Deng Ting squinted and smiled, saying that the person just looked fierce but was actually very gentle. I’ve already checked this out, so don’t talk nonsense.

Deng Ting was speechless. "It’s fine; there are plenty of options here, and you’ll definitely find someone you like."

Yun Li had spent the entire day at home and only decided to go downstairs for some Spicy Hot Pot when she became too hungry in the evening.
She wore her pajamas and had no makeup on, her hair was a bit messy as it fell over her shoulders, but her beautiful face was enough to hold everything together.
She picked out some of her favorite dishes and meatballs, sitting down to wait for her meal to be ready. After dragging it out, it was already past ten by the time she finished eating.
After paying the bill and stepping outside, a cold wind hit her, causing her to shrink her neck and head into a store to buy a few things.
She realized she was out of wet wipes and also needed sanitary napkins, so she thought as she picked items off the shelf one by one.
Once she had everything she needed, she turned to head towards the checkout counter and unexpectedly bumped into Jiang Shiyu who had just walked in.
Yun Li paused for a moment; their gazes met before Yun Li quickly looked away. She calmly proceeded to pay without looking at him.
After completing her transaction, she hurriedly left the store.
Walking down the street, her body felt somewhat stiff as she discreetly glanced back to see if he was following her.
There was no one behind her, and she let out a sigh of relief.
In just two short days, they had run into each other three times.
Why was he here? The place he lived was far from here and not on the way at all.
She shook her head and stopped thinking about it.
Jiang Shiyu watched her leave from around the corner; he only turned away after she entered the neighborhood and disappeared from view.
At the bar, he sat alone at the counter with a drink when Qin Nianzhe came in and joined him. "Why are you drinking alone?"
"I told you Yun Li was on a blind date! Did you see it with your own eyes?" Qin Nianzhe said with a hint of schadenfreude.
Jiang Shiyu didn't even glance at him.
Yun Li had learned about the matchmaking event from Qin Nianzhe. That was why he had wrapped up his business at the hair salon early to rush back. It was purely coincidental that he ran into them. It was none of his business that someone else was on a blind date; what was he doing there, stirring up trouble? Qin Nianzhe's words struck him again with cold indifference.
He was doing it on purpose; over the years, he had watched Jiang Shiyu struggle with feelings he couldn't act on, and it frustrated him. When had he ever seen Jiang Shiyu in such a state? Now that someone was preparing to marry him, it felt unbearable not to poke at his heart.
After downing a couple of drinks, Qin Nianzhe decided to leave. "I’m out of here. Don’t drink too much; I won’t be coming back for you."
Jiang Shiyu silently finished his drink and settled the bill before leaving.
Shu had run to Yun Li's place after having a fight with Cheng Zhou, wanting to avoid him. Yun Li poured her a glass of water and sat beside her, his gaze lingering on the marks on her neck as he smirked, "Looks like things got pretty intense!"
Shu took a sip of water and rested her head on her hand. "What does my dating life have to do with you? Always meddling."
"What are you two fighting about?" Yun Li asked.
"We're not fighting. I never really dated him; we were just friends with benefits—mutual needs. Now I'm tired of him and don’t want to continue."
Yun Li's jaw dropped in surprise; he hadn't expected their relationship to be like that.
Shu calmly closed her mouth, "I didn’t mention it because I thought it wasn’t necessary."
"And Cheng Zhou—"
"That guy is so full of himself. He’s used to being above everyone else, so he definitely wouldn’t take being dumped well," Shu thought.
She felt that after all these years, there was no desire to take their relationship further; it suddenly seemed quite pointless. During holidays, they would have to pretend their families were just celebrating friendship while Cheng Zhou acted as if everything was perfectly innocent, like a seasoned criminal playing his part convincingly.
