“Old Man has quite a few exceptional items that would be of great interest to you!” Old Lu shot a knowing glance at Mo Wen. 0

Mo Wen pretended to ponder seriously for a moment before replying, “You have a point. Alright, I’ll give it to you, but…” 0

“But what?” Old Lu asked impatiently, noticing Mo Wen’s hesitation. 0

“I can write down the secret recipe for making roasted meat for you, but it seems there’s no formula for this boxing technique; I can only demonstrate it.” 0

“A demonstration works too.” 0

In the end, the two happily completed their transaction. Mo Wen taught Old Lu how to make Beggar's Chicken and roast meat, demonstrated the boxing technique, and even shared the phrase that triggered his memory of the technique. 0

Having obtained what he wanted, Old Lu vanished, presumably to find a quiet place to ponder. 0

In the following days, an old man and a young boy practiced boxing in the woods. Mo Wen no longer ventured into the mountains to hunt Demon Beasts; instead, he sat on a large rock at Gourd Mouth, lost in thought while watching Dahe. Old Lu quickly lost interest in the boxing technique; given his temperament, he couldn’t be patient enough to practice such a set of moves and instead urged Mo Wen to brainstorm new dishes. 0

A month passed in the blink of an eye. Mo Wen’s Taiyi Nerve was nearing completion and had likely reached the so-called Nine Cauldrons Nine Tripods stage. He felt that the nine spheres of energy forming in his left and right dantian were becoming increasingly full and balanced, indicating that his Refining Qi Realm was about to be completed. After inspecting him, Old Lu confirmed, “Your Refining Qi Realm is nearly perfect, but you still need a bit more effort. The Old Man sees that your mindset has improved recently; you shouldn’t experience any instability now.” 0

In the days that followed, a child could be seen running through the mountains with a Butcher Knife, chasing after Demon Beasts. This child was none other than Mo Wen. Although the eighteen spheres of energy in his dantian were full, he felt his body was still absorbing energy at a slow pace. According to Old Lu, this meant he had not yet reached perfection and needed to continue consolidating his progress. 0

The nearby Demon Beasts no longer satisfied his need for combat. After discussing with Old Lu, he decided to venture deeper into the mountains in search of stronger Demon Beasts to fight. Mo Wen darted through the woods, eager to find the Demon Beast Old Lu had mentioned, finish the battle, and return before nightfall. After all, once night fell in these woods, it became the domain of Chimeras. He knew little about Chimeras; all Old Lu had told him was that the Chimeras in this forest were beyond his current capabilities. 0

As he approached a cave, Mo Wen tossed a stone inside. Soon after, he heard a thudding sound from within—the cave housed a Toe Bear. Most of the time, Toe Bears slept inside their caves; if disturbed during their slumber, their rage would peak. Normally, a Toe Bear’s combat power equated to that of someone at the peak of Refining Spirit Realm; however, in an enraged state, its power could reach mid-Heavenly Unity Realm levels—on par with Mo Wen himself. If any other martial artist at mid-Heavenly Unity Realm encountered an enraged Toe Bear, they would likely flee. 0

Mo Wen didn’t expect to kill this Toe Bear but aimed merely to ensure his own survival; as for how the battle would unfold—who could say? The Toe Bear emerged from its cave and saw Mo Wen disturbing its sleep; it swiped down with its massive paw. Seeing the paw coming down towards him, Mo Wen could only dodge quickly. 0
