Qiu Jisi Delson, by lineage, was Jon's cousin, a few years younger. Years ago, when the Immortal Dragon Seal cast a curse upon Jon, Qiu Jisi Delson was present. The Delson Family regarded Jon as an ill omen, so when Jon expressed his desire to leave the Delson Family and develop in the United States, the family members supported his decision.
Since Jon left the Delson Family, he had little contact with them. Unexpectedly, after seventy years, Jon returned to the family. When the butler informed him of Jon's arrival, Qiu Jisi Delson was momentarily dazed before regaining his composure and hurried over, only to hear Jon's "brazen" voice proclaiming that he had come to compete for the position of Clan Leader.
At that moment, seeing Jon in person left Qiu Jisi Delson utterly shocked. Over the years, although he had not seen Jon, he knew that Jon's life had been quite miserable, burdened as he was by the curse of the Undying Dragon Clan. Yet now, Jon appeared unharmed and full of vitality, looking far younger than someone approaching a hundred; he seemed more like a man in his sixties or seventies.
This was difficult for Qiu Jisi Delson to accept. Logically speaking, Jon should have been the most unfortunate among their generation, but now he seemed to be thriving and looked remarkably youthful—he could easily live another ten or twenty years without issue.
As Jon observed Qiu Jisi Delson being brought before him, he couldn't help but recall his own past. Had it not been for Jiang Chen, he too might have been like Qiu Jisi Delson, confined to a wheelchair and perhaps even worse off.
Jon reflected on this briefly before regaining his composure. "Qiu Jisi Delson, it's been a long time," he greeted calmly. "However, your claim that I lack the qualifications to compete for Clan Leader is something I must disagree with. Anyone from the Delson Family has the right to vie for that position."
"Jon, you are older than I am and lack prestige within the Delson Family. How can you compete?" Qiu Jisi Delson replied coldly. Due to his frailty, he coughed violently after finishing his sentence.
"It seems there is no rule stating that older individuals cannot become Clan Leader. As for prestige, it can be established quite easily. You needn't worry about me; given your current state, it would be best if you focused on your health today while we select a new Clan Leader," Jon countered.
"Ha! Even if age isn't an issue, prestige cannot be built overnight. Don't think that killing Bowen has made you formidable; do you believe we lack strong warriors in the Delson Family?" Qiu Jisi Delson scoffed.
"Strong warriors and gods are different," Jon replied with a smile.
"So you're suggesting that this ordinary person is a god?" Qiu Jisi Delson found it laughable.
"One could say that," Jon nodded seriously.
"A mere kid—what does it matter if he has some skills? Since he killed someone from our family today, he must pay with his life." Qiu Jisi Delson's expression suddenly darkened as he seemed to address the air softly. "Wangang Jun, please come forth."
As soon as Qiu Jisi Delson finished speaking, a shadow darted through the crowd like the wind and appeared before him. Wangang Yorin was one of the top ten elite experts from Island Nation, skilled in ninjutsu, illusions, and swordsmanship. He had been summoned by Qiu Jisi Delson years ago to serve as his guardian deity and had been protecting him from the shadows ever since.
