Park Bucheng stood by the window, a cold smile playing at the corners of his mouth. His plan was proceeding as expected—using Kim Ji Soo, the undercover agent, to relay false information and lead the prosecution on a wild goose chase at Incheon Port.
"Boss, we have new intel." Zhao Yuhang pushed the door open, his expression serious. "The prosecution is making big moves; Han Mi Na got a severe reprimand from her superiors."
Park Bucheng turned around, a glint of interest in his eyes. "How is she reacting?"
"According to our informant, Han Mi Na was furious and smashed a chair in her office, vowing to do whatever it takes to take us down." Zhao Yuhang paused, lowering his voice. "Moreover, she has requested special operational authority from her superiors."
Li Zhenghao frowned. "What kind of special operational authority?"
"Asset freezing and a complete lockdown," Park Bucheng interjected sharply, his gaze as keen as a blade. "Han Mi Na is aiming to cut off our resources at the root."
Just then, Park Bucheng's phone rang unexpectedly. He glanced at the caller ID, his brow furrowing slightly before he answered.
"Hello, boss." The frantic voice of the finance manager came through the line. "We have a serious problem! All our accounts have been frozen!"
Park Bucheng's expression remained unchanged. "All of them?"
"Yes, every account within Taiji Nation! Even the backup accounts are frozen!" The finance manager's voice trembled. "Now we can't even pay our guys!"
Park Bucheng fell silent for a moment before hanging up. He turned to Li Zhenghao and Zhao Yuhang. "It's begun. The prosecution has frozen all our accounts."
Li Zhenghao's face paled. "Damn it! What are we going to do now? How can we operate without money?"
Just as Park Bucheng was about to respond, the office door burst open again. A subordinate rushed in, panic evident on his face. "Boss, it's bad! The police have surrounded our Gang Stronghold!"
"Which Gang Stronghold?" Park Bucheng narrowed his eyes.
"West District Headquarters! At least fifty police cars, fully armed!" One of the subordinates gasped, "They say they're here to search for illegal weapons and drugs!"
Li Zhenghao slammed his hand on the table, cursing angrily, "These bastards! How dare they raid our stronghold?"
Park Bucheng, however, remained unusually calm. He walked to the window and peered through the slats of the blinds, spotting flashing police lights in the distance.
"It seems Han Mi Na is determined to eliminate us this time," he turned to face everyone, his voice low and resolute. "Notify all core members to activate the emergency plan immediately."
Zhao Yuhang quickly took out his phone and began sending encrypted messages. Li Zhenghao paced anxiously, "Boss, we need to evacuate quickly. This place will be surrounded soon."
Park Bucheng shook his head. "No, we can't retreat in a panic. That would only give the prosecution more leverage against us." He walked over to the safe, entered a password, and retrieved a black document bag. "What we need is an orderly transfer."
Just then, the sound of police sirens grew louder in the distance. Park Bucheng glanced at his watch. "Time is running out. Li Zhenghao, take a team through the underground passage to point B. Zhao Yuhang, you are responsible for destroying all sensitive documents."
"What about you, boss?" Li Zhenghao asked with concern.
Park Bucheng's lips curled into a mysterious smile. "I have my own arrangements."
Ten minutes later, the blaring of police sirens was deafening as numerous officers surrounded the building where Park Bucheng was located. Han Mi Na stood beside the command vehicle, determination etched on her face.
"This time I will catch you, Park Bucheng," she gritted her teeth and commanded into the radio, "All units be advised, the target is extremely dangerous. Report immediately upon sighting Park Bucheng; do not act recklessly!"
The officers surged into the building like a tide, beginning their search floor by floor. However, when they burst into Park Bucheng's office, they found nothing but chaos—ashes from burned documents, an open safe, and a cup of coffee still steaming.
"Where is he?" Han Mi Na stormed into the office, surveying her surroundings with fury. "Damn it, where did he go?"
At that moment, a police officer rushed in. "Captain, we've spotted a suspicious figure on the rooftop!"
