Yun Yichen and the others immediately scattered to avoid the attack. Yun Yichen unleashed the Chaos Lingwen, forming a powerful defensive barrier to withstand the onslaught of the Guardian Beast. He realized that this Guardian Beast was the true force guarding the Stellar Staff, and only by defeating it could they obtain the staff. Yun Yichen exchanged glances with Su Yao and Lin Yu, and the three silently reached a consensus to join forces against the Guardian Beast.
Yun Yichen executed his strongest move of the Chaos Lingwen, sending waves of Chaos Radiance toward the Guardian Beast in an attempt to disrupt its attack rhythm. Su Yao combined her swordsmanship with Lingwen techniques, launching a side attack on the Guardian Beast to find its weakness. Meanwhile, Lin Yu harnessed wind-based spiritual power to create powerful whirlwinds around the Guardian Beast, interfering with its movements.
In the heat of battle, Yun Yichen noticed that although the Guardian Beast was formidable, there were brief moments of stagnation in the flow of Starlight Power during its attacks. Seizing this opportunity, he unleashed a full-force strike, and a beam of Chaos Radiance struck the core of the Guardian Beast. The creature let out a painful roar as its body began to gradually dissipate.
With the disappearance of the Guardian Beast, the last Energy Crystal lost its power, causing the Phantom Guardians to vanish as well. Yun Yichen and his companions successfully defeated the Guardian Beast and approached the Stellar Staff. Yun Yichen reached out and grasped the staff; a surge of powerful Starlight Power flowed into him, and he felt the endless strength contained within it.
With the Stellar Staff in hand, Yun Yichen and his companions left the ruins. They knew that three more artifacts awaited their discovery and that mysterious forces would not rest easily; their future path was filled with uncertainty and challenges. However, they firmly believed that as long as they stood united, they could protect the peace of Lingyuan Realm.
Yun Yichen's group set off without delay to search for the next artifact—the Nine Nether Demon Sword. According to ancient texts, it was sealed in a mysterious valley located in the southwestern outskirts of Lingyuan Realm. This valley was known as Jiu You Valley, where legends spoke of an overwhelming presence of Nine Nether Yin Qi that would erode any ordinary soul that dared to enter. Additionally, powerful demonic creatures guarded this valley; influenced by sealing powers, they had become extraordinarily ferocious, far exceeding ordinary beasts.
After days and nights of travel, Yun Yichen and his companions finally arrived at the outskirts of Jiu You Valley. As they approached, a chilling aura assaulted them, as if countless icy hands were tugging at their souls. Su Yao couldn't help but shiver; she hugged her arms tightly and said, "The Yin Qi in Jiu You Valley is so heavy; we must proceed with caution." Lin Yu's expression was grave as he tightly gripped his weapon, vigilantly scanning their surroundings.
Yun Yichen took out the Qiankun Compass in an attempt to use its power to resist the encroaching Yin Qi and find a safe path into the valley. The compass needle shook violently under the interference of Yin Qi, but with his strong Lingwen power and unwavering will, Yun Yichen gradually stabilized it. The needle slowly pointed toward a direction within the valley, prompting Yun Yichen to lead everyone forward.
As they ventured deeper into Jiu You Valley, the environment grew increasingly eerie and terrifying. The ground was covered in black moss that emitted a foul odor, while strange sounds echoed from both sides of the valley walls as if countless vengeful souls were weeping. Suddenly, a massive Nine Nether Demon Spider leaped down from one of the walls. This demon spider was covered in black scales with eight eyes gleaming with an eerie green light; it spewed forth black silk imbued with deadly poison.
Yun Yichen immediately activated his Chaos Lingwen again, forming a shield to protect everyone. The spider's silk struck against the shield with a sizzling sound as black ripples spread across its surface. Observing its attack patterns closely, Yun Yichen noted that each strike was followed by a brief pause. Seizing this moment, he unleashed a Lingwen attack; a beam of light pierced through the silk and struck the demon spider. It let out a sharp cry as its body swayed slightly before launching another attack.
Yun Yichen and his companions engaged in an intense battle with Nine Nether Demon Spider. Su Yao wielded her sword fiercely in an attempt to sever its silk while Lin Yu used wind-based spiritual energy to create small tornadoes around it to disrupt its movements. However, they soon realized that this demon spider was no ordinary foe; its scales were incredibly tough, rendering their attacks ineffective.
Understanding that they needed to find a weakness to defeat it, Yun Yichen focused intently and used Lingyuan Eye to scrutinize its body structure. Finally, he discovered that there was a section on its abdomen where the scales were thinner—potentially its weak point. He shared this finding with Su Yao and Lin Yu; together they decided to launch a coordinated attack on that vulnerable spot.
Yun Yichen unleashed a powerful Lingwen attack to draw Nine Nether Demon Spider's attention while Su Yao and Lin Yu charged from both sides toward it. Su Yao executed swift sword strikes aimed at its abdomen while Lin Yu used wind blades to slice through its scales there. With their combined efforts, they finally broke through its abdominal scales, revealing an open wound. The demon spider let out a pained howl as it thrashed wildly while spewing forth large amounts of silk.
Yun Yichen and his companions quickly dodged its silk attacks as he once again unleashed a formidable move from Chaos Lingwen —a beam of Chaos Radiance struck directly at Nine Nether Demon Spider's wound. The spider's body was enveloped by Chaos Radiance; with one final scream, it collapsed onto the ground, devoid of life.
After defeating Nine Nether Demon Spider, Yun Yichen and his companions continued deeper into Jiu You Valley. They noticed that as they progressed further into the valley, both Yin Qi and demonic creatures became increasingly potent. These creatures varied in form; some resembled phantoms while others radiated black flames—they relentlessly attacked Yun Yichen's group, severely hindering their advance.
During one encounter, Yun Yichen's group accidentally fell into a trap filled with Yin Qi. The air was thick with Nine Nether Yin Qi that continuously eroded their bodies and souls. Yun Yichen immediately channeled his Lingwen power in an attempt to dispel it; however, it seemed endless within this trap—he could not drive it away. Su Yao and Lin Yu also struggled against its encroachment but grew increasingly pale as their strength waned.
