No one doubted Jiang Shiyu's claim of being unfamiliar with a few people. After all, Cheng Zhou's personality was just that—cold and indifferent to everything except for one person, and that was Shu Ran. 0

However, Yun knew that the two were not only familiar but often sparked friction between them. Cheng Zhou and Jiang Shiyu were both prominent figures at Experimental Middle School. One was an unattainable flower on a high peak, while the other was a rebellious rogue. Cheng Zhou, being the class monitor, always had to step in whenever Jiang Shiyu got into trouble, working hard to guide him back on track. 0

The moment others saw Cheng Zhou’s cold, expressionless face, they immediately complied without needing him to say another word. But Jiang Shiyu seemed to have a rebellious streak, completely disregarding Cheng Zhou’s authority. The two often competed against each other—one resented the extra work he caused, while the other felt he was meddling too much. Neither would back down, and they spent three years in the same class together. 0

Why three years? Because both were in the science stream, and only Cheng Zhou dared to stand up to Jiang Shiyu, so the school arranged for them to be in the same class for better management. 0

As for how Yun knew all this? It was Shu Ran who told her. Since she wasn’t at Experimental Middle School, she had to rely on Shu Ran to keep her updated about him; only Shu Ran knew about her unspoken crush. 0

Dishes began to arrive at the table, and Jiang Ci stretched his neck to see if there was anything he liked. Pouting, he tugged at Jiang Shiyu’s sleeve and said, “Brother, I want cake.” 0

With a cold expression, Jiang Shiyu scooped some meatball soup over rice for him. His voice was firm and left no room for refusal: “Eat what you’re given.” 0

Jiang Ci looked at the soup spoon and said, “I don’t like green onions.” 0

Jiang Shiyu glanced down at him and replied, “Pick them out yourself.” 0

Jiang Ci pleaded with a pitiful look, “Brother, please help me pick them out. Mom always does it at home.” 0

“I’m not your mother. Pick them out yourself or don’t eat,” Jiang Shiyu coldly refused, showing no leniency. 0

The others ate in silence; it was important to be strict when educating children. Otherwise, they would grow up thinking someone would always protect them and act recklessly. 0

Jiang Ci looked at Yun Zheng and Yu Meng, who were engrossed in conversation and didn’t notice his pleading gaze for help. With no one to assist him, he pouted and used his spoon to carefully push the chopped green onions aside, bit by bit. 0

After Jiang Ci stopped sulking and Hao Hao finished eating, Jiang Shiyu finally served him some dishes. Yun bent down and asked Jiang Ci, "Sweetheart, do you eat fish?" 0

Hearing the word "sweetheart," Jiang Ci thought his mother had arrived. He lifted his eyes, brightening momentarily, but when he saw it was Sister Yun, he dimmed a bit before smiling and replied, "Yes, but I'm afraid of the bones." 0

Yun's voice was gentle and clear. "I'll help you pick them out." She took a piece of fish, examined it carefully for bones, and then placed it in his bowl. 0

Jiang Ci happily ate it and said, "Sister, I want more fish that Hao Hao eats!" 0

"Okay," Yun continued to help him pick out the fish. Jiang Shiyu watched from the side and also took a large piece of fish, opened it up to remove any small bones, and then placed it in Jiang Ci's bowl. 0

"Be careful when you eat; if there are bones, spit them out," he cautioned. 0

Jiang Ci looked at the chunk of fish in his bowl, about the size of his thumb, which was picked by his brother. He felt a bit hesitant to eat it. His brother had chosen it casually and didn’t take as much care as Sister Yun; what if he choked on a bone? 0

With a weak voice, Jiang Ci picked up the fish and said, "Brother, I don’t like eating fish anymore. You can have it!" 0

Jiang Shiyu raised an eyebrow threateningly. "Are you sure?" 0

Feeling flustered, Jiang Ci thought for a moment but obediently put the fish in his mouth. 0

Watching their interaction, Yun felt that this little guy was going to be scared to death by Jiang Shiyu. 0

After carefully finishing the fish and realizing there were no bones to worry about, Jiang Ci finally relaxed. Children eat little and quickly feel full. Yun also ate less and soon set down her chopsticks. Jiang Ci yawned, rubbed his eyes, and leaned against Yun with half-closed eyes, looking as if he was about to fall asleep. 0
