Yun lay on the bed, feeling a bit drowsy when suddenly her phone rang. 0

She squinted at the screen and saw it was Shu Ran. 0

"What’s going on with Shu Ran?" 0

Shu Ran shouted from the other end, "Jiang Shiyu is in a relationship again!" 0

Yun instantly woke up. 0

"How do you know?" she asked, a bit incredulous. They had just parted ways; how could this be? 0

Shu Ran replied, "It was mentioned in the high school class group chat. I sent you the picture." 0

Yun sat up and opened WeChat to check the photo Shu Ran had sent her. The setting was a bar. 0

Jiang Shiyu was lounging on a sofa, looking at his phone, while a girl leaned close to him. 0

The air conditioning in the room roared, and the cold air sent chills through Yun’s body. 0

She blinked her dry eyes, but soon a wave of bitterness washed over her, and her eyes turned red. 0

Shu Ran continued, "I remember that girl; she’s from their class but never stood out much. They all say she knows how to seize opportunities—she confessed as soon as Jiang Shiyu arrived." 0

In the bathroom, Jiang Shiyu agreed on the spot, while other girls were left behind. 0

After finishing her sentence, Shu Ran noticed the silence on Yun's end and grew worried. "Hao Hao, are you okay?" 0

Unbeknownst to her, tears began to slide down Yun's cheeks. She fought to keep her voice steady. "I’m fine, Ran Ran. I’m going to sleep now." 0

Shu Ran knew she would probably hide away and cry again. "Hao Hao, don’t be sad. You know he’s always like this; after a month, he’ll break up again." 0

"Ran Ran, I really am fine; I’ve gotten used to it. Let’s not talk about it anymore; I’m hanging up." 0

Yun put down her phone without looking at the photo again. She lay back down on her side as silent tears streamed down her face. 0

She had actually gotten used to it; it was just that recent events had given her a glimmer of hope that she too might have a chance. 0

She forgot that someone like Jiang Shiyu would never stay for anyone. He had no extra thoughts for her; it was all in her head. 0

The next day, Jiang Ci went to his grandfather's house. 0

The grandfather and grandson sat together discussing what had happened yesterday. 0

"Grandpa, that sister is so beautiful. She treated me to ice cream, helped me pick out fish bones, and even played with me. Unlike my brother, who just scolds me," the little boy said. 0

Jiang Zesheng smiled and asked, "Is that sister named Yun?" 0

Jiang Ci thought for a moment and nodded. "Yeah, it seems like my brother listens to her quite a bit." 0

Jiang Zesheng continued to inquire if anything had happened between them. 0

"Grandpa, yesterday my brother made me cause trouble. He told me to cry and shout for a carousel, saying if I cried harder and threw a tantrum, he would buy me building blocks. Why did he do that?" 0

"I don't know. But after I did that, that sister came over and offered me her spot." 0

"That sister is really nice. I wish she were my real sister. My brother is too mean; I don't like him at all." 0

Just then, Jiang Shiyu came down from upstairs and heard the little guy's words. His voice was cool as he said, "Forget about the building blocks; you don't even like me anyway." 0

Jiang Ci immediately stood up to deny it. "I don't! I like my brother the most!" 0

Dressed in loungewear and slippers, Jiang Shiyu came down, poured himself a glass of water, and drank it. He looked relaxed but appeared to have not slept well. 0

Jiang Zesheng approached him and continued to ask, "A Yu, how are you getting along with that little girl?" 0

After finishing his water and setting the glass down, Jiang Shiyu walked upstairs with an indifferent expression. "Grandpa, Ji is getting older; he should eat less salt." 0

Jiang Zesheng was so annoyed by Jiang Shiyu's response that his beard almost stood on end. "You little rascal!" 0

For the past few days, Yun had not gone out to play. Since last night, she had been practicing in Wu Fang. 0

She practiced until she was exhausted; when she was tired, she wouldn't think about him. 0

She wouldn't feel sad or upset. 0

On the day of returning to school, Yun bought a ticket and arrived at the High-Speed Rail Station. She still felt a bit hopeful about seeing him. 0

But until she boarded the train, there was no sign of him, and Yun couldn't help but feel her eyes redden again. 0

On the day she returned to school, she went straight to rehearsal. Yun hadn't gone out at all since school started; Qin Nianchu was also busy rehearsing. 0

Qin Nianzhe didn't have time to go out for meals either. 0

As the end of the month approached, Qin Nianchu's department was set to depart for an overseas performance on November 5th. 0

After the rehearsal, Qin Nianchu pulled Yun and Chen Jin Xiu to the cafeteria. As soon as they arrived, they spotted Jiang Shiyu and a few others. Yun averted her gaze, not wanting to look at him, while Qin Nianchu muttered, "Hurry up, I'm starving!" 0

The group engaged in casual conversation. Chen Jin Xiu, with her cheerful personality, quickly struck up a rapport with Zhang Yu and Xu Jiaxing. Yun ordered a serving of Pork Chop Noodles, and the group gathered around the table to eat. Throughout the meal, Yun remained quiet and composed. 0