Han Mi Na immediately led her team to the rooftop. As she pushed open the door to the terrace, she saw Park Bucheng standing at the edge, his back to her, seemingly admiring the night sky over the city.
"Park Bucheng! You're surrounded!" Han Mi Na raised her gun. "Put your hands on your head and crouch down!"
Park Bucheng slowly turned around, a cryptic smile on his face. "Prosecutor Han, long time no see."
"Cut the crap!" Han Mi Na snapped, "You have nowhere to run! All your accounts are frozen, and every gang stronghold has been locked down. Your empire is collapsing!"
Park Bucheng chuckled softly. "Is that so?" He took a step forward, causing Han Mi Na and the officers to tense up. "Then why can't you catch me?"
Before she could respond, he suddenly leaped off the rooftop!
"No!" Han Mi Na rushed to the edge and looked down, only to see an abyss of darkness below. Park Bucheng seemed to have vanished into thin air.
"This is impossible!" she muttered in disbelief. "This building is at least twenty stories high!"
Meanwhile, in a small alley behind the building, Park Bucheng landed lightly on his feet like a feather. He brushed off the dust from his clothes, a smug smile playing on his lips.
"Graceful Wave Steps, truly lives up to its name," he murmured to himself before swiftly blending into the night.
Two hours later, Park Bucheng appeared at a secret gang stronghold of the Tai Chi Gang. It was an ordinary house located in the suburbs of Seoul, unremarkable on the outside but one of the most discreet safe houses for gangsters.
Li Zhenghao and several core members were already waiting there. Seeing Park Bucheng arrive unharmed, Li Zhenghao let out a sigh of relief. "Boss, it's great to see you safe! We were all worried sick."
Park Bucheng took off his coat and sat down on the sofa. "What's the situation?"
"Not very optimistic," Li Zhenghao said with a grim expression. "The prosecutor's office is serious this time. They've not only frozen all our known accounts but also sealed off most of our strongholds in Seoul. The brothers are hiding in various safe houses, waiting for orders."
Park Bucheng nodded, "What about the casualties?"
"It's not too bad. Thanks to the boss's early warning, most of the brothers managed to retreat safely. Only a few of our guys at the West District Headquarters were caught, but they don't have any important information," Li Zhenghao replied.
Park Bucheng pondered for a moment, "What about our funds?"
Li Zhenghao's expression turned troubled, "That's the biggest issue. Our liquid assets are almost entirely frozen. If we can't resolve the funding problem in the short term, it will be difficult for the organization to operate."
Park Bucheng stood up and walked to the window, pulling it open slightly to gaze into the night outside. "It seems Han Mi Na is trying to cut off our economic lifeline."
Just then, the doorbell rang. Everyone immediately became alert, drawing their weapons. Li Zhenghao signaled for one of his men to check the surveillance.
"It's Li Meili," the subordinate reported.
Park Bucheng exchanged a glance with Li Zhenghao. Li Zhenghao nodded, indicating to let her in.
As soon as Li Meili entered, she rushed toward Li Zhenghao anxiously. "Zhenghao, are you okay? I heard the prosecutor's office sealed off the headquarters; it scared me to death!"
Li Zhenghao comforted her with a pat on her back, "I'm fine. But how did you find your way here?"
Wiping her tears, Li Meili said, "I inquired for a long time and finally got this address from one of the younger brothers." She turned to Park Bucheng, "Minister, what should we do now? Our money is all frozen."
Park Bucheng looked at her meaningfully, "Don't worry; I have my plans." He turned to the others, "Now, I need to speak with Li Meili alone."
The others discreetly exited the room, leaving only Park Bucheng and Li Meili.
"Li Meili," Park Bucheng said as he locked eyes with her, "I know you’ve been providing information to the prosecutor's office."
Li Meili's expression changed dramatically as she instinctively took a step back. "I... I don't know what you're talking about..."
Park Bucheng let out a cold laugh. "Stop pretending. I’ve known for a long time that you’re Han Mi Na’s spy planted within our ranks."
