Yun glanced over and realized it wasn't that ugly; the angles were quite good. In some places, Nianchu would be fine with just a little adjustment, and Qin Nianzhe had worked hard to capture the shots.
Qin Nianzhe seemed to have found a savior and immediately moved closer to Yun, only to be pulled away by Jiang Shiyu with one hand.
"You're in my way," Jiang Shiyu said flatly.
Qin Nianzhe turned to Yun and said, "Yun, you still understand me. I've been taking photos for so long, and she still doesn't appreciate it."
Qin Nianchu shot him a glance but didn't scold him further.
She pulled him over, saying, "We haven't taken our photo yet!"
Qin Nianchu handed the camera to Qin Nianzhe and warned him, "Hao Hao, take the picture."
Yun rarely took photos and didn't know how to pose, so she awkwardly made a peace sign.
Qin Nianzhe found a good angle and snapped the picture, looking very pleased with his masterpiece.
Qin Nianchu grabbed the camera to take a look and nodded in satisfaction. "Not bad."
Jiang Shiyu stood behind them and leaned down to see the photo on the camera.
The girl stood properly with her feet together, her right hand raised in a peace sign, a light smile gracing her lips. Her face was small, with skin that had a hint of rosy glow.
Her almond-shaped eyes sparkled with life, making it hard for anyone to look away.
Beside her, Qin Nianchu knew how to pose well; she lifted one foot and wrapped one arm around Yun while extending the other hand upwards. A playful and cute smile adorned her face.
The four of them planned to eat out before heading back to school. However, Yun and Qin Nianchu received a last-minute notice to return to school for rehearsals.
It seemed they wouldn't be having dinner after all. Yun and Qin Nianchu quickly hailed a taxi at the aquarium entrance to head back to school.
Inside the car, Yun turned her head to look out the window at Jiang Shiyu.
She felt a bit reluctant but managed to pull her gaze away.
Upon returning to school, they immediately changed into their practice outfits and rehearsed from four in the afternoon until nine at night.
Yun held an important position in this Group Dance and Dance Drama; she was essentially leading everyone.
The teacher's words were clear: they needed to familiarize themselves with everything before National Day. Everyone should also keep busy at home, remembering their moves and positions.
That night, everyone in the dormitory packed their things in preparation for going home the next day.
"Nianchu, aren't you going back to Jiangzhou for National Day?"
Nianchu shook her head. "Qin Nianzhe and I are going to another city to have fun, so we won't be going home."
Zheng Yating hadn't stayed in the dorm for a long time. She had heard from others that her boyfriend drove her back every morning. She didn't have many belongings in the dorm, so it felt empty.
Suddenly, the door opened, and Zheng Yating returned with a scowl on her face. She slammed her bag on the table, dressed elegantly, and shot a glare at Yun, who was tidying up her things.
"Are you going back with Jiang Shiyu tomorrow?"
The once quiet dorm was filled with the sound of clothes being hung up, but everyone stopped to look at her when she spoke.
Seeing that Zheng Yating seemed to be addressing her, Yun shook her head. "No!"
Zheng Yating sat down, crossed her arms, and raised her chin haughtily, disdain evident in her eyes. "Do you like Jiang Shiyu?"
Yun frowned and stood up straight.
Zheng Yating continued, "Jiang Shiyu doesn't like your type. Don't waste your energy."
"I don't know what he likes, but I do know he dislikes someone like you," Yun replied coldly, her bright and gentle face now carrying an edge.
Zheng Yating looked as if she had been hit where it hurt; she exploded in anger, standing up with her meticulously made-up eyes glaring fiercely at Yun.
After hastily gathering some of her things, Zheng Yating stormed out, slamming the door behind her.
Qin Nianchu and Chen Jin Xiu gave Yun a thumbs-up.
"That's how you should respond! She thinks you're too easy to bully," Qin Nianchu said, feeling a sense of relief and satisfaction.
"Exactly! You're not a soft persimmon; you just happen to have a soft-looking face," Chen Jin Xiu added as she quickly finished packing and settled into a chair with a relaxed posture.
Inside, Yun remained calm on the surface but felt a whirlwind of emotions. No one knew about her feelings for Jiang Shiyu, and having Zheng Yating expose it so brazenly startled her.
