Yun pressed her lips together and nodded, saying, "You'll see soon enough."
Peng Qingyu, with his hands in his pockets and a clear voice, replied, "Then let's see who has captured the most elusive beauty, Yun Da."
The other two laughed heartily.
"When did you become so unserious?" Yun thought to herself, feeling exasperated by them.
Once inside the airport, Yun checked the time. It was about time to meet Li. She scanned the crowd; the airport was quite busy at that moment. People hurriedly walked by, dragging their luggage behind them.
Suddenly, she spotted Jiang Shiyu in the crowd. He was holding a small black suitcase and wore a black windbreaker along with a denim cap. His handsome face bore a hint of irritation. Standing beside him were Cheng Zhou and Shu.
Cheng Zhou was dressed in a black down jacket, pushing a cart loaded with several suitcases. Shu wore sunglasses, her black and red hair cascading down her shoulders, dressed in a white down jacket and white high-heeled long boots. The three of them stood together like a striking scene.
Upon seeing Yun, Jiang Shiyu's expression softened somewhat. Yun walked over but found herself rushing towards Shu instead. The two embraced joyfully.
"Hao Hao, you look even more beautiful! Someone is really lucky," Shu exclaimed.
The person being referred to shot them an annoyed look and grumbled in a low voice, "That someone is still here! Are you pointing me out so blatantly?"
This time, Shu wasn't afraid of him because she had a strong backing now. The two girls continued chatting, and Shu hugged Yu Meng as well.
She introduced Yu Meng and Peng Qingyu to Jiang Shiyu, saying, "This is Hao Hao's boyfriend, the notorious playboy from Experimental Middle School who has countless girlfriends at Jinghua Hangda."
As soon as those words left her mouth, Yu Meng, Peng Qingyu, and Xu Nian frowned. Yu Meng pulled Yun closer as if Jiang Shiyu were some kind of plague.
Feeling the disdain directed at him, Jiang Shiyu clicked his tongue in dissatisfaction. "You really can't say anything nice, can you?"
He reached out his hand to Yun, "Hao Hao, come here."
Yun took a step toward him, and Yu Meng gave Xu Nian a glance. Xu Nian quickly moved to block the way, positioning himself between the two.
"Come on, Yun, it's been a long time since we've all gathered. Let's go welcome Brother Cheng and Shu."
Yun turned to look at the sullen-faced Jiang Shiyu and extended his hand. "Jiang Shiyu, come along."
Jiang Shiyu's expression softened a bit as he stepped forward, pushing Xu Nian aside to grasp Yun's hand. His hand was warm and large, enveloping Yun's completely.
The others watched their strong bond with exasperation.
Yu Meng said, "Alright, alright! For Yun's sake, we'll temporarily accept you."
As they walked outside, a black sedan was parked at the airport entrance. A middle-aged man saw Jiang Shiyu approaching and greeted him, "Young Master."
Jiang Shiyu nodded and handed something to the man. "Uncle Li, please tell Grandpa that I’ll be back later."
Uncle Li's gaze shifted to the girl beside Jiang Shiyu, and his smile widened. "Got it!"
He turned to put the item in the trunk when Cheng Zhou called out to him, "Uncle Li, could you also take this back for us?"
"Of course, Young Master Cheng," Uncle Li replied.
Xu Nian was surprised. "Brother Cheng, are you that familiar with him?"