Li Meili's hand subtly reached for her waist, but Park Bucheng was quicker. He darted behind her and pressed a finger on her acupoint.
"Six Meridians Divine Sword, focusing on acupoint sealing," Park Bucheng said softly. "Now, you can hardly move a finger."
Li Meili's eyes widened in terror as she realized she truly couldn't move.
"Don't be afraid; I won't kill you," Park Bucheng said as he walked around to face her. "On the contrary, I want to thank you."
Li Meili looked confused. "Thank me?"
"Yes, thank you for giving me an opportunity to strike back at the prosecution," Park Bucheng smiled. He pulled out a USB drive from his pocket and waved it in front of Li Meili. "This contains some special information that I hope you can pass on to Han Mi Na."
Li Meili watched him warily. "What information?"
"Our secret account details overseas, along with some important transaction specifics." Park Bucheng slipped the USB drive into Li Meili's pocket. "Han Mi Na will definitely be interested in these."
Li Meili was puzzled. "Why are you giving this to me?"
Park Bucheng smiled mysteriously. "You’ll understand soon enough." He gently tapped her acupoint, releasing her from its hold. "Now, you can leave. Remember to give the USB drive to Han Mi Na."
After hesitating for a moment, Li Meili finally took the USB drive and left.
Park Bucheng returned to the living room, where Li Zhenghao approached him. "Boss, you let her go?"
Park Bucheng nodded, "Yes, I gave her some special 'gifts.'"
Li Zhenghao frowned, "But she is an undercover agent!"
Park Bucheng patted his shoulder, "Exactly because she is an undercover agent, she has value. I gave her a USB drive with a special program that, once plugged into the prosecutor's office computer, will automatically hack their system and unfreeze our accounts."
Li Zhenghao suddenly understood, "Boss, you're brilliant!"
Park Bucheng shook his head, "This is just the first step. Han Mi Na won't be defeated so easily." He turned to the others, "Now, we need to activate Plan B."
The next morning, in the office of the Special Investigation Team at the prosecutor's office, Han Mi Na was reviewing the reports from last night's operation. Although they had sealed several strongholds of the Tai Chi Gang and frozen their accounts, Park Bucheng's escape left her extremely frustrated.
Just then, Li Meili rushed in, "Chief, I have important intelligence!"
Han Mi Na looked up, "What intelligence?"
Li Meili pulled a USB drive from her pocket, "Park Bucheng's overseas account information and details of some important transactions. I risked my life to get this."
Han Mi Na's eyes lit up as she immediately took the USB drive and plugged it into her computer. However, just as she opened the file, the computer screen suddenly flickered and then went completely black.
"What’s going on?" Han Mi Na exclaimed as she pounded on the keyboard, but the computer remained unresponsive.
Meanwhile, a commotion erupted outside the office. A colleague rushed in panic, "Chief, it's bad! The system has been hacked! All frozen accounts have been unfrozen!"
Han Mi Na stood up abruptly, "What?!"
She turned to Li Meili with suspicion in her eyes, "What happened?"
Li Meili looked bewildered. "I... I don't know..."
At that moment, Han Mi Na's phone rang. It was a text message from an unknown number: "Prosecutor Han, the game has just begun. Looking forward to the next round. — Park Bucheng"
Han Mi Na trembled with anger and slammed her phone onto the ground.
Meanwhile, in the secret Gang Stronghold of Tai Chi Gang, Park Bucheng was monitoring the chaos at the prosecutor's office through his computer.
"The plan worked, boss!" Zhao Yuhang exclaimed excitedly. "Our accounts have been unfrozen, and the funds can flow normally now!"
Park Bucheng nodded in satisfaction. "Good. But this is just the beginning. Han Mi Na won't back down easily."
Li Zhenghao asked curiously, "Boss, what should we do next?"
Park Bucheng stood up, a dangerous glint in his eyes. "Counterattack. Since Han Mi Na wants to play a complete lockdown, we'll let her experience what it feels like to be locked down."
He walked over to a map and pointed to a location. "This is Han Mi Na's home. Starting today, I want her to be unable to move an inch."
