Mo Wen sat cross-legged on a stone by the river. Ever since his last battle with Toe Bear, he had reached the pinnacle of the Refining Qi Realm. Now, he needed to confirm it once more. Although Old Lu had said he was complete, he still felt something was missing. Calming his mind, he began to circulate his Kung Fu. 0

Suddenly, Old Lu opened his eyes by the fire pit and vanished from sight. Looking at the child sitting on the stone, a look of surprise crossed his face. He had been awakened by a restless energy; though faint, it indicated that something was amiss. Mo Wen sat there, entering a wondrous realm where he felt as if he were swimming in warm water, an indescribable comfort enveloping him. Outside, Lingqi continuously flowed into his body, which was what had startled Old Lu. 0

A sound emanated from within his Dan Tian as the boundaries between the left and right cauldrons broke down, merging into one. The eighteen streams of energy also dispersed into a single mass, with the only difference being that the area of the Dan Tian had doubled. The refined Lingqi surged into the Dan Tian, causing the single mass of energy within to grow larger. 0

Mo Wen emerged from that extraordinary sensation, feeling significantly stronger. He circulated his Kung Fu again to check his body and nearly cried out in joy upon discovering its condition. Turning around, he found Old Lu standing beside him. 0

"Old Lu, I think I might have ruined my training..." 0

"The Old Man already knows; we’ll talk about it later." 0

... 0

“How do you feel?” Old Lu squinted at Mo Wen, who had returned looking dejected and convinced that he had failed in refining Qi. 0

“I feel stronger than before.” 0

“How strong are we talking?” 0

“If I encounter that bear again, I could chase it down and fight.” 0

“Then the changes within your body are a good thing.” 0

“But... I’ve already mastered Nine Cauldrons Nine Tripods; now it’s all changed...” Mo Wen still wore a bitter expression. On one hand, he was troubled by the changes in his Dan Tian; on the other hand, he had technically won the bet with Old Lu but felt like he had lost nonetheless. Ultimately, it was because he no longer possessed Nine Cauldrons Nine Tripods. 0

“Perhaps your current situation is even more powerful than Nine Cauldrons Nine Tripods.” 0

“Old Lu, didn’t you say that Nine Cauldrons Nine Tripods is the most powerful thing you know?” 0

“That’s what I know,” Old Lu replied. “But looking at your situation, it doesn’t seem like you’ve ruined your training; however, why this is happening remains unclear to me.” 0

“You’re so knowledgeable; is there really something you don’t know?” 0

“Of course! Although I know more than most, I can’t possibly know everything in this world. Even those stronger than me can’t achieve that.” While Old Lu speculated about Mo Wen’s transformation, he dared not confirm anything outright; even if he did have an answer, he couldn’t share it with him. “What’s certain is that you’ve become stronger than before; don’t overthink it. It’s a fact you must accept. Besides, even if you can’t become a master, you can still become a renowned Cook.” 0

The old man and the young boy began a new round of banter about cooking, which temporarily distracted Mo Wen from his thoughts of failure in cultivation. 0

In the following days, Mo Wen repeatedly practiced Kung Fu, but his Dan Tian showed no further changes and no longer absorbed refined energy. This led him to reaffirm his belief that he had failed. 0

As a result, he became increasingly listless. 0
