Liu Yingyu looked reluctant, truly unwilling to part ways. She had come to regard Yu Suihuan as her closest friend.
Yu Suihuan understood and felt the same way about Liu Yingyu. She gently patted her shoulder in a gesture of comfort.
"Every gathering must come to an end, but that doesn’t mean I won’t come back!" Seeing Liu Yingyu's eyes redden, Yu Suihuan felt a pang of sympathy and continued to reassure her. "We’re not saying goodbye forever. How about this: I’ll treat you to a meal!"
"I want a feast!" Liu Yingyu wiped her tears with the back of her hand, speaking in a slightly muffled voice.
"Of course! You can choose whatever you want, and let’s invite Huo Yaojun too! He helped me out so much last time; if it weren’t for him, my child and I might have been in serious danger. I haven’t even had the chance to thank him yet!"
"Don’t worry, I’ll definitely invite him."
"By the way, Huo Dongkai is back too. Should we invite him as well?"
"Huo Dongkai is back? Then let’s bring him and Wu Qiaoli along!"
It had been a while since she had seen Wu Qiaoli, so this would be a good opportunity to say goodbye to all her friends in the space.
"Sounds good! Tonight, Old Mo, I’m going to treat you to a big meal! Otherwise, I’m afraid I won’t have another chance!"
Liu Yingyu knew that Yu Suihuan was well-off and didn’t need to hold back on spending. "Go ahead and eat! Don’t worry about the bill; I can afford it!"
"Alright then! This afternoon, I’ll have Brother Jun drive over to pick you up. You’ve just finished your confinement period, so don’t catch a chill—make sure to dress warmly!"
"Okay, don’t worry!"
After Liu Yingyu left, Yu Suihuan took a sip of the tea on the table and realized it was cold; she quickly set down the cup.
Only then did she notice Sister Lianzhi still in the space—who was supposed to be boiling water for her? She had been considering whether or not to bring her two brothers into the space as well. Besides that, she needed to ask Sister Lianzhi’s opinion since Xiao He was still in school!
Oh right, there was also Yang Qingping. She felt like there was something on her mind regarding her and wanted to find time to talk with her.
After taking a nap in the space during lunch, when she came out, she brought Sister Lianzhi along with her.
Although Zhao Lianzhi was no longer as timid as when they first met, deep down, she held both respect and fear for Yu Suihuan. First and foremost, Yu Suihuan was the benefactor of both her and Xiao He. Moreover, all their needs were provided by Yu Suihuan. Additionally, they had no familial ties to Yu Suihuan, which made her cautious in her interactions.
Thus, she often appeared reserved in front of Yu Suihuan.
"Sister Lianzhi, please have a seat!"
"Ah!"
Zhao Lianzhi quickly wiped her hands on her thighs and sat down.
"Sister Lianzhi, do you have any plans?"
Zhao Lianzhi pressed her lips together, struggling to find the words. Naturally, she wanted to enter the space, but given that they had no connections to Yu Suihuan, she feared being abandoned along with her mother.
Yu Suihuan stood up and poured a cup of tea, handing it to Zhao Lianzhi with a calm demeanor. "Sister Lianzhi, you don’t need to be nervous. We’ve been together for quite some time now. If you have any concerns or requests, feel free to voice them! I intend to send you into the space, but I want to hear your thoughts first. After all, Xiao He is still in school. What do you think?"
"Can we also enter the space?" Zhao Lianzhi looked up in disbelief, her eyes filled with hope.
"Of course! Having someone like you around is quite beneficial for me; it saves me a lot of effort. I’ve come to see you as family after all this time. I believe the Two Grandmas feel the same way. You can decide for yourself!"
"I can do anything! I can help take care of the children and manage your lives. I want to bring Xiao He along too; is that okay?" Her voice grew softer with each word, almost like a whisper.
"Absolutely!"
Yu Suihuan felt relieved knowing that someone like Zhao Lianzhi was by her side; it would make things much easier for her. Plus, it meant that Zhao Lianzhi wouldn’t have to worry about being abandoned anymore.
