Chen Jie Li, Chen Ran, Zhou Zhi, Zhou Hongmeng, and others were present. Jiang Chen recognized some of them, but there were many he did not know. Among them was a particularly striking middle-aged couple whose faces were dark with anger.
"Are you the one who injured my son yesterday?" The couple approached Jiang Chen, their eyes fixed on Lin Yin.
These two were the parents of Young Master Qian, prominent figures in Dao City. They had even contributed ten million to the Martial Arts Arena Tournament. When Manager Qian saw his son in the hospital yesterday with several broken ribs, he was heartbroken. Since the incident occurred at the Martial Arts Hall, he sought out Chen Jie Li, who promised to help him seek justice. Thus, when Lin Yin arrived tonight, it was only natural that she was confronted.
"It was me," Lin Yin said with a smile, openly admitting her actions.
"You hurt my son. How do you think I should deal with you?" Manager Qian sneered.
"What do you want to do?" Lin Yin replied with a grin. She was unafraid of trouble and had learned from Jiang Chen's calm demeanor.
"Ha! Apologize to my son and pay fifty million as compensation. Then we can consider this matter settled. Otherwise, I will make sure you end up like my son," Manager Qian said in a low voice.
"Your son should apologize to me instead. He provoked me repeatedly; I merely kicked him once as a courtesy. As for compensation, I won’t ask for much—just ten million will suffice," Lin Yin said with an easy smile, clearly unconcerned by Manager Qian's threats.
The couple's faces twisted in anger.
"Miss Lin, do you really think I won't dare to act against you?" Manager Qian shouted angrily. A mere girl like her dared to be so bold and confrontational? He was a big player in the business world and had seen his share of storms; when did a twenty-year-old girl feel free to jump around in front of him?
"If you want to join your son in the hospital, I can certainly arrange that," Lin Yin said fearlessly as she stepped forward.
She had come here tonight specifically to confront them, so there was no need for her to hold back. With each step she took, an aura surged forth like a wave, causing Manager Qian and his wife to change color and instinctively take a step back.
"You... you're too arrogant! This is the Martial Arts Arena Tournament tonight; do you think you're the only one skilled here?" Manager Qian retorted angrily, though he felt a flicker of fear at the thought of Lin Yin actually attacking him. After all, she had easily defeated several armed thugs before; her strength was undoubtedly formidable.
"Manager Qian, let's wait until after the Martial Arts Arena Tournament concludes before discussing this matter further. My distinguished guest is about to arrive; if you create a scene here and disturb them, it won't be good," Chen Jie Li interjected diplomatically.
"Then let’s heed President Chen’s advice," Manager Qian nodded reluctantly.
"President Chen, there’s no need for further discussion. If they are dissatisfied, we can resolve this right now," Lin Yin insisted.
"Miss Lin, don’t be ungrateful. Although we are martial artists, not everything can be solved with force. You injured Manager Qian’s son; this is unreasonable both emotionally and logically. An apology and compensation are warranted," Chen Jie Li said angrily. Just two nights ago at Yan Gui Tower, Lin Yin had been boastful; now she remained unrepentant in front of so many skilled individuals present tonight.
