A couple of days ago, the student from the Ballet department seemed to have broken up with Jiang Shiyu from Jinghua University's Aerospace College. It was said that the day after their breakup, she started dating one of Jiang Shiyu's classmates.
Yun Li was stretching her legs when she heard the name Jiang Shiyu, and her eyes flickered slightly. Just a month ago, she had confidently claimed that Jiang Shiyu had feelings for her, always escorting her to class. Yet here they were, having split up in less than a month. She was the first one among them to end a relationship so quickly. The girls nearby laughed at this.
Yun Li didn’t know who that girl was, but she was aware that Jiang Shiyu had been dating someone from their school. However, she hadn’t inquired too much; asking too many questions would only complicate things for herself.
One of the girls leaned over and said, “Yun Li, that girl seems to be in your dorm; her name is Zheng Yating. Do you know why they broke up?”
Yun Li was taken aback. “Huh? I don’t know either.”
The girl looked a bit disappointed. “Oh! I thought you were close with her!”
Then she added, “But thinking about it, Zheng Yating has such a bad temper; with your good nature, you probably couldn’t stand her.”
After saying this, she turned back to talk to others about Zheng Yating.
A male classmate from the Ballet department mentioned that Zheng Yating had become accustomed to being domineering in class due to her capabilities, and the teachers never reprimanded her for not being cooperative with her classmates because of her proud personality. However, everyone in their class disliked her.
At first, she didn’t have a separate dormitory; it was only later that her roommates couldn’t tolerate her tendency to boss people around and belittle others. This caused the girls in their dorm to become mentally exhausted, leading them to request a room change from the teacher.
Eventually, she moved into Yun Li’s dormitory.
“Yun Li, you’re not being bullied by her, are you?” another girl asked with concern.
Yun Li thought for a moment and recalled that when Zheng Yating first came to their dormitory, she indeed wasn’t easy to get along with. At that time, Yun Li thought they would be living together for a long time, so everyone tried to help her out.
Initially, they only helped carry her luggage upstairs; however, it gradually evolved into cleaning her bed and desk for her. While Yun Li was lost in thought about her assignments and absentmindedly following Zheng Yating’s requests, she didn’t even realize what was happening.
Chen Jin Xiu and Qin Nianchu noticed something was off and intervened.
Qin Nianchu put her hands on her hips and said discontentedly, “Classmate, you should do your own work; why do you need to boss others around?”
Zheng Yating sat on a chair playing on her phone. Hearing the voice, she glanced at Qin Nianchu with an arrogant expression and replied dismissively, “She’s doing it willingly; where do you see me bossing her around?”
Chen Jin Xiu stood in front of Zheng Yating with her arms crossed. Her strong presence exuded an air of intimidation.
It was hard for Li Li to refuse; she was just being polite. But how could you shamelessly let her do everything for you?
Yun Li, momentarily confused, quickly responded, "No, it's just a little bit."
Zheng Yating's voice rang out, "Did you hear that? She’s willing to open my suitcase and hang all my clothes in the wardrobe."
As she spoke, Zheng Yating began to give orders with practiced ease.
This time, Yun Li didn't hesitate; her thoughts were clear and normal. She was left speechless by Zheng Yating's imposing demeanor. Her voice hardened a bit as she said, "Since you've moved everything up here, you can take your time organizing the rest."
With that, she pulled Chen Jin Xiu and Qin Nianchu back to their own spots.
Only then did Qin Nianchu and Chen Jin Xiu turn around with satisfied expressions. Both of them had straightforward personalities and spoke up.
Qin Nianchu's tone rose playfully, "Li Li, I thought you were sweet but silly! Luckily, you're just sweet and not foolish."
Chen Jin Xiu raised her eyebrows, feeling a sense of relief. "Our Li Li just doesn’t like to fuss over things; it doesn’t mean she can be bullied at will."
This was clearly directed at Zheng Yating. Chen Jin Xiu and Qin Nianchu had heard about Zheng Yating's notorious reputation before. They had no intention of helping her from the start. Yun Li, not knowing the situation initially, thought she could assist her, but now that she understood, she wouldn’t let herself be easily manipulated.
Zheng Yating was furious. With a loud bang, she slammed the dormitory door shut behind her.
Chen Jin Xiu frowned in dissatisfaction and cursed under her breath, "Damn it, does she think this is her home?"
Returning to her thoughts, Yun Li smiled softly. "No worries; I won’t let anyone bully me!"
The teacher arrived, and everyone quickly stood in line, not daring to delay.
