The two continued their casual conversation, the atmosphere much more relaxed than before. Ao Bing spoke about his hobbies—classical music and poetry—while Nezha enthusiastically shared amusing stories from the soccer field. They discovered that, despite their vastly different lifestyles, the conversation was not as difficult as they had imagined. 0

"What does your father do?" Nezha asked casually, pointing at the framed photo on Ao Bing's bedside table. 0

Ao Bing's expression suddenly became complicated. "He... manages the family business. What about you?" 0

Nezha, oblivious to the subtle shift in Ao Bing's emotions, replied, "My dad is a high school teacher, the super strict kind. My mom works in administration at a company. Just an ordinary family, nothing special." 0

Ao Bing nodded, seemingly uninterested in discussing this topic further. He glanced at the clock; it was almost eleven. "It's getting late; we should rest." 0

"Yeah, you're right." Nezha stood up and stretched. "I'll go take a shower first." 0

On this birthday night, the atmosphere between them seemed to have undergone a subtle change. The initial sharp opposition quietly transformed into a strange harmony. 0

However, peace did not last long. The next morning, Nezha slept in until after nine and found that Ao Bing had already left for class when he got up. He yawned and picked up his phone, discovering several unread messages—his friends from the Magic City University Soccer Team inviting him to a gathering that night. 0

"Awesome!" Nezha exclaimed excitedly, jumping up and replying to the messages. It was a rare opportunity to unwind and temporarily escape the confines of the dormitory. 0

After his afternoon classes ended, Nezha hurried back to his dorm to change clothes, planning to spruce himself up before heading out. As he opened the dorm door, he found Ao Bing sitting at his desk, poring over a thick ancient text. 0

"Hey, Ice Block Face," Nezha said cheerfully, forgetting for a moment that he shouldn't use that nickname. "There's a party tonight; do you want to join?" 0

Ao Bing looked up with a slight frown. "No thanks, I have a paper to write. And please don’t call me 'Ice Block Face.'" 0

"Alright, alright, Ao Bing," Nezha exaggeratedly emphasized Ao Bing's name. "If you’re not coming, I’ll just go have fun by myself." 0

He walked over to the wardrobe, rummaging through his clothes, and finally settled on a bright red T-shirt and a pair of ripped jeans. Just as he was about to close the wardrobe door, an idea struck him, and he pulled out a small speaker from the corner. 0

"Are you really bringing a speaker?" Ao Bing asked, a hint of caution in his voice. 0

"Of course! It’s a party; there has to be music," Nezha replied nonchalantly, then suddenly remembered something. "Oh right, I need to test if the speaker still works." 0

Before Ao Bing could react, Nezha pressed the play button. Instantly, deafening heavy metal music filled the entire dormitory. Ao Bing frowned and tried to cover his ears, but it was clearly ineffective. 0

"Nezha!" Ao Bing raised his voice, trying to make himself heard over the music. "We agreed not to play loud music in the dorm!" 0

"Don’t be so uptight; it’s just a test!" Nezha laughed, showing no intention of turning it off. Instead, he started swaying to the rhythm. "This song 'Hellfire' is awesome; you should listen!" 0

Ao Bing stood up and walked over to Nezha. "Please turn off the music immediately; I need a quiet environment to study." 0

Nezha pouted and pretended not to hear him, continuing to dance. Ao Bing's expression grew darker as he took a deep breath and reached for the speaker. 0

"Hey!" Nezha grabbed Ao Bing's wrist. "Don’t touch my stuff!" 0

"We have an agreement," Ao Bing said calmly but firmly. "You’re breaking the rules." 0

"Rules again!" Nezha suddenly released Ao Bing’s hand, his tone dripping with disdain. "Can’t you just relax? Living by rules all day is so boring!" 0

"It was you who broke the agreement first." Ao Bing stepped back, the warmth in his eyes vanished, replaced by a sense of detachment. "If you want freedom and don't wish to be constrained, why did you agree to our rules?" 0

"Because—" Nezha was momentarily at a loss for words. He couldn't refute Ao Bing's logic, which only made him more frustrated. "Forget it, it's pointless to talk to you! Anyway, I'm leaving soon; what's the big deal about enduring this for a little while?" 0
