until you can’t walk anymore. There lies Yue Mountain Village, nestled against the foothills of Changbai Mountain, and the scenery there is simply breathtaking! Why is it called Yue Shan? The name has a significant origin! Every full moon night, a large part of the moon seems to smash a huge pit into the mountain peak. This pit grows larger over time until it suddenly opens up into a hole as big as the moon! This hole is quite peculiar; when sunlight shines on it, it appears dark and opaque, not letting any light through, and nothing can be seen. But whenever the moon rises, it seems as if this hole is instantly activated, becoming crystal clear and incredibly beautiful!
Looking down from the mouth of the hole, it seems to be wrapped in a thin layer of translucent glass-like material known as Glass Shell. The core inside is also white and translucent, resembling a young girl’s face! In mid-air, there are countless adorable round creatures flying around like watermelon bugs. Upon closer inspection, their round wings are connected by green electric currents that crackle softly, resembling electricity. Anyone who has seen them cannot explain this strange phenomenon.
As a result, the local government organized an elite expedition team composed of writers, geologists, archaeologists, and biologists to investigate. And guess what happened? This expedition team disappeared without a trace on the second day after arriving at Yue Shan! At that time, this shocked the entire academic community. Scholars and experts spontaneously organized to search for them at Yue Shan. Just think about it; while one group was still missing, another wave of people rushed in. The local government refused to let anyone go up the mountain for fear of safety incidents! Ultimately, after much negotiation, the local government collaborated with several nearby villages and dispatched more than ten Defense Teams and militia groups, totaling over two hundred people—equivalent to half of the local population at that time—to conduct searches. The large group searched for two nights straight. Aside from finding the tents where the scholars camped on their first night at the foot of the mountain, they found nothing else.
As time dragged on, everyone knew deep down that there was no hope left. Even if those people had miraculously survived at that time, enduring months without food or water would be impossible—not even wild men could withstand it! Moreover, the immense financial deficit burdened the local government, which was eager to call off the search. As whispers began to fade and public interest gradually waned over time, this matter slowly slipped from people’s minds… Thus, due to various reasons, this incident was left unresolved. However, in the hearts of the older generation in Yue Shan, this remained an insurmountable hurdle. There were even rumors that Yue Shan was an ominous place that devoured people—those from Yue Shan could not leave, and outsiders dared not enter again. I remember when I was part of the Defense Team; I stayed there for over forty years before finally leaving Yue Shan for good…”
At that moment, my junior brother and I were deeply engrossed in meteorite research and had gathered quite a bit of information. Upon hearing about that large moon-sized pit from the old man and then about the transparent Glass Shell inside it along with those green spherical entities that emitted electricity, we immediately thought this could very well be a rare Moon Meteorite crater—the green spherical entities being Chang'e's tears—Moon Meteorites.
So regardless of what else the old man rambled on about afterward, my junior brother and I didn’t hear a word. We settled our bill and returned to our hotel to pack our things. Finally waiting until dawn, we hired a car and rushed straight to Yue Shan.
The journey was filled with various troubles but eventually led us to Yue Shan that night. The wind howled fiercely at the mountain top; it sounded like someone snoring loudly and sent chills down our spines. We braved the cold wind searching for nearly two hours at the summit but found nothing—not even a hint of that moon-sized pit.
At that time, my junior brother and I were still young and lacked patience; we thought we had likely been deceived by that old man. Cursing under our breath, we began our descent down the mountain. Unexpectedly, halfway down, we encountered two individuals who looked quite similar to us—dressed in black clothing with hoods pulled low over their heads—but judging by their figures, they appeared to be two adult men hurrying up the mountain.
My junior brother and I exchanged glances; we both found it strange that at this late hour there would be anyone else wandering around this desolate mountain range. Could they also be searching for Moon Meteorites?
Never mind! We decided to quietly follow them to see what they were up to.
These two individuals mirrored our movements closely; once they reached the summit, they began searching intently in the area closest to where the moon would rise. My junior brother and I felt delighted; these two were indeed also here for meteorites! We planned to observe their methods so we could swoop in like mantises catching cicadas while remaining hidden ourselves.
What we didn't expect was that these two individuals were far more patient than we were. In this tiny patch of land, they stood there for four hours, and I was so cold that my snot had frozen into icicles! Just as we were about to give up, one of them suddenly raised a hand and pointed at the moon, as if saying something. However, the wind was too loud, and my junior brother and I were too far away to hear anything. But in the next moment, these two people made a crazy move—they both jumped towards the moon?!
What the hell? Do you think you’re Chang'e, trying to fly to the moon?!
Even more unexpectedly, after that historic leap, these two individuals actually vanished right before my junior brother and me!
Of course, we weren’t foolish enough to think they really flew to the moon; instead, we worried that these idiots might be so frustrated from not finding the meteorite that they jumped off a cliff. This Yue Mountain isn't lower than Changbai Mountain; it's at least fifteen hundred meters high. A fall from that height would leave them shattered beyond recognition.
When we hurried over to check, it turned out this wasn’t a cliff at all; we were still quite far from the edge! The area within three hundred meters was all flat ground—no one could jump three hundred meters!
My junior brother and I exchanged glances, both instinctively looking at the moon, which seemed so close it felt within reach. Once we ruled out all possibilities, the only remaining possibility must be the truth—they had found a passage to the Moon Meteorite pit that we hadn’t discovered and had successfully left us behind.
The incident with Yue Mountain left a deep impression on both my junior brother and me. When it flashed through my mind again, it was like being struck by lightning; I suddenly understood why my junior brother speculated that the dark red particles on the locator were "meteorites."
A surface that appeared rough and uneven with various depths of transparent dissolution pits, yet weighed several times more than an ordinary stone of the same size, along with a dark red spherical particle that could exert some kind of mutual attraction with bronze... My heart began to race uncontrollably. Could this be the Moon Meteorite that we had worked so hard to find but never encountered?
The first recorded Moon Meteorite in history was discovered in 1981 in Antarctica, known as Allan Hills 81005. If those dark red particles in the two locators are indeed Moon Meteorites, then my goodness, this discovery would predate humanity's earliest records by nearly two thousand two hundred years!
